Speaking of which, having just experienced a series of encounters such as space transfer, ti dilation, flashing bullets, and dinsional bubbles in Star Abyss, Lin Xian now felt it all made sense. Even the Deep Red World had gained civilization-level scientific research advancents from Star Abyss, so perhaps the organization Chu Yan belonged to, including the Phoenix Society, must have mastered quite a bit as well.
Chu Yan took a deep breath, didn’t continue questioning, but looked at Lin Xian with so caution, and then said,
"According to the regulations, perhaps we should take you back for a thorough investigation, but I don’t seem to want to do so right now."
"Are you afraid your organization will capture for research?"
Chu Yan shook her head, "Maybe, but I’m also curious how you managed to break out from Star Abyss, including your past feats. Logically, the Phoenix Society should have approached you long ago, but..."
She lowered her eyebrows, "All right, let’s maintain this communication, hoping you are trustworthy."
Lin Xian smiled faintly, "Rest assured, I belong to the Human Camp."
Chu Yan gave him an inscrutable look and then opened the communicator, "The operation begins."
Imdiately, she started swiftly, racing through the city shadows, and after a dozen minutes, she arrived at a location in the outskirts, a military base surrounded by high walls and pulse grids, with glaring searchlights at the mont.
Lin Xian’s consciousness following Chu Yan also appeared atop the high walls of the watchtower, and when he looked inside the base, his gaze suddenly froze!
He saw a series of large white searchlights like shadowless lamps on an operating table lighting up the center of the base, where lay a corpse of an Abnormal Body!
A giant torso at least over 500 ters long stretched across the base’s square. Besides its overall torso remaining sowhat intact, most of its tissues had been blasted to pieces. The head, chest, and abdon were full of traumas from countless human hotkey weapon bombardnts, and the dense explosion craters were shockingly impressive. The Monster’s pair of black claws under the knees were covered in charred blood and flesh. Even amidst its torso tissues were missile wreckage and flying device fragnts, a single glance enough to inform anyone that the Human Camp must have paid a huge price to destroy this Monster!
This Abnormal Giant Body’s terrifying size definitely possessed S-Class strength, with a torso resembling a mummy, shoulder blades jagged and sharp like mountains. Its head lacked eyes, only a gaping maw, and the chest caved in several large holes, the muscle fibers at the edges curled like withered vines, exposing black cavities inside, as if sothing had been forcibly excavated from within!
At the mont, the square saw ard transport aircraft and various cranes placing the remnant limb fragnts of this Giant Body, while the entire military center reeked of a pervasive stench of blood. Countless staff below donned anti-toxic masks, working busily under the darkness.
Witnessing this scene, Lin Xian’s eyes revealed a look of shock, while Chu Yan saw his expression and spoke softly,
"This is the 14th S-Class creature that attacked Dawn City last night, nad Gray Fog Giant Body. Over thirty thousand people in the entire city were dead or injured before finally taking this guy down. This is the second S-Class humans have destroyed since the Xilan City battle."
"Even a city as powerfully ard as Dawn City lost over thirty thousand people?" Lin Xian exclaid in surprise upon hearing this.
Xilan City and Dawn City are entirely different concepts, the forr being a small, abandoned industrial city on the western border. The entire city has less than 80,000 people, with significantly less firepower compared to Dawn City.
Hearing this, Chu Yan spoke solemnly, "Firstly, Dawn City has too many people; the Outer City District outside Dawn One Wall has gathered no less than a hundred million people, with the Old District exceeding three million, not to ntion the Inner City and Underground City. Secondly, you underestimate the S-Class’s Destructive Power. According to the battle report, the whole body possesses a Defense Force Field of the Dark Dinsion, rendering energy almost ineffective, and even ultra-high-temperature Plasma Guns can’t penetrate it..."
"How was it resolved then?"
Chu Yan’s gaze swept over, "We exhausted it. There’s currently no thod to break that Scarlet Defense Force Field; it’s fortunate that this defense isn’t unlimited, nor is it biophysical in the surface. But even without that Force Field, this guy’s skin and tissue defensive power an low-power kinetic energy weapons simply can’t penetrate; only materials on the level of tungsten-titanium armor-piercing shells can do significant damage."
Lin Xian’s expression tensed upon hearing these words. Just as he was about to ask sothing, a large transport aircraft carried a colossal claw bone whizzing past overhead, and on that transport ship was the dazzling prism emblem!
He imdiately frowned, "Deep Red World? What are they up to?"
Chu Yan shook her head, her gaze fixed on the military base below, "We and the Phoenix Society also want to know."
At this mont, as Lin Xian turned his head, suddenly, a surge of Black Gas shot skyward, and the mountain-sized S-Class Giant Body eerily stood up, its terrifying toothy head as if a mountain peak collapsing towards him. It grew larger in his view, forming a strong visual impact—Lin Xian only felt a cold intake of breath, his hair standing on end, with the still bone and jaw mirrored in his pupils!
"Hiss!"
In the No. 1 carriage of the Infinity, Lin Xian sat up with a start, his eyes dazed. After a mont, he realized the previous scene was likely a hallucination.
Outside at this mont, the entire Silent City was producing a trendous rumbling, shaking the heavens.
Lin Xian imdiately got up, opening the blackout panel, and saw at this mont, the docking port of the upper deck was swiftly opening, and in the starlit night, a brilliantly lit, magnificent Floating City hovered above, preparing to dock with the Main City!
