Ding Junyi looked at Lin Xian seriously and said, "Since you’ve been considering various phenona that have occurred after Apocalypse Day in the direction of advanced civilizations, I’ve boldly pushed my research in that direction as well. Currently, apart from survival, humanity faces one direct but unsolved question: what is the true purpose of these Abnormal Bodies attacking humans, and Star Abyss devouring Blue Star?"

An undersea earthquake trembled once more, making the tunnel hum and the train carriage vibrate. Lin Xian steadied himself by grabbing Ding Junyi’s hand. A minute later, the earthquake ceased; the magnitude was greater than before, and only half an hour had passed between the two quakes.
"This undersea volcano seems like it could erupt at any mont." As the quake subsided, Lin Xian released Ding Junyi’s hand and said gravely.
Ding Junyi glanced around the carriage, remaining calm: "For us superpower users and those with heavy equipnt like the Infinity, natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis shouldn’t pose too great a threat. What you’re worried about is the hunting of the Abnormal Bodies, right?"
Lin Xian nodded: "That’s exactly why I ca to see you..."
After speaking, he imdiately recounted his discovery of the energy leakage point and his plan to Ding Junyi. Despite the Abnormal Bodies, Lin Xian still wanted to hear Ding Junyi’s thoughts as a biologist. But your idea of increasing the release to lure the Giant Ocean God away from its target, Galan Volcano, and then hunting those Abnormal Bodies early, sounds..."
"I know." Lin Xian sighed heavily, his expression grave: "It’s just a hypothesis. Regardless, the energy leak issue must be dealt with; I don’t hold much hope, but we can monitor and observe—maybe we can discover sothing."
Lin Xian rubbed his trigeminal nerve. With his eyes closed, he could still see that damn countdown. This notion was a desperate gamble, with his primary objective being survival.
Ding Junyi looked at Lin Xian with a hint of admiration. She appreciated Lin Xian’s determination to never give up and always having a contingency plan, which gave her a sense of security in such a post-apocalyptic world. This was why she remained calm in the carriage, conducting her research despite the storms outside.
"I’m more concerned with three issues."
Ding Junyi said calmly: "First, what about the geothermal core energy attracts the Abnormal Bodies to such an extent that it draws in so many large Abnormal Bodies? Second, why does the Giant Ocean God engage in hunting behavior? Third..."
She looked at Lin Xian: "How can you be so sure that the Giant Ocean God will leave after its hunt is completed?"
Lin Xian’s expression hardened upon hearing this, as Ding Junyi hit the nail on the head. Indeed, faced with the encroachnt they were experiencing, he was running out of solutions. The world-class creature’s oppressive force felt like a boulder pressing against his chest. Among these were the bizarre countdown and the various enigmatic things he still couldn’t fathom.
"I’m not sure." Lin Xian sighed: "These are all derived from the Foundation’s previous observational records. But truly, no one knows. In this scenario, we don’t even know what hunting truly is. Right now, we’re like being trapped in a den of snakes, and all we can do is try not to get marked with the Dark Mark, try not to get noticed."
