"Our...connection with the fortress has been severed," Shi Zhi whispered as she ran.
"It’ll be back soon!"

Lin Xian steadied his breathing. With the protection of the Black Hawk Power Armor, his mobility and defense against these monsters were significantly enhanced. Apart from the pressure from the dark invasion, he was now only concerned about the Mark Detection Device.

A door burst open on the dark, deserted street, and several people in Power Armor accompanied by nurous flying drones charged into the street. At this point, they had already passed through three streets via various underground passageways, leaving less than a kiloter before reaching the White City Rail Station.

Grace’s calm voice sounded; she transmitted routing information and continued to lead Lin Xian and the others across streets and alleys. Soon, they arrived at the White City Rail Station.
Lin Xian stood on the clock tower and looked down. After the battle between Hu Lushou’s convoy, the abandoned vehicles were still scattered across the plaza in front of the rail station.
Chen Sixuan set up her gun and scouted briefly, then said, "Lin Xian, there’s definitely sothing in there. I can hear noises."

Lin Xian raised his hand to create a signal relay and placed it above the clock tower. After enhancing the signal transmission, he finally connected to the Silent City signal base deployed throughout the area.
"Lin, I see you’ve reached the rail station; looks like it’s going smoothly."
"Not too bad, haven’t co across any major trouble," Lin Xian replied.
In the main control room at the bottom of the White City nuclear bunker, Mochizuki Masashi, dressed in a plain robe, watched the positioning points of three teams on the holographic screen and commanded each team simultaneously using different voices.
"Miss Ning Jing, in the morgue on the negative first floor of White City Hospital, there’s likely an Abnormal Body. Xun and they encountered one last ti but didn’t completely clear it. Watch out there."
"Xun, place detonators at points A and B of the north side of the central plaza and the Civil Affairs Building on the east side; EMP drone missiles should be placed at the comrcial center and on that television tower..."
Over on Lin Xian’s side, he manufactured an infrared sentinel sensor and placed it on top of the clock tower, then said to Chen Sixuan,
"Teacher Chen, you guard here; if there’s trouble, co towards ."
Chen Sixuan nodded, walked to the sloped rooftop of the clock tower, slid down, and crouched at the corner of the tall building, overlooking the entire White City Rail Station.
"KIKI, Brother Huo, you go up, we’ll go down!"
"Alright!"
With that, KIKI and Lu Xingchen leaped out, while Lin Xian, led by Grace, jumped down from the clock tower with Shi Zhi, preparing to pass through the main plaza and head straight to the rail segnt at the back.
As Lin Xian sprinted, he swiftly devoured an off-road vehicle. KIKI and Brother Huo landed at the back of the rail station within monts, and before touching down, their Mark Detection Device suddenly started beeping.
Her expression imdiately changed as she and Lu Xingchen searched intently.
"Bad news, Sister Chen..."
"I can’t see it, but the sounds are coming from inside the passenger station!" Chen Sixuan’s voice reached them.
By this ti, Lin Xian and Shi Zhi had already entered the passenger station hall, yet no dark marks appeared on them.
"Split up and search!" Lin Xian commanded directly.
As soon as Lin Xian finished speaking, Chen Sixuan, hidden on the clock tower, imdiately noticed that many eerie noises erged from the surrounding streets. She adjusted her viewpoint, and on the night-vision radar’s holographic screen, she could clearly see so indescribable creature slowly crawling towards the rail station in the nearby Dark Alley, happening precisely at the mont KIKI and Lu Xingchen were marked.
"An Abnormal Body is approaching you, you must resolve it imdiately!"
KIKI and Lu Xingchen heeded the warning, feeling as if facing formidable enemies. One stood on the outdoor rail, and the other on the steel rooftop of the platform, while their Power Armor Systems continually searched but found nothing.
The broken rail seed to lead into Hell, with visibility extrely limited.
anwhile, Lin Xian and Shi Zhi erged from the passenger station and onto the rail.
Shi Zhi pointed imdiately to the outer wall of the rail station, towards the direction of an old residential building: "There, it’s a scout!"
The term "scout" was explained to Lin Xian by Qian Suxun after he inquired about an Abnormal Body that erged from a tunnel and vanished. According to the Silent City Squad’s intelligence, this was a type of creature akin to an Abnormal Body scout, capable of emitting dark marks but not actively attacking. Upon hearing this, Lin Xian imdiately recalled the S-Class Cloud Black Thorn in Xilan City, surprised to find such existences among ordinary Abnormal Bodies.
Mochizuki Masashi referred to this type of Abnormal Body as "scouts" and deed their level as not insignificant. They lurk in shadows, marking humans, thereby attracting surrounding Abnormal Bodies for a feeding frenzy.
Upon hearing Shi Zhi’s words, KIKI and Brother Huo swiftly flew towards the direction of the residential building.
"Despicable knave, watch burn you to ashes!"
"Hurry, there’s no ti!" KIKI urged sternly, daring not to hesitate.
Just as they flew past the wall, they indeed spotted a white eerie figure shrinking quickly towards the back of the residential building. Yet when they chased it, they lost sight of their target.
At this mont, Lin Xian and Shi Zhi caught up.
"I’ve sensed its presence!" Shi Zhi’s face showed nervousness as she used her superpower to purify everyone briefly, then said.
