Ding Junyi glanced at Lin Xian, the corners of her mouth slightly upturned, then earnestly said,
"Back to work, I have important information to share with you."
Lin Xian breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright, go ahead."
Ding Junyi walked over to the Hell Black Chrysanthemum and said, "When we were investigating the Dark Mark, I attempted to use my superpower for affinity perception on the Hell Black Chrysanthemum, and I ended up seeing so unusual things."
"See?" Lin Xian pointed at the Hell Black Chrysanthemum that was flickering with red light while absorbing dark energy for conversion. "Visually?"
Ding Junyi nodded. "Yes, I’m certain that through this Disaster Plant, I saw the perspective of a dark creature in Xilan City, perhaps that giant sea urchin, or maybe it’s offering and guiding an even higher-level creature."
Upon hearing this, Lin Xian’s face turned solemn, and he gestured for her to continue.
Ding Junyi’s sharp eyebrows knitted slightly. "To be precise, using the word ’see’ is not rigorous enough. Dark creatures, to humans, belong to a different form of biological existence. Their sensory perception and survival modes are completely different from ours. They presumably have a unique visual/olfactory/sensory network. The WIMP-type weakly interacting massive particles we discovered this ti can form dark matter bonds with human cell mbranes directly, turning marked individuals into ’Dark Universe Lighthouses.’ In other words, this dark matter is their ’light.’"
Lin Xian pondered, "And they cannot see our light?"
"Exactly." Ding Junyi: "We can’t use conventional logic to understand the existence of these creatures. For instance, cold dark basic particles might be their oxygen or a higher form of energy. I only perceived the existence of a colossal creature through the perspective of the Disaster Plant, combined with the behavior pattern of that sea urchin, so we judge it to likely play a Scout role."
"Of course, all of this is just my speculation, which doesn’t hold much significance for our current research. I have sothing else to tell you."
As Ding Junyi spoke, she raised her hands and, right in front of Lin Xian, gently lifted the energy fluid minutely flowing in the air and—directly absorbed it into her body!

"Oh, by the way!" Lin Xian exclaid as he realized: "Did you discover what this thing does?"
"No, but if I could use the sa thod as with the Hell Black Chrysanthemum, I might be able to find the answer."
"Don’t!"
Out of caution, Lin Xian imdiately refused, "I think for now, it’s best not to proceed that way. Last ti you passed out, and the current impact of the Hell Black Chrysanthemum on you has yet to be understood. Hastily testing another plant might backfire."
Lin Xian’s concern wasn’t unfounded. Who knows if the Silver Dragon Ten Thousand Mistakes might involve so terrifying existence in the shadows? Their current primary task was to quickly escape the Extre Night. For now, such risky actions should be avoided, as the thing wasn’t going anywhere. With Ding Junyi as a biologist and a plant system superpower user, they would uncover the mystery sooner or later.
"You’re right." Ding Junyi nodded. "We shouldn’t be too hasty."
Lin Xian glanced at the dark train corridor and said to Ding Junyi, "The Hell Black Chrysanthemum has absorbed a lot of energy this ti, and we’ve battled for a day and two nights, so we might need to stock up on more vegetable juice, and I’ll trouble you with that."
"Yes, rest assured. The Dark Mark research is complete, and my main focus now will be on cold dark basic particles and plant cultivation."
