With the fading voice of the guardian of the treasure land, a massive burst of white light enveloped the entire Cacodemons Island.

Wen Yu imdiately felt a colossal force pulling his body upwards, flying uncontrollably higher and higher.

Until the whole panorama of Cacodemons Island appeared before Wen Yu’s eyes. Until the entire Cacodemons Island beca a tiny dot. Until Wen Yu lost consciousness.

「...」

SPLASH.

A large amount of bone-chilling cold water was poured over him!

Given Wen Yu’s physical fitness, he shouldn’t have cared about so-called "cold water" on Earth. But this ti, it was different! The so-called cold water was far, far colder than any found on Earth!

Wen Yu shuddered, imdiately hopping up from the ground.

Before Wen Yu could react, an even colder voice sounded.

"Serial number 22956, your cannon fodder camp attempted to flee during the great war, resulting in your entire camp being confined for 30 days. I trust you have profoundly recognized your mistake. Now, return to your barracks and fulfill your duty!"

The unfamiliar language echoed, but strangely, Wen Yu could understand the aning of the words!

As the voice faded, a light suddenly burst forth in the darkness! It was the door to the confinent room.

Wen Yu took a deep breath before surveying his surroundings.

The cramped, dim room was filled with trash and debris. Foul-slling sewage on the ground even subrged Wen Yu’s insteps.

He carefully assessed the strength in his body. Fortunately, his power remained, and his small Soul Beast was dazedly floating by his ear.

He then sank his consciousness into the 2nd Soul Realm, and Cyclops’s massive figure imdiately appeared before Wen Yu’s eyes.

After thoroughly checking himself and confirming that none of his soul pets or items in his space ring were missing, Wen Yu took a deep breath and marched out towards the source of the light.

Outside the door, a tall figure stood proudly at the entrance.

"Serial number 22956, follow . I’ll take you back to the barracks."

Wen Yu imdiately nodded, simultaneously letting out a sigh. Thank goodness they didn’t make find the barracks myself! That would have really screwed over!

Seeing that the trial had conveniently resolved one of his worries, Wen Yu carefully observed the figure before him.

He was around 1.9 ters tall, with bulging muscles that indicated a powerful physique. His proportions and appearance closely resembled those of a Western Caucasian, the only difference being his full head of shimring silver hair.

Wen Yu’s heart skipped a beat; he couldn’t forget the final words the guardian of the treasure land had spoken.

"Welco to my world."

Your world, huh? A flicker of doubt crossed Wen Yu’s eyes.

"Sir, could you tell where this is? I seem to have forgotten a few things," Wen Yu asked, feigning agony.

The silver-haired man in front of him paused briefly before speaking slowly. "Hmm, confinent doesn’t feel good, does it?" the silver-haired man said casually, yet Wen Yu could still detect undertones of contempt, schadenfreude, and even so empathy in his voice.

"Let remind you. This is Flashing Bluestar, Silver Moon Holy City, the 3rd Battalion’s military camp. You, as the commander of the 94th Cannon Fodder Camp, not only failed to lead the charge in last month’s battle but also attempted to desert at night. You were caught by our enforcent team and imprisoned!

"Honestly, do you Level 2 and Third-level small fry really think you can run off to a bright future just by leaving the Holy City?

"Ridiculous!"

The silver-haired man narrated the events with a touch of mockery, leaving Wen Yu increasingly bewildered.

Flashing Bluestar? Silver Moon Holy City? 3rd Battalion? Wen Yu murmured to himself, his voice barely audible.

"Hmm, we’re here. Go on in."

After about ten minutes of walking, the silver-haired man stopped and stepped aside. Before Wen Yu stood a humble barracks.

"And rember, this ti, because it was your first offense and we’re critically short on manpower, we’re giving you so leniency. If this were ten years ago, any Deserter would have been executed without question!

"Next ti, you won’t be so lucky."

After delivering his warning, the silver-haired man turned and left, leaving Wen Yu behind, lost in thought.

This really doesn’t bode well! Wen Yu shook his head with a bitter smile. Though he didn’t fully understand Flashing Bluestar, Silver Moon Holy City, or the 3rd Battalion, he certainly knew what "cannon fodder" ant!

To be reborn, only to end up as cannon fodder in a trial!

Never mind, I won’t dwell on it. There’s still not enough information to figure out what this trial is really about. Wen Yu stepped forward and walked straight into the barracks.

「...」

As Wen Yu entered the barracks, the previously bustling room suddenly fell silent.

Seeing Wen Yu, it was as if everyone had found their leader, and they all breathed a collective sigh of relief. As the strongest among them, Wen Yu naturally commanded such influence!

William, Chu Ziling, Jiang Wentao, Sun Ruixing, and even Sun Aotian were all present in the crowded barracks. Everyone remaining from Cacodemons Island was here.

Humans are social creatures, after all. Seeing so many of his own kind, especially a few powerful experts, Wen Yu felt a great weight lift from his heart.

"What happened? Did you also co from the confinent room?"

"Yes," Jiang Wentao, who was closest to Wen Yu, nodded.

Wen Yu noticed the panicked expressions on most faces. Only a few remained calm. He couldn’t help but rub his forehead.

Although Wen Yu had never been a soldier, he *had* been cannon fodder. Calmness and a willingness to fight to the death were the only guarantees for cannon fodder to survive. Most of the people here will likely die in this trial.

Wen Yu sat down next to Jiang Wentao and asked, "Did you gather any intelligence? Right now, all I know is that this place is called Flashing Bluestar, we’re in the 3rd Battalion’s military camp in Silver Moon Holy City, and we... are cannon fodder!"

Jiang Wentao nodded and replied directly, "I found out a bit more than you. This isn’t Earth, and everyone on this planet has silver hair.

"But what’s strange is that they didn’t show any suspicion regarding our hair or skin color.

"So, I suspect we’re in so kind of fabricated space."

"Hmm," Wen Yu responded softly. Gathering intelligence is Jiang Wentao and his group’s specialty.

"Also, do you know what ti it is now?"

"What?" Wen Yu looked at Jiang Wentao with confusion.
