Apocalypse Landlord: My Tenants Are All Beautiful Heroines. Chapter 147: Resurrect People? Nope, Can’t Do That
[The creature has been captured, Host. The tenants are on their way back with it.]
"Tell them to remain vigilant till they are inside the barrier," Aiden said, tossing away the rifle.
Thanks to the unexpected help from the twin swordswon, capturing the creature was a piece of cake. However, that didn’t lessen the anger Aiden felt over the incompetence of his tenants.
Sure, no one could have expected the creature to turn into a turret, but their panic was the one thing that screwed over the plan. If not for Glenn receiving the notification about the catch, things would have ended horrendously.
Then again, Aiden also knew punishing the tenants wouldn’t do him any good. After all, they weren’t like his fearless army of the Otherworld that waged war against the system gods just because he told them to.
Never thought I would say this, but I miss those savage bastards.
He walked down the stairs and was imdiately greeted by Alisha. At a glance, she looked worried and rushed to him as soon as he appeared there.
"Aiden! Thank god... I thought you went out to help them," she blabbered on. "I don’t know what happened and—"
"Shush," Aiden smiled, cupping her face. "Did you forget? I can’t leave the barrier even if I wanted to."
"But the notifications—"
"Don’t worry about that stuff," he said, kissing her before caressing her stomach. "This is the only thing you should be thinking about, got it?"
Aiden could see that Alisha’s worries didn’t disappear entirely, but she allowed herself to be pulled into his embrace as he bombarded her with kisses. It wasn’t until his lips beca dry that she finally let go of him.
By then, the tenants began arriving at the building.
Aiden took the elevator downstairs and walked to the edge of the barrier. The wolves were the first to see him and imdiately evaded their eyes.
They were his elite forces, and yet even with all of them there, the plan almost failed. They had seen how much he detested failures and were worried about how he would punish them.
Instead, he just clapped for them.
Between all the ti Alisha kissed him and the ti he got there, Aiden had cooled down significantly. Besides, his constant yelling didn’t help them at all in the situation.
"You all did a good job out there," he said, gesturing them to enter while allowing the creature and the twins to enter as well. "Take it into B1 and monitor it. If it escapes, then I wouldn’t be as kind to you people anymore."
The wolves nodded and got to work. As Glenn was about to join them, Aiden grabbed his shoulder and nodded.
"Thank you," he said.
"Just doing my job, sir," Glenn replied.
"Even so, you deserve more than my thanks. Feel free to ask anything you’d like from ," he said, turning his attention to the twin swordswon behind Glenn. "Thank you for your help as well."
To Aiden’s surprise, the sister with the longsword bowed before him and smacked her sister into doing the sa. Seeing them like that confused Aiden.
Weren’t they just fighting his people before? Now, not only did they help capture the creature, but they were also bowing before him?
Aiden looked at Glenn and raised an eyebrow as if asking what was wrong with them, but Glenn just shrugged.
"They heard about the creature and suddenly asked to help kill it," he whispered. "It seems they had a run-in with the creature before, and it seemingly killed a few people who were with them."
Aiden had a lightbulb mont when Glenn said that.
So that’s why the two of them are moving alone. That creature must have killed those kids I saw before.
Aiden shook his head. Those children were gifted at scavenging, but then again, he didn’t really need them anymore, considering how stocked his shop already was. Still, it was a sha to lose evolvers, especially such young ones.
Now it also made sense why they quickly switched sides and worked with Glenn to take the creature down. It was for revenge, and now they were there, probably because they had no direction left to go.
"Co on inside," Aiden said, turning back. "Glenn will give you a tour of the building, and if you like it, you can sign a tenancy contract to live here—"
While he was saying all that, the older sister with the longsword tugged on his sleeve and began crying. The younger sister also had moist eyes, but refused to let the tears fall.
Even Glenn was startled at their abrupt action and tried to step in between, but Aiden waved him off. Still, he wasn’t any good at handling emotional won, so he grabbed the woman’s hand and pulled it off his sleeve.
"What is it?" he asked.
"That man... said you can grant any desire of your followers," the older twin sniffed. "Is... that true?"
Aiden turned, glaring at Glenn. He would have expected Marcus to sing his praises in front of strangers, but even he wouldn’t make such absurd claims.
anwhile, Glenn just smiled awkwardly, watching Aiden mouth a few words.
"I’ll deal with you later."
That’s what he said, but Damian thought he said he would reward him later, and his smile broadened. It was just like Marcus told them, as long as they treated Aiden like their lord and savior, he would bombard them with rewards!
"Ahem, that’s not true, but I do have so strange abilities," Aiden replied, clearing his throat. "As long as it is sothing I can do, then—"
"Can you resurrect people!" the twins exclaid simultaneously, crying their eyes out.
Instead of being surprised by their request, Aiden was just annoyed.
Resurrection? If that shit was so easy, would I have suffered for years to get Carmila back?
Even though he wanted to say that, it truly made him wonder. After all, there were saints in the Otherworld who brought back a few heroes to life.
However, those thods never worked on demons and related creatures. Besides, they could only be resurrected within five seconds of death. So resurrecting soone wasn’t possible, even for him. At least, not with his current abilities.
The system gods might be able to do it, but I’ll probably enslave them before they could pull a stunt like that.
Aiden looked at the girls and sighed.
"It’s not possible for ," he said, shaking his head. "However, no one knows what the future holds. Maybe soday I could do it or find soone who could—"
"Thank you! If you say... there’s a possibility, then you must know a way to do it. Thank you so much. Thank you!"
He had barely said those words when the twins fell to their knees and... thanked him?
Oi, did you not listen to a word I said!?
