Crack, crack, crack~
The sound of ice forming seed to echo from all directions. At this mont, Lin Xian’s heart was full of worry. With this snowstorm sweeping through, he was very concerned that before dawn, the entire Infinity would already be completely buried in snow. If that happened, no matter what he did, he wouldn’t be able to break through.
Thinking of this, a sense of powerlessness rose within him. Darkness, the Abnormal Body, natural disaster; this apocalypse made people feel endless despair all the ti.
"Damn it! Damn it!"
Lin Xian gritted his teeth and cursed silently, his heart now extrely anxious.
The train compartnts were incredibly quiet; everyone was waiting for changes outside.
Ti was passing second by second. Lin Xian glanced at his watch; it was already 7 PM.
The weather outside remained the sa: darkness and a snowstorm.
"It’s already dark..."
"It’s been dark for a long ti."
Lin Xian stood up heavily, let out a long breath, his expression tense, sensing everything outside the train.
At this ti, the entire Infinity was already covered with a layer of snow. On the steel armor on the sides of the train, a layer of ice crust had ford under the force of the wind and snow.
Between heaven and earth, only the howling of the snowstorm remained, apart from which there was nothing else.
"All compartnts." Lin Xian decisively pressed his headset.
"Captain Lin, no problems."
Shu Qin quickly walked forward from compartnt 12, reporting as she went.
"No issues in compartnt 11," Sha Sha said.
"Compartnt 10 is fine," Miao Lu reported.
"No issues in compartnt 9," Lv Chang reported.
"Compartnt 8 is also fine," Xiao Yuan reported.
"No problems from compartnt 6 to 5," Da Lou and Lu Xingchen quickly walked through the corridor.
"Compartnt 3 and 4 are fine; the Disaster Plant has no other reactions," Ding Junyi said, looking at the faint energy glow. All the way, countless Snow Demons had been killed; it seed that the Hell Black Chrysanthemum was full.
"No problems in compartnts 2 and 1," Chen Sixuan and KIKI responded.
Lin Xian, standing in compartnt 7, heaved a sigh of relief.
"Everyone put on their Cold Proof Clothing, don’t take them off yet. We’ll observe for a while and if everything’s alright, we’ll start rotational rest."
"Understood."
Only then did everyone’s tightened nerves relax a little bit. Chen Sixuan began distributing food. They originally planned to prepare so hot als, but Lin Xian was concerned it would be too complicated, and given that the heating inside the train was already at its limit, they decided to keep it simple.
First, let everyone solve the problem of hunger and warmth.
In compartnt 2, KIKI kept searching all radio frequencies, finding they were completely cut off.
"It seems the Extre Cold Vortex has completely covered this area; we can’t even receive signals from Xilan City and the Phoenix Society’s global radio stations, nor can we from any nearby survivor radio stations."
Chen Sixuan looked up at the roof. She knew that above the sky, the gigantic Extre Cold Vortex was rapidly pushing the world back to an Ice Age. The blizzard, harboring dark invasion forces, had already completely blocked even the dark radio frequencies.
At this ti, the Infinity had already beco a lone vessel in this vast snowfield blizzard.
"At today’s speed, we will need at least another 10 hours to reach Xilan," Chen Sixuan said.
But Lin Xian shook his head: "Too optimistic; tomorrow the snow will be at least twice as thick as today. Reaching a speed of 50 miles per hour would already be a miracle, unless this snowstorm stops for a bit."
"Ah..."
KIKI looked worried, rubbing her hands. "If the snow continues to get thicker, we’ll be buried."
"By then, we might have to modify so snowmobiles or have you take everyone flying to Xilan," Lin Xian said half-jokingly.
If it truly ca to that, giving up the Infinity seed like the only option.
At these words, KIKI’s face turned extrely unpleasant, full of worry. "Wow, what will we do with our train? I thought the track issues were the most troubleso, who knew it’d be this snowstorm."
"Lin Xian," Chen Sixuan looked at him solemnly, "Is there no other way?"
Lin Xian took a deep breath, thought for a mont, then said seriously, "We can only see how this snowstorm evolves. If the wind and snow lessen past midnight, it’s manageable, but if they intensify..."
At this, his eyes turned fierce, "Then we’ll have no choice but to risk everything and plow through!"
The night is an impasse, but being buried by snow is a deathbed. In comparison, betting on a barely possible escape is better; at least pushing forward is better than just abandoning the train and walking or flying with KIKI to Xilan.
Of course, the snow depth hasn’t yet reached that point.
Chen Sixuan nodded at his words: "I understand what you an; I’ll take the night watch."
Lin Xian shook his head: "No need; sa as always, I’ll handle the night."
The spiritual power of a Superpower User was stronger than that of ordinary people, and Lin Xian knew the Hell Black Chrysanthemum would continue to release energy tonight, allowing Chen Sixuan and the others to rest well, quickly boosting their body’s evolution trend and increasing their future survival rates.
Chen Sixuan, hearing this, looked at him with so concern, then nodded.
The snow and wind gnawed at the external armor of the Infinity, and the wild winds made a series of ’ghostly wails.’
In the living compartnts, the team mbers huddled in their tightly protected little nests, while those on rotational rest took off their Cold Proof Clothing, wrapping themselves in thick blankets.
The compartnt’s heating system continued working, but as the snowstorm outside intensified, the temperature inside could only be maintained at 12-13 degrees. Except for the higher temperature near the radiator, elsewhere the warmth was being rapidly swallowed by the outside chill through the tal train cars.
