As soon as the words were out, tens of thousands of onlookers buzzed in an uproar. No one expected Xu Yufei to directly challenge Xing Zhan publicly, and this declaration sounded entirely like he was supporting Qin Feng.
Many people understood now that Xing Zhan wasn’t there to join Qin Feng.
Hearing this, Wu Bin, who had already stood up, furrowed his brows slightly and sat down again silently.
Xing Zhan, appearing to be in his forties, seed sharp-eyed. He rose directly, shrugged his shoulders, and said heartily, "Captain Xu, that’s not fair. Why wouldn’t I be here because I admire Captain Qin’s chanical superpower?"
He grinned, looking unconcerned, but since Xu Yufei had spoken, he could only sigh, "Alright, alright, since Captain Xu wants to spar a bit, I’ll give it a shot. I’ve never tried facing soone so formidable. Just to be clear, let’s keep it to the point."
With that, the smile on his face vanished instantly, and he leaped into the air with a loud impact, causing the tal ground of the rest area to sink from the imnse force.
Seeing this, the spectators exploded with excitent. The main attraction was about to comnce. These two individuals had peak strengths above five thousand, evolving faster amidst this dark mutation than most humans. Their combat capabilities far exceeded ordinary people, possessing the prowess of a B-level, even A-level, combatant. Each of them was equivalent to the firepower of an ard airship, and now they were about to clash directly, which was thrilling beyond asure.
Seeing Xing Zhan step onto the stage, Xu Yufei imdiately beca serious. Suddenly engulfed by a mass of black mist, he transford into a humanoid monster with cyan scales and bone spikes, exuding a formidable and oppressive aura akin to an Abnormal Body.
"Co on." With the demon form complete, Xu Yufei’s voice seed to change, becoming deep and hoarse, filled with murderous intent.
In the crowd, Lin Xian watched this scene with a sense of amazent. Although it was only a B-level superpower, this demon form was different from Shi Deyuan’s beastification. It was more like a complete evolution of monster shape multiplication and body mimicking, much more advanced than those bug-footed, claw-wielding superpower users encountered earlier. If not for that clear human face, it would be indistinguishable from an Abnormal Body!
"It seems human superpowers share similarities with so Abnormal Bodies," Lin Xian murmured softly, "Apparently altered by the dark invasion’s power causing these changes..."
On the stage, Xing Zhan twisted his neck, the joints of his battle armor emitting a dull tallic friction sound. He grinned, revealing ghastly white teeth, "Captain Xu, your demon form is just too much like an Abnormal Body. If I accidentally injure you, it won’t look good!"
Xu Yufei removed his gold-rimd glasses, an eerie purple glow emanated from the lenses, and he whispered, "Just a simple spar, then let’s exit the stage. No one should get hurt."
"Hey!" Xing Zhan glanced at Li Jian and Qin Feng not far away, his eyes flashing, then charged forward. His combat boots crushed the steel plate, a straight punch aid at Xu Yufei’s face, which was evaded by Xu Yufei through an inhumanly flexible backward lean.
Xu Yufei’s figure suddenly twisted, his skin transford into a flowing dark purple jelly-like substance, his limbs elongated, spine arching like a cheetah, and his nails extended into half-ter-long bone blades slashing towards Xing Zhan’s throat. However, Xing Zhan did not dodge, allowing the blades to spark against his battle armor.
"The strength is good!"
He laughed heartily, his right arm muscle swelling, energy gathering patterns glowing red beneath his skin, converting absorbed kinetic force into a hamr-like elbow strike, pushing Xu Yufei back three steps.
Xu Yufei knew ordinary attacks couldn’t harm the energy gathering system superpower of Xing Zhan. He emitted a low-frequency hiss from his throat, suddenly splitting into three bone spikes that shot out explosively, while his body edged into the black mist behind Xing’s rear, the bone blades carrying a shock wave aid at his back. Yet, Xing Zhan seed to have eyes on his back, spinning with a whip-like kick that blew rust off the stage’s guardrail.
"Your demon form is gimmicky!" he spat out so bloody froth, energy gathering patterns extending to his neck, completely absorbing the shock wave energy from Xu Yufei’s strike. Then he leapt, like a teor crashing down, his right fist charged with all the absorbed attack energy. With a booming sound, a purple shock wave burst open from the center, compressing the air into a sonic boom cloud, intending to force Xu Yufei off the stage.
To everyone’s surprise, Xu Yufei’s demonized body was incredibly tough. Suddenly, crimson mist erupted all over his body. With a step forward, it seed he nailed his leg to the stage. Then, bending forward with one hand, the cyan scales and bone spikes ford an extraordinarily sharp conical shape at the front, like a knight’s lance. The accumulated crimson mist gathered and charged forward, not only enduring the shock wave force but directly piercing the sonic cloud!
Xing Zhan’s expression turned serious, realizing it, he gripped the impending cone-shaped lance tight, retreating backward with sparks flying from steel combat boots. In the next instant, Xu Yufei halted his attack, his entire demon form fading, whilst Xing Zhan looked down at his suspended right foot, then exhaled a long breath.
"Tch, you don’t disappoint, Captain Xu, you’re indeed formidable." Xing Zhan casually wiped his face, turned and jumped off the stage, the battle armor crashing into the ground, leaving a deep pit. He waved without looking back, "I’ll treat you to drinks if we ever have the chance!"
"Send my apologies to Captain Lin." Xu Yufei said at this ti, his gaze shifting to the large convoy camp nearby.
