Now reading: Chapter 614: Cute trick from Apocalypse: King of Zombies, a Action novel by GigglyCat.

The Canadian Zombie Horde kept charging in relentless waves, only to be mowed down again and again. The battlefield looked like a bottomless pit—no matter how many bodies piled up, it never seed full.

Across from them, the Arican Zombie Kings stood their ground, enduring the onslaught with grim determination.

Laura was drenched in foul, black blood, her mind slipping into a frenzy. Her alloy bone blades flashed like silver lightning, slicing through corpses without pause—she’d long since lost count of how many she’d cut down.

Sprout’s vines were still growing wildly, lashing out and feeding on flesh and blood. But even with all the energy it absorbed, it couldn’t keep up with the drain. It was locked in a brutal stalemate.

This was no ordinary skirmish—it was an all-out war. The major Zombie Kings had all stepped onto the stage, each unleashing their full power.

The ground was layered with corpses, stacked one over another. Yet more zombies kept trampling over the bones, charging forward, killing without hesitation.

Even the elite zombies—the top-tier warriors—had run out of energy in their Crystal Core Firearms. One by one, they leapt off their monstrous mounts and dove into close-quarters combat.

But with their monstrous strength and resilience, they still tore through enemies like a wrecking ball.

From a distance, Sophia watched the battlefield unfold. What had started as a slight advantage for their side was now slipping away. The scales of victory were tipping—and not in their favor.

"This isn’t looking good..."

She muttered under her breath, a sinking feeling gnawing at her. The scene before her felt eerily familiar. Every ti they clashed with the Arican Zombie Horde, it always seed to end up like this.

History really did have a way of repeating itself...

Still, things hadn’t completely fallen apart—yet. As long as nothing else went wrong, there was still a chance they could pull off a win.

"Co on... Just let win once, damn it!" she scread silently in her heart.

Not far away, the battle between LORN and Ethan was still raging, and it was nothing short of apocalyptic. The ground was torn to shreds, deep cracks splitting the earth, so of them spewing out thick, white mist.

The terrain around them had been completely transford—wrecked beyond recognition.

LORN’s eyes glowed green, his face grim. The fight was brutal, but sothing had just clicked in his mind.

Ethan was still standing tall, completely unshaken. His white fur coat—immaculate. Not a single stain, not a single tear. It was like the battle hadn’t even touched him.

"...He’s not even going all out?"

LORN narrowed his eyes. This Zombie King’s level of evolution was way beyond anything he’d anticipated.

To think a creature like this still existed on Earth...

He glanced toward the horizon. Millions of zombies were still locked in combat, the entire battlefield shrouded in a red mist, like a scene straight out of hell.

But none of that mattered. If his people—the Celestials—could descend successfully, they’d steamroll every force on this planet.

That thought made his desire to seize the stone slab burn even hotter. His focus snapped back to it.

"It’s ti to end this..."

LORN’s gaze sharpened, and his aura surged again. He raised his hand, and two blazing lights flared to life—one blue, one red.

Ice and fire—two opposing forces—began to swirl and rge, forming a massive energy sphere that pulsed with terrifying power.

Fusion energy—the ultimate technique of a Cyborg.

But Ethan’s expression didn’t change. His eyes stayed calm, almost bored.

"Cute trick..."

"Oh? You think that’s all I’ve got?" LORN sneered, his grin twisted and wild.

A third energy source lit up from his chest—this one crackling with electricity, wild and unstable. Lightning.

It surged toward the fusion sphere, joining the ice and fire.

Ethan’s eyes flickered with a hint of surprise.

Fusing two elents already required insane precision—sothing no ordinary creature could pull off. Only the most advanced machines could manage it.

But three elents? That was exponentially harder. The complexity was off the charts.

Still, LORN, with the computational power of a fifth-generation Cyborg, could handle it with ease.

That was the power of the machine...

As the lightning energy kept pouring in, the already massive energy sphere swelled even larger. The blue and red hues of ice and fire swirled together at its core, while arcs of electricity crackled around its surface like a living storm.

Strangely enough, despite its destructive power, the sphere had a kind of eerie beauty—like a deadly work of art.

But the energy inside was terrifying. The brighter it glowed, the more unstable it beca, pulsing like it could explode at any second.

"Let show you what power beyond limits really looks like, you filthy creature—DIE!"

With a furious roar, LORN hurled the energy sphere forward.

The tri-elental blast shot through the air, expanding as it flew. In the blink of an eye, it had grown to over a hundred feet in diater, radiating blinding light. The space around it warped and twisted, black cracks tearing through the air like fractures in reality itself.

And it was fast—insanely fast. In a heartbeat, it was right in front of Ethan.

To him, it looked like a miniature sun crashing down, blotting out everything else around it.

"Not bad..."

He muttered under his breath. But a fusion of three elents? Still manageable.

With a thought, he activated the Domain of the Dead, slowing the sphere’s montum just enough.

Then, without hesitation, he raised the stone slab in his hand and swung it straight at the incoming blast.

The Radiant Crystal embedded in the slab flared to life, glowing like a newborn star. Its brilliance rivaled the energy sphere’s, and its presence was just as overwhelming.

BOOM!

The mont they collided, the world seed to explode.

The already-ruined battlefield shook violently, as if the planet itself was groaning under the pressure.

A blinding pillar of light shot into the sky, tearing through the clouds. Massive boulders were flung upward like leaves in a storm, only to disintegrate mid-air into dust.

The shockwave rippled outward in every direction, cracking the earth and sending thick plus of smoke and ash billowing into the sky.

Even the zombies locked in combat weren’t spared. The blast swept through them like a divine judgnt—those caught in its path were vaporized instantly, not even ashes left behind.

"Holy shit! That’s insane!"

"Fall back! Get the hell outta there!"

Zombies scread and scattered in panic, scrambling to escape the blast zone.

The clash between these two titans had beco the center of the entire battlefield—nothing else even ca close.

Sophia raised one arm to shield her eyes, the shockwave whipping her long hair around like a storm. A wave of dust and debris slamd into her with the force of a bullet.

Even with her enhanced Vampire body, the sting of it made her wince.

"What the hell was that?"

"That power... it’s unreal..."

She squinted toward the heart of the explosion, trying to make out what was left. It was hard to believe that kind of force could co from flesh and blood.

But... that had to be the limit, right?

All across the battlefield, other Zombie Kings had paused to look.

Bulldozer, Laura, Sprout—they all turned their attention toward the blast zone. But none of them looked worried. Deep down, they had absolute faith that their leader would co out on top.

Even Logan had stopped his slaughter. His crimson eyes flicked toward the explosion, watching intently.

The scene unfolding before him was like sothing out of a nightmare. And for the first ti, he was genuinely stunned.

He and Ethan were both listed in the Zombie King archives—top-tier combatants. He’d always figured Ethan might be a little stronger, but not by much.

He never imagined Ethan was this powerful.

"...But he’s okay, right?"

The zombies watched in silence.

LORN’s crystal core was noticeably dimr now, its glow flickering. The prolonged high-intensity battle had taken its toll—even with his body packed full of top-grade cores, he was starting to run low.

Still, if he could get his hands on the slab, it would all be worth it.

He lifted his glowing green eyes and stared ahead.

The shockwaves were dying down. The smoke and dust were slowly beginning to clear...
