Wen Yu brandished the steel saber once more, this ti aiming for the Corpse King’s ankle! These were not fatal blows; Wen Yu simply wasn’t tall enough to reach the Corpse King’s head, even with his steel saber raised high. Thus, he had to settle for the next best thing: repeatedly deepening the wounds on the Corpse King’s body.
The Corpse King stared dumbly as Wen Yu’s steel saber hacked at its ankle. A single strike exposed the bone!
It’s over! This was the Corpse King’s current thought. If Wen Yu severs my ankle, I’ll lose my last hope of escape!
Wait, I can still run! Why didn’t I think of that sooner?! The Corpse King’s slow mind suddenly latched onto its best option: flee!

The Corpse King had anticipated this. The mont it broke free, it unleashed all its strength and bolted madly towards the nearby wilderness.
Behind it, Cyclops was in hot pursuit. His superior physical attributes made him faster than the Corpse King. In less than five seconds, Cyclops would catch the Corpse King and bite through its neck.
Wen Yu snatched the Corpse King’s severed right arm from the ground, stored it in his space ring, and then gave chase.
Cyclops saw the Corpse King’s figure drawing nearer. Any mont now, he would pounce on the Corpse King and crush its throat! But suddenly, Cyclops stumbled. His speed dwindled until he collapsed to the ground. Severely wounded, Cyclops could no longer hold on!
Wen Yu naturally understood what had happened. He first deactivated his combat state, imdiately activated his 2nd Soul Realm to retrieve Cyclops, then re-entered his combat state, augnted by Mortal Combat!

The Corpse King fled straight ahead, rushing into the forests near Chaihe Town.

Wen Yu, holding his slightly deford steel saber, advanced step by step towards the Corpse King. He watched as it thrashed and roared in fury, yet could not conceal the panic in its eyes. It was rely a hollow bluff!
The Corpse King, as it was now, possessed no ability to resist Wen Yu. Wen Yu lunged with his blade. Sensing its predicant, the Corpse King didn’t hesitate to launch its final, desperate struggle!
Two figures—one standing, small, the other half-kneeling and gigantic—engaged in a bloody duel in this deserted, deep mountain range. Instantly, the Corpse King’s agonized roars and screams echoed far and wide. But no matter how wretched its cries, they could not alter its impending doom.
However, the voluminous sounds echoing far into the distance startled so unknown creatures lurking in the deep mountains!
From the deepest part of the mountains, atop a giant ancient tree, a dark blue figure suddenly soared into the sky. Its partially spread wings spanned an astonishing ten ters. On its forehead, a black Crystal shimred with a faint light, appearing like a third eye—mysterious and terrifying!
With a clear, piercing cry, this giant Hawk rapidly flew toward the location of Wen Yu and the Corpse King’s battle.
