When Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid were on the island, the Three Insects would take turns; on schedule they would climb to ten thousand ters altitude, activate the Scorching Ability, and inspect the situation within a 300-kiloter radius around Rainbow Island.
When Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid were not on the island, White Willow would have to work a bit harder, taking on the long-range high-altitude scouting mission alone.
Assistant Kings Spiked Cypress, Giant Cypress, Silver Cypress, Cypress, Black Birch, and Black Persimmon had all used the Divine-Grade Molan Seed and Soul-Setting Fruit; they would then conduct regular patrols, activating the Soul-Setting Ability to sense the seafloor situation within a 30- to 50-kiloter range of their respective garrison points.

Areca tapped its forelegs on the ground, issuing the command.
The Little Primordial Spiders bustled about; after a brief chaos, they lined up neatly and crawled along the ramps, boarding the Throne and entering the nest.
Dragon Cypress asked, "Areca, have you decided? Will you stay on Rainbow Island with everyone, or go to Shanglu and return to the Tribe?"
Areca asked, "Dragon Cypress Ant King, could we do it this way: send the Little Primordial Spiders back to Shanglu to live— they can't wander outside any longer— and I will still stay with everyone?"
Areca couldn't bear to part.
It had lived with Mulberry for more than two hundred years, and had known Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid for more than two hundred years. If it returned to the Tribe, it might never have the chance to see them again in this life; Areca was reluctant to say goodbye.
Beyond that, Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid distributed their surplus resources to other Insects on the Cloud Trace Continent. Following Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid might be a bit dangerous, but resources were plentiful, so it could consider Awakening a third Elental Talent.

Black Rice had gone to Rainbow Island to avoid the Natural God's conscription; later, it still had to return to White Rice Mountain to take root, staying behind to accompany Red Fox.
