Lin Xian fanned the dust around, and now surveying the interior, he realized it should be a high-ranking officer’s room on the warship, quite spacious with an independent bathroom and a work area.
Perhaps the battle hadn’t occurred here, as there were no traces of fighting or corpses in the room; it was relatively clean. Unless sothing unexpected happened, he would have to stay here tonight. Lin Xian went to the bathtub and turned on the faucet, but the pipes emitted a hissing empty sound without a drop of water coming out.

At this mont, Lin Xian looked at the empty room and tried calling Grace.

"Strange," Lin Xian muttered to himself: "I can clearly sense the presence of the Flashing Bullet between my brows; has South Heavenly Gate also encountered an issue?"
At this ti, Lin Xian had no Disaster Plants or supplies around him; the only thing available was a Black Gear, yet he could sense the Flashing Bullet but couldn’t contact Grace. Lin Xian imdiately thought of several possibilities.
The first was that the scarlet was blocking his connection to the Taboo Item, but since he could sense it, this possibility seed unlikely.
The second was that there was an issue on Grace’s side...
"Since I can sense it, perhaps it can also flash..."

Watching this occurrence, Lin Xian’s heart sank further; it was as if humanity was being forced into a corner. He sighed inwardly, in these three months, humans might not yet be completely extinct, but under the scarlet, they likely suffered trendous losses...
Not giving up, the drones continued their search. At this mont, several drones reached the lower deck’s storage area, their lights sweeping across a sealed cargo hold without signs of being opened.
But before Lin Xian’s drones had any action, one drone’s screen suddenly appeared with nurous glowing tendrils, then in the blink of an eye, the drone’s surveillance went dark, and the signal completely cut off.
Lin Xian’s brows furrowed imdiately; he realized an Abnormal Body might exist in the cargo hold area, quickly deploying several nearby drones to investigate again.
This ti, it was even quicker; his drone hadn’t begun scanning when the screen was imdiately captured by sprung tendrils and crashed.
This ti though, Lin Xian seized so clues, backtracking through the received footage fra by fra, discovering the tendrils shooting out from the darkness, under weak light, vaguely seeing sothing twisting resembling a crawling Monster.
"The drones are inanimate, yet are being attacked? It seems the creatures in the scarlet aren’t just relying on the Dark Mark; they can see and hear any existence, possibly having sensing systems beyond humans..."
Lin Xian frowned; he definitely had to explore the cargo hold area. He had lain in the Hibernation Pod for too long, and combined with recent massive blood loss, he was extrely dehydrated. If he couldn’t find food and water, despite his ability to craft starships with his hands, he couldn’t last more than a day or two. Additionally, seeing a Monster appear outside the cargo hold area indicated there might be sothing intriguing for the Monster inside. Hence, Lin Xian thought briefly, decisively summoning a "Dragon Girl" to confront the creature within the scarlet.
The Black Star Forge opened, a sleek female-like cha clangs onto the ground then quickly stood, its blade feet planted firmly, its elegant chanical body exuding a cold, overwhelming murderous intent.
Lin Xian observed his creation, sparks flashing in his eyes.
"Proceed."

"Dragon Girl" shook its arms, elbow-mounted VK Electric Knife shot out instantly, the arc emitting a low hum, then Lin Xian manipulated to open the hatch and dispatched it.
The silver-gray silhouette transford into a cold light within the tilted passageway, sparks bursting from the blade tip with each step, its slender and lethal tal limbs darting across walls, an obstructed pathway blocked by collapsed tal structures t her, without hesitation she raised her left arm, wrist steel cable shot out with a "shoo", the sharp anchor embedded deeply into the beam above, the wire instantly tensed, and the cha used the montum to draw a sharp arc through the air, bypassing the obstacle, then descended swiftly through the broken deck mouth to the lower deck level, at the mont of descent, the propulsion units on its soles and back emitted brief blue flas, cushioning the landing, a cloud of rusty dust erupted.
"Slow down ahead, all-frequency scan." Lin Xian’s orders echoed within the data link.
"Dragon Girl" eyes’ scanning raster swept layer by layer over the outline of the front dark storage room, the hydraulic-driven limb lightened its movents, the VK Electric Blade’s humming reduced to the lowest level.
Just before ’she’ stepped into the storage room area preceding the cargo hold, the built-in Dark Energy sensor responded, and Lin Xian imdiately saw abnormalities on Dragon Girl’s scanning radar.
Sothing stayed lurking in the pile of shadows cast by the containers, silently watching ’her’, and at this mont, the remotely controlling Lin Xian felt so tension.
On one hand, he didn’t know what Dragon Girl was about to face, and on the other, he wasn’t sure if the disturbance would trigger more trouble.
"Careful, there’s a living being within the area, switch to combat mode."
Lin Xian’s gaze locked onto Dragon Girl’s radar imaging, watching that hazy biological dark energy fluctuation move cunningly, playing hide and seek with the cha’s scanning wave.
Seeing this scene, Lin Xian slightly frowned, Abnormal Bodies normally wouldn’t behave this way, they would directly attack upon encountering prey, yet this entity not only could directly perceive Dragon Girl’s existence as a non-living cha but also seed to be ’observing’ her, ready to act at any opportunity?
"You can see? Alright, deploy an illumination flare!" Lin Xian’s command was issued without any foreshadowing.
Hiss——!
A blazing white light sphere shot from Dragon Girl’s shoulder-mounted launcher, ripping through the thick shadow instantly! The glaring white brilliance poured down in a torrent, leaving corner shadows nowhere to hide, exposing an eerie multi-legged spider like flayed flesh, its head featuring Black Hole-like eye units sunk in, from which countless ends flickered with ghostly green phosphorescent tendrils wildly danced in the light.
