The tsunami surged, thunder roared fiercely; even though it was 3 PM, the entire Sea Rock Island felt as if it were plunged into Extre Night.
The storm above still howled as Lin Xian and KIKI hid behind the reef, watching the seabed drained by the tsunami and the giant creature disappearing into the whirlpool in the sea. The next mont, the hundred-ter-high tsunami ca crashing in.
"Hold tight!"
The anti-impact devices on Lin Xian and KIKI’s power armor activated, the clamps tightened onto the reef, and then, as if the ocean itself was pouring in, the entire beach, along with the mountain range behind, was completely subrged.
Splash! Glug-glug~
The violent waves completely devoured them, yet Lin Xian did not rush directly into the sky; instead, he dodged the impact of the incoming tsunami underwater before flying out from beneath the waves, both sticking close to the surging tide and returning to the shore.
"That monster is gone!"
"Did it go into the sea or is it in the sky?"
Lin Xian’s expression was tense; he couldn’t determine the location of the Giant Ocean God. The thunderclouds covered the sky, seemingly blocking out all light, and the sea was surging. Even though they were on the island, they felt utterly unsafe.
"It should...be in the sea..." KIKI flew behind Lin Xian, looking back at the gigantic whirlpool in the distant deep sea, and said, "Luckily, we weren’t marked."
"This monster is unimaginably difficult to deal with; the Emperor cha seems like an ant before it," Lin Xian gritted his teeth and said, "But I tried just now; it can be severed. If the biological force field issue can be solved, maybe using high-yield nuclear weapons is worth a try."
"You speak as if we have nuclear weapons," KIKI said with a face of fear, "So strange, it ca straight at us, as though it had a target that could see us."
Hearing this, Lin Xian’s expression sank slightly, a bad thought crossing his mind, and he said,
"Maybe it’s coming for us..."
"Then why did it run away?"
"Who knows."
Still not entirely out of danger, Lin Xian looked at the roaring tsunami currents below with urgency and said, "First find Shi Zhi, then et up with Teacher Chen."
"Okay."
The two flew along the ridge towards the interior of the island, heading in the previously set escape direction to find her.
By now, the storm was noticeably weakening; at this mont, Shi Zhi’s power armor signal suddenly appeared in Lin Xian’s communication frequency, prompting him to imdiately shout,
"Shi Zhi, where are you?"
"ZZ...ZZ... Uh, Lin..."
The signal was intermittent; Lin Xian watched the blinking positioning dot on the screen, and sensing sothing amiss as it moved toward the city area.
"She’s in trouble, let’s hurry!"
The propellers accelerated, and Lin Xian and KIKI shot forward like low-flying fire teors, crossing over the mudflow left by the tsunami, flying through the jungle into the urban area. Suddenly, strange roaring noises sounded from the dark alleys below.
Lin Xian ignored them, his eyes fixed intently on the screen’s coordinates, accelerating continuously; very quickly, they approached the moving Shi Zhi. At this mont, a shock explosion erged ahead, and Lin Xian looked up to see Shi Zhi speeding through several abandoned high-rise buildings, pursued by several uncanny humans covered in white patches with remnants of clothing!
These uncanny humans appeared severely mutated, with limbs exceeding limits and faces lting. As Lin Xian’s power armor locked on during the interval, he discovered that the skin of these uncanny humans was rapidly stretching and changing, suggesting that the mutation process was ongoing.
"Be careful!!"
Realizing Lin Xian’s presence, Shi Zhi urgently shouted towards him and KIKI, "These uncanny humans have very high peak superpower levels, very dangerous!"
"Save her!"
Lin Xian and KIKI rapidly closed in, imdiately taking action. KIKI raised a hand to unleash telekinetic power, aiming to grab all three uncanny humans directly. However, this attempt made both Lin Xian and KIKI intuitively understand Shi Zhi’s warning; one uncanny human sensed the threat of KIKI’s telekinesis, suddenly leaping nimbly into the air, twisting its body as its arm shot out. In an instant, its fingers transford into dozens of green slender tendrils splitting and winding out, carrying green electric arcs swiftly towards KIKI and Lin Xian!
KIKI’s pupils contracted, quickly reaching out to grab, solidifying the density of her telekinesis, forcefully freezing those slender tendrils in front of her. anwhile, a dense burst of green electric arcs suddenly erupted above those tendrils, a powerful superpower fluctuation uncontrollably soaring.
KIKI furrowed her brow, imdiately twisting in the void, directly twisting and pushing away the tendrils. The next mont, a green biological arc exploded in midair, piercing the atmosphere, carrying an annihilating force, which before amplifying was completely encased by KIKI’s telekinesis, bundled into a ball, and hurled back towards the monster.
Boom!
The white uncanny human was slamd by this telekinetic ball into a tall building, a burst of green lightning exploded, directly smashing half its torso; the massive shock wave caused the building’s outer wall to collapse with a clatter.
Lin Xian rushed towards Shi Zhi to intercept the other two uncanny humans. One beast-like uncanny human suddenly stomped and burst through a wall, its enormous force leaving a cratered area where the wall collapsed. Then, that uncanny human sped towards Lin Xian like a cannonball at an incredible speed; simultaneously, on Shi Zhi’s side, a fast-moving uncanny human flew through the air, closing in on her, sprouting four eyes on its face that glowed red, targeting Shi Zhi’s power armor and firing four beams.
