It was destiny!
They got along so well with each other that they did not notice something strange happening.
Li Ran asked, “How long have you known each other?”
“A long time. We’ve met ever since the very beginning of the apocalypse,”
Wang Gang had always been quick to adapt.
Now, he could easily kill zombies with minimal effort. He also picked his fights to reduce wasting energy.
“What’s the situation like around here?”
Li Ran asked as she glanced around.
Suddenly, she took out her keys and opened the car’s doors..
“Everyone, get in the car! Hurry!”
A horde of zombies was approaching them! They had been so engrossed in chatting that they did not even notice the danger.
Gu Jin pushed Zhao Ying into the car and then got in himself.
Li Ran was about to open the driver’s seat door, but some zombies got really close to her so she had to run in the other direction.
After Yang Shao got into the car, he slammed the door shut. When he turned around, he saw that Li Ran was still outside. However, Wang Gang had not entered the car yet either. Upon noticing that, he let out a sigh of relief.
Gu Jin and Zhao Ying looked very worried. Yang Shao forted them, “Don’t worry. Wang Gang is very strong. He’ll definitely protect Li Ran.”
“We were too careless! If anything happens… I…”
Several zombies were chasing after Li Ran. Gu Jin’s eyes widened. He moved half of his body to the front seat so that he would be ready to open the door for Li Ran at any time.
Li Ran took out her knife and slashed at the zombies that were in her way.
Meanwhile, Wang Gang had killed two zombies in a matter of seconds.
He ran towards Li Ran, took the knife, and carried her in one hand. Using the knife, he killed two more zombies that were in front of him. Then, he placed Li Ran on the hood of the car!
“Get in the car!”
Li Ran knew that she would burden Wang Gang if she got in his way. So, she tried to enter the car as he manded.
However, when she turned around, a zombie was right there! It was so close that Li Ran could clearly see its fangs.
She let out a scream and jumped back!
Then, she quickly took out her pistol that was in her waist bag and shot the zombie in its head!
Wang Gang instantly recognized the sound of a gunshot. After all, he was an ex-special forces soldier. He could also tell that the gun was exclusive to the military.
It had good destructive power and a decent shooting range!
Wang Gang could not take his eyes off the gun in Li Ran’s hand.
If Li Ran had not shot the zombie, he would have sacrificed himself for her right there!
After ing back to his senses, Wang Gang escorted Li Ran to the driver’s seat while he took the front passenger seat.
Before more zombies could e, Li Ran locked all the doors and stepped on the accelerator. Her face was still full of fear.
The three people in the back seat were stunned. They looked at Li Ran with admiration in their eyes.
She was definitely not an ordinary woman!
Back there, she was so cool and capable!
Even the sharp-tongued Yang Shao said sentimentally, “She’s really amazing. I was more surprised by her than meeting this little guy.”
Upon hearing that, Gu Zhao said in a serious tone, “Big brother, how can you be surprised when you did not even react?”
The little boy directly exposed Yang Shao’s lie.
With how the world had turned out, it had bee hard for Yang Shao to be shocked by anything. When he saw Gu Zhao, he was not bothered by the scales and even thought that he was cute.
Then, he pinched the scaly skin on the little boy’s face. When Gu Zhao plained about the pain, he reluctantly stopped. Yang Shao turned his head and asked, “What ability does this little guy have?”
Gu Jin and Zhao Ying did not answer him. They were more focused on Li Ran.
Yang Shao started to chat with Gu Zhao.
The little boy told him that the gun scared him. Yang Shao merely shrugged and said, “Don’t be frightened. You’ve already seen zombies, so a gun is really not a big deal.”
