Kuangliu watched the farcical display between Andre and Claire outside the city wall and couldn’t help but curl his lip. He then looked around, appearing utterly bored.
After a while, as if a thought had struck him, Kuangliu took out his walkie-talkie and dialed Wen Yu’s communication link for the umpteenth ti.
"Where are you now..." Kuangliu asked in a despondent tone.
"Star has completed its upgrade and is currently acclimating to its new bodily functions. It will return to the outpost in another 30 minutes. anwhile, prepare a Level 4 darkness attribute magic crystal."
Upon hearing this news, Kuangliu jolted. He excitedly agreed, ended the communication, and turned to Fang Wenhai beside him.
"Call Yang Pengguang back. Wen Yu is about to return."
Fang Wenhai nodded imdiately.
Outside the outpost, the booming of artillery and the battle of the professionist legion continued unabated. Simultaneously, the "conflict" between Andre and Claire was escalating.
BOOM!
A "custom-made" missile crashed straight into Andre’s large mouth, chipping a large gap in his front teeth and conveniently silencing his barrage of obscenities.

While spitting out shrapnel, Andre shot Claire a vindictive middle finger.
It now seed that the "grudge" between them was certainly not small.
The surrounding Russian and Arican soldiers burst into laughter, pointing at Andre from ti to ti, but he showed no signs of annoyance. He downed a bottle of super healing potion and launched his mouth cannon skill yet again, only for Claire to beat him until he was jumping and scrambling to evade.
"Stop ssing around! The Cathay military just ssaged that Sequence Number 2 will be here soon. Andre, Claire, both of you get ready," a high-ranking Arican forces officer said, ascending the city wall to address them.
On hearing this news, the bustling city wall suddenly fell silent.
When the battle had first begun, the soldiers on the wall had witnessed the individual combat capabilities of Sequence Number 5, Sequence Number 6, Sequence Number 7, and Sequence Number 9.
Their strength, on a completely different level, had utterly amazed the countless soldiers who had never seen truly powerful experts.
However, when Kuangliu stepped onto the city wall with his Level 5 strength, everyone, including the four aforentioned Sequences, witnessed the power of a true apex expert of the Human Race.
The Level 5 Sequence Number 3 possessed power that was overwhelmingly superior, crushing any comparison.
The primary reason was the level difference. Kuangliu had been stationed at the outpost for a significant ti, so his gains naturally far exceeded those of the other four.

"He’s here," Kuangliu muttered softly, fiddling with a few Level 4 darkness attribute magic crystals in his hand.
Upon hearing Kuangliu, the others present stretched their necks to gaze into the distance, but they saw nothing.
"By the way, what’s Sequence Number 2 like?" Yang Pengguang chuckled and asked Kuangliu, a peculiar glint sparkling in his eyes.
"You’ll know when he arrives." Kuangliu’s reply was indifferent and not particularly friendly; his words were evidently perfunctory.
Yang Pengguang shrugged, unfazed by Kuangliu’s attitude, and turned his gaze outward once more.
In the distance, the black speck grew steadily larger.
Star’s massive figure hovered over the outpost for a long while, causing a commotion.
Then, the gigantic beast slowly descended onto the city wall. Seeing Kuangliu and a few unfamiliar foreigners waiting, Wen Yu felt no particular desire to exchange greetings. He jumped directly off Star’s back and extended his hand toward Kuangliu.
"You return without even a greeting and imdiately demand things? You’re really sothing..."
Before Kuangliu could finish his rambling, Wen Yu snatched the magic crystals from his hand. While feeding them to the little Soul Beast, he asked, "What’s the deal with the Level 5 upgrade trial?"
Kuangliu had previously ntioned that the Level 5 upgrade trial would have so changes. Wen Yu rembered this clearly, and now, with a firsthand example before him, he naturally wanted to ask for details.
Kuangliu simply shook his head. "It’s not difficult. It’s just that those who were artificially boosted by other people’s magic crystals will likely be eliminated."
Hearing this, Wen Yu nodded in understanding. Though not a genius, Wen Yu was definitely no fool; the aning behind Kuangliu’s words was extrely clear.
"By the way, let introduce you to this..."
Before Kuangliu could finish, Wen Yu waved him off. "We can talk about anything else after my upgrade."
With that, Wen Yu continued feeding the little Soul Beast magic crystals as he walked towards the distant Exchange Stone Pillar.
He left Kuangliu standing there, looking sowhat helpless, and the other Sequences, who all wore embarrassed expressions.
Yang Pengguang remarked with a sneer, "Truly arrogant."
"Tell about it! I can’t believe we were just ignored like that," Andre grumbled with a hint of indignation.
Kuangliu, surprisingly, spoke up for Wen Yu. "This guy isn’t actually hard to get along with. It’s just that he’s a pure egoist. He’s about to upgrade, so naturally, he’s in no mood to exchange pleasantries with you all."
"Oh, and by the way, this guy doesn’t seem very interested in won..." Kuangliu directed this last sentence towards Claire, who had intentionally revealed a good portion of her fair, smooth skin.
After hearing Kuangliu’s words, Claire imdiately pulled up her neckline. She shot a sharp glare at Wen Yu’s retreating figure and cursed a string of English profanities. "What a waste of my makeup..."
"Darling, you still have ." Andre, nearby, deliberately put on a lewd expression, only for Claire to spin around and deliver a vicious kick to his groin, leaving him doubled over in pain.
"Select upgrade trial."
