"Yes, Sir!" Zhao Mingming responded from behind, gathering his strength.
Wen Yu nodded. "Relax. I’m not so commanding officer. Besides, you have a communicator, right?"
"Yes, Sir!" Zhao Mingming replied, taking a silver-white communication device from his military uniform pocket.
Wen Yu continued, "Inform your frontline scouts to report the positions and routes of the Demon Fiends, including their numbers."
Zhao Mingming nodded and imdiately began to operate the communicator.
After a mont, Zhao Mingming spoke.
"Reporting, Sir. The basic situation and movent routes of the Demon Fiends have been ascertained."
After speaking, Zhao Mingming took a map and a compass-like device from his uniform and began to explain to Wen Yu.
"Currently, the military is aware of four Level 4 Demon Fiends. Just today, these four led large numbers of Demon Fiends from Demon City and began advancing in this direction."
Zhao Mingming pointed to the center of the map.
"There are a great many Demon Fiends. According to our observations, there is likely a special thod of communication among the various Demon Fiend groups to relay information."
"Furthermore, the entire area within a 100-kiloter radius of Demon City is already under the Demon Tribe’s surveillance."
Hearing Zhao Mingming’s words, Wen Yu nodded and said directly, "Point the way. Take directly to the nearest group of Demon Fiends."
"Yes, Sir."
Zhao Mingming first communicated with his colleagues in charge of intelligence, then pointed to the map.
"Right here."
Wen Yu nodded.
"Then let’s set out. Maintain constant contact with the scouts on that end. We’ll adjust our course as necessary."
Upon hearing this, Zhao Mingming finally processed the implications.
"Um, Sir, are we going to..."
"Slaughter them!" Wen Yu stated indifferently.
"But..."
"Follow orders, soldier!"
"Yes, Sir!"
For these soldiers, a superior’s orders were paramount. Therefore, even though Zhao Mingming didn’t know Wen Yu’s true strength, he chose to obey.
Even if such an action, in Zhao Mingming’s eyes, was clearly suicidal!
The area spanned 100,000 square kiloters, a considerable expanse. At Cyclops’s usual speed, it would normally take several days to travel from the Human Race’s castle to Demon City.
Fortunately, Wen Yu wasn’t in a great hurry and chatted with Zhao Mingming atop Cyclops’s large head.
Through these simple conversations, Wen Yu also gained an understanding of the current battlefield situation.
The military had already detected Demon City’s location, giving them an advantage. However, the Demon Tribe had not yet found the military’s castle.
Unfortunately, this advantage was only temporary.
As the number of Demon Fiends grew, this relatively small area would sooner or later be overrun by them. When that ti ca, no creature on the entire battlefield would have a place to hide.
Moreover, Zhao Mingming was quite pessimistic about the war’s outco.
According to Zhao Mingming, the sheer number of Demon Fiends pouring from the three Demon Realm’s Gates was terrifying.
On average, more than 500 Third-level Demon Fiends surged from the Demon Realm’s Gate each day. This number alone was enough to match the total count of warriors the Human Race currently had in this treasure land, not to ntion the swarms of Low-grade demonic creatures.
Furthermore, the Demon Groups, led by Level 4 Demon Fiends, had already begun search operations.
War was imminent.
Wen Yu made no comnt on this.
War or no war, victory or defeat—it ant nothing to Wen Yu.
Wen Yu had co here for only one purpose:
To kill!
To slaughter every Demon Fiend he laid eyes on.
In fact, Wen Yu was probably lanting the scarcity of Demon Fiends!
This treasure land had no Sun, but the sky constantly emitted a white glow.
According to Zhao Mingming, there was no distinction between day and night, and the temperature was moderate.
The environnt was impartial, offering no exploitable advantages to either the Human Race or the Demon Fiends.
Perhaps Zhao Mingming ant to subtly remind Wen Yu that using traps to hunt Demon Fiends was entirely unrealistic.
Wen Yu rely shrugged at this.
Nearly ten hours later, Cyclops, beneath Wen Yu, sent a Spiritual Fluctuation.
Boss, I’ve slled their scent.
Wen Yu gave a slight nod and tapped Zhao Mingming, who was napping on Cyclops’s back.
Startled awake by Wen Yu, Zhao Mingming was instantly alert.
Seeing this, Wen Yu couldn’t help but nod.
These military warriors reacted quickly and adapted well to their surroundings. Overall, their caliber was quite high.
Seeing Zhao Mingming imdiately straighten up, Wen Yu said directly, "We’ve found a group of Demon Fiends. You should get down first. Do whatever you need to—hide where you are, or follow and observe. After I deal with this batch, I’ll find you by your scent."
Hearing Wen Yu’s words, Zhao Mingming imdiately saluted and shouted, "Yes, Sir!"
Wen Yu felt a surge of helplessness. During their ti together, Zhao Mingming had developed the habit of ending nearly every sentence with "Sir."
"Stop calling ’Sir.’ I’m not your commanding officer."
"Yes, Sir."
Wen Yu had him figured out. To put it kindly, the young man was earnest; to put it bluntly, he was obstinate. As a recent recruit, rigorous military training had instilled in him a strict adherence to rules, making him seem sowhat inflexible.
"Just be careful," Wen Yu reminded him, then commanded Cyclops to move out imdiately.
The muscles on Cyclops’s four legs bulged powerfully, unleashing imnse strength.
While tracking earlier, Cyclops had moved slowly; high-speed travel consud too much stamina. But now, with the enemy’s position known, Cyclops launched into an imdiate charge.
Its powerful legs stomped four large craters into the solid ground as it shot forward like a cannonball.
Instantly, a sonic boom erupted, and a massive shockwave blasted outward as Cyclops accelerated.
Cyclops broke the sound barrier in the blink of an eye.
"Damn it, slow down!" Wen Yu yelled, bracing himself against the fierce, oncoming wind as he grabbed Cyclops’s Ear to maintain his balance.
WOOF WOOF. Boss, you’re the one who told to charge.
Wen Yu fiercely tugged Cyclops’s Ear.
"You’re just as obstinate."
Behind them, Zhao Mingming watched Cyclops charge at full speed. After a mont’s hesitation, he decided to follow.
Evidently, the young man wanted to witness the battle—or perhaps, to promptly report Wen Yu’s demise to headquarters.
