"Hey, Chen Wei, how are you?!"

The voice of Yu Yuheng ca through the communicator.

"Still alive." Chen Wei said calmly with his eyes closed, "How about you guys?"

"Xiao Yang is dead." Yu Yuheng sighed, "He’s on that vehicle."

Upon hearing this, Chen Wei’s eyes snapped open. He took a deep breath, his eyes full of anger and helplessness...

On the Polar Car, there was a creaking sound.

Lin Xian activated his chanical Heart to repair the car windows and doors, blocking out the cold wind from outside. The heater inside the car gradually started to work, making the air slightly warr.

KIKI glanced at Xiao Qing next to her and said, "Hey, let drive. You look like you really want to take action."

Xiao Qing turned to look at her, then glanced at Lin Xian, and softly said,

"You guys... rest."

Her voice carried a mature tone, careful and gentle. Lin Xian and KIKI were both a bit exhausted. At that mont, a large number of Snow Demons were charging at the front. Ning Jing and Shi Deyuan, who were on the Dragon Mountain No.1 train nearby, had climbed back onto the roof to handle the Monster Tide. Xiao Qing also wanted to help, but Ning Jing had tasked her with driving, so she had remained silent. Now, upon hearing KIKI’s words, she felt re-energized and handed the steering wheel to KIKI. Grabbing her knife, she leapt out to join the battle.

KIKI sat cross-legged in the driver’s seat, using telekinesis with two fingers to control the steering wheel and gas pedal of the Polar Car, while also raising a telekinesis shield to fend off the Snow Demons that suddenly leaped from the snowfield ahead.

"When Hu Lushou ntioned the Emperor Plan before, I thought we could get hold of a super-large cha~"

KIKI comnted wistfully, "But it just got us into a bunch of trouble, without any benefits."

"If we had enough ti, that cha might... still be salvageable, but we still couldn’t take it with us," Lin Xian said.

"Are you talking about the Phoenix Society?"

"No, such a large cha is only used for combat purposes. At other tis, it’s transported by the Hercules Transporter. Even a Fire God cha can’t fit inside one of those, let alone this one..."

"Oh, true enough, but it’s still very cool." KIKI glanced in the rearview mirror, "Bro, don’t you find such a cool cha tempting?"

Lin Xian’s eyes lit up at the thought of the High-frequency Blade Chain Sword from the No.1 Machine, which had once slain an Abyss Worm, making his heart race with excitent.

This kind of Emperor cha seed like it was made for his chanical Heart, representing one of the potential developnt paths of his chanical Heart.

Exhausted, Lin Xian leaned against the window of the Polar Car, watching the convoy roll across the endless snowfield. The Snow Demon Monster was rampaging, gunfire was blazing, and the resistance convoy of hundreds was fighting with all their might. This seed to be his first ti escaping from a Monster Tide by car...

"Still, the train feels safer..."

He murmured to himself, knowing that over a hundred vehicles, with each overturned vehicle resulting in several deaths, ant the pressure on the leader of the large convoy must be far greater than what he felt.

Lin Xian sowhat understood Shu Qin, fleeing and surviving by the skin of their teeth.

Exhausted, so exhausted.

Amidst the ongoing slaughter outside, with the sound of gunfire and flas roaring, Lin Xian felt his energy depleted as he leaned drowsily against the window and fell asleep.

In his dreams, he returned to Jiang City, back to his apartnt safe haven.

Beep beep beep, the dusk alarm sounded. As usual, he pulled up the alloy iron gate he created with his chanical superpower, splashed deodorant in the hallway and doorway, turned off the lights, and nestled in his pitch-black room, listening to the eerie movents from the floors above and below, feeling the whispers and roars from the streets outside.

Zombies wandered past the charred car fras left by the Big Fire, their rotting airways emitting choking hisses.

Lin Xian sat on the floor in the corner of his bedroom, his short knife beside him, waiting for nightfall, waiting for dawn.

Whoosh~

A gust of wind ca from the living room. His windows were tightly shut, making it impossible for there to be wind. Scanning the darkness, Lin Xian realized there seed to be a shadow standing in front of the living room’s floor-to-ceiling window.

Instantly, he grabbed his short knife and rushed out of the bedroom, finding no one outside.

But the balcony’s floor-to-ceiling window was fully open, and the night wind howled, making the curtains billow softly.

Lin Xian cautiously stepped out onto the balcony and looked up, suddenly feeling as if a gigantic object in the sky was blocking his view. His eyes quickly focused, seeing a colossal floating corpse overlooking the entire Jiang City. Its continental-sized body moved slowly above in the sky, completely obscuring the moonlight. The entire city seed to be reduced to re shadowy outlines.

"Creature No.2 is on the move! On the move! Heading east, heading east!"

A sudden, urgent voice rang out, as if soone nearby was reporting through a communicator.

Lin Xian imdiately turned his head to search but found no one.

"Who are you!?"

Suddenly, the voice sternly questioned, seemingly directed at him.

Lin Xian was instantly terrified. Who was in his ho?

He abruptly turned his head to find a shadow standing in the corner, seemingly staring at him.

"Lin Xian! Lin Xian!"

His whole body was wrapped in a warm force, and he felt a bit of energy returning. Opening his eyes, he felt a biting coldness wash over him.

[Vital signs detected: Body temperature too low, body temperature too low!]

The alarm of the power armor rang out, growing near.

Hiss!

Lin Xian imdiately woke up and glanced at his watch. It was 17:40; he had slept for ten minutes.

Was that a dream just now? This was the second ti he’d seen that floating giant corpse, and the shock was still reverberating in his mind, his face blank with bewildernt.

Bang bang bang, da da da!
