As soon as you enter, you can see rows of wooden bookshelves lined with nurous books, about three to four hundred volus.
These books were naturally collected by Cao Xing.
The collection ranged from ancient Magic Secret Books to mysterious astrology tos, as well as grandiose Epic tales and profound philosophical works.
There were also craftsman technique manuals and rigorous historical docunts, among others, in varied categories.
Now, his library is starting to take shape.
Just as Cao Xing was preparing to browse a few books he found interesting, he suddenly noticed a figure in the corner.
She wore a light blue long dress, and her long hair, like a waterfall, gracefully draped over her shoulders.
She was slightly lowering her head, focused on reading the book in her hand, her perfect side profile begging for a second glance.
It was Gweneth, the Minstrel.
So engrossed was she that she didn’t even notice Cao Xing’s arrival.
And Cao Xing did not disturb her, instead imrsing himself in a few books.
After several hours of reading, his Attribute slightly improved.
At the sa ti, he ca across an interesting book titled [Corpse Kingdom]

Having finished the book, Cao Xing was deep in thought.
"A Kingdom shrouded in Plague? Does this Kingdom still exist?"
After pondering for a while, he found no clues.
Cao Xing then closed the book again.
Glancing at the ti, it was already past two in the afternoon.
"I didn’t realize, but reading like this, four or five hours passed just like that."
So, he looked at Gweneth beside him, then said: "I’m heading out first; rember to rest. If you’re tired, take a walk outside."
Hearing Cao Xing’s voice, it seed this woman only then ca back to her senses.
Gently, she lifted her head and gestured towards him.
Cao Xing didn’t understand, but knew it was Gweneth’s response to him.
Thus, he pushed open the library door, and was again t with a blanket of white fog.
Cao Xing continued to roam within the Territory.
A mont later, he arrived at the buffer zone of the Territory and heard the sound of footsteps nearby.
With his current hearing, he could clearly hear movents kiloters away.
However, he couldn’t see who was moving within the Territory.
But soon, he saw the figure clearly; it was Old l, in charge of livestock within the Territory.
Cao Xing watched his busy form, then asked: "Mr. l, what are you busy with?"
At this mont, Old l, carrying two bags of fodder, heard Cao Xing’s voice, quickly stopped his steps, and replied: "Lord, I’m preparing for the Fog Disaster tonight."
"Once this Fog Disaster hits, you can’t make any noise at night, including cows, sheep, and chickens can’t make noise."
"Otherwise, they might attract the Monsters within the fog."
"So, I mixed so Silence Grass into the feed to keep these animals quiet for a while."
Cao Xing nodded in realization.
As a Native of this world, Old l grew up experiencing past Fog Disasters and thus had survival experience.
And this made Cao Xing eager to learn more about Fog Disasters from him.
"Mr. l, do you know how long this Fog Disaster typically lasts?"
Upon hearing this, the old man pondered for a mont, then shook his head.
"I’ve lived for decades and have encountered such Fog Disasters a few tis, but this is the first ti encountering sothing this severe."
"Before, they lasted about three to four days at the shortest, and up to a week at the longest."
"This ti, I really don’t know how long it will last."
Cao Xing sighed inwardly, sensing that this Fog Disaster was indeed extraordinary.
Based on Old l’s estimation, the duration could easily exceed a week.
"Do you know what the Monsters within the fog are?" Cao Xing continued to ask.
After pondering for a mont, Old l shook his head again, saying, "No one knows what these Monsters are, but they’re very strange and beco active in the fog at night."
"They even crash against doors and make eerie sounds to lure you into opening them."
"If you hear knocking at midnight, do not open the door, nor make a sound, or the consequences will be unthinkable!"
Old l’s tone carried deeply hidden Fear.
This also puzzled Cao Xing, so he asked: "Are these creatures in the fog Snow Demons?"
This world is rife with bizarre creatures.
Like the Snow Demons they encountered before, known to knock and enter at night, they matched Old l’s description quite well.
"They’re not Snow Demons, nor do we know what type of Monster they are."
"But the creatures in the fog are very strange and formidable."
"Anyone who’s seen these creatures has mostly ended up dead!"
"Lord, please make sure to warn the other mbers not to make noise or leave their rooms at night," Old l solemnly advised.
Cao Xing nodded slightly, then said: "Alright, I understand."
"Mr. l, continue with your work."
"Yes, Lord."
Having said that, Old l quickly moved towards the Cowshed, carrying the two bags of fodder.
Afterward, Cao Xing had nothing much to do, wandered around the Territory twice, and then returned to the Lord Castle.
Ti quickly approached evening.
Throughout the day, the Survivors mostly stayed indoors and didn’t venture out.
Except for a few with the Iron head, thinking it’s just a fog and wouldn’t affect much.
