Now reading: Chapter 16: Sleep Is Important from Apocalypse Online: Regression of SSS-Class Summoner, a Game novel by CloverNine.

For the next twelve hours inside the ga, Max didn’t do anything besides ditating in the mana sensitivity chamber, drawing admiration from the mage trainees and the reluctant acknowledgent from the other players.

While most of them couldn’t last long for 9 hours straight, Max was immovable. If it was not because he would stand and stretch from ti to ti to prevent numbness, they would have thought he was a statue long ago.

At the mont, Max was already Level 8 and surprisingly, his mana sensitivity had a breakthrough to the interdiate level proficiency.

It happened just a minute before the system notification’s warning rang inside his mind.

[Your mana sensitivity proficiency level increased.

Mana Sensitivity (Interdiate): You now have a clear mana perception capability. You can detect active mana flows, distinguish different elental signatures, sense mana concentration levels, identify unstable mana structures, and detect magical traps at close range.]

Max was satisfied. It only took him a few days to gain the interdiate level of proficiency in Mana Sensitivity.

In fact, before a player’s class advancent, a mage must attain an interdiate proficiency level in mana sensitivity.

It would often take weeks in real-world ti.

For classes aside the arcane caster, an interdiate proficiency level and beginner proficiency level in mana control would already suffice for class-advancent.

However, Max at Level 8 already has mana control basic proficiency level and mana sensitivity interdiate proficiency level.

The level requirents to proceed to class advancent was Level 10. He still has two levels before he could attempt increasing his mana control to interdiate proficiency level.

He thought. If my evaluation in class advancent is perfect, I can’t wait for Teacher’s rewards!

Max logged out of the ga and as usual had a slight headache from playing the gaming pod.

He noticed his brother was already sleeping, so he strenuously grabbed his phone at the study desk of his younger brother and noticed it was already 5 am.

He glanced at the window and there was barely any sunlight yet.

He sighed.

My circadian rhythm is way broken. If I keep it like this, even if I won’t experience side-effects inside the ga, my body will suffer heavily in the real world.

I can’t afford being like this. Prevention is better than cure.

Max recalled how his body in the past was sensitive to his body clock. If it was broken, he would have a hard ti concentrating and would continue to experience severe headaches from ti to ti.

He was afraid it would worsen because of his hard work, so he decided to journal his ti schedule in his own notebook before going to sleep.

...

March 2, 2028. The second day the Apocalypse Online was launched.

The Aethernova page already released a confirmation statent from various countries that they could not crack down the identity of the hackers of virtual reality gas despite working with them.

They also released a statent that various virtual reality ga producers tried to launch their gas, but for so strange reason, it wouldn’t appear to every gaming pod, no matter how advanced it was.

Up to now, the virtual reality ga producers worked together with Aethernova to fix the problem, but it was already obvious that every player was already invested in Apocalypse Online.

Most of the organizations already invested a lot in the ga, knowing it would beco the face of the entertainnt industries around the world.

anwhile, Maximus Grant, who was currently leading every player in terms of Levels, had slept for eight hours again. He woke up at 1pm and noticed his brother had already left. Despite sharing the sa bed, he couldn’t notice his brother leaving from his bed.

He rested his eyes for five minutes before opening his phone and rolled his eyes. In fact, he wasn’t supposed to sleep for 8 hours, he was planning to sleep only for four hours before fixing his circadian rhythm.

However, Enzo, who was aware of his phone’s password, turned the alarm clock off and left a ssage, stating, "You must rest for eight hours straight. Don’t get too addicted to the gas. Health matters."

Max sighed and smiled.

He had already decided to keep his sleeping schedule at 11pm and woke up at 7am.

In other words, as it was currently 1pm, he only has 1 6 continuous hours use limit before going to sleep since after that the gaming pod would require to rest for four hours.

Max wasn’t worried about the ti he would waste inside the ga. He wasn’t in a hurry yet.

He cooked for his food, ate after soti, and spent half an hour exercising to digest his food faster. He logged inside the ga and returned to the mana sensitivity chambers.

For the next twelve hours, he reached Level 9, but his mana control remained the peak interdiate proficiency level.

He was not dissatisfied as a smile appeared on his face.

He thought. As soon as I reach Level 10, the mana control interdiate level proficiency would also increase.

By then, the quest for class advancent would be easy for .

Not only was Max looking forward to the rewards for completing the class advancent with a perfect evaluation, he was also aiming for the rewards from Apocalypse Online after gaining an achievent.

Max wasn’t worried if soone would rob it from him.

As far as he could rember, the first player to complete the first class advancent was Spencer Lewis.

However, it would occur on the fourth day.

Just thinking of surpassing the very person who killed him in his past life was enough for Max’s blood to boil from both rage and anticipation in defeating him in his new life.

Max logged out of the ga and noticed his younger brother was back in studying again.

Max interrupted him, chuckling. "Look at you, you’re studying hard to the point of depriving your sleep. Why are you lecturing about "health matters"?"

Enzo glanced at him and snorted. "It’s exam week now, so it’s fine. At least, I’m getting six hours of sleep straight and slowly extend my sleeping schedule no more than two hours, so I can easily fix it by next week.

Unlike you."

Max chuckled in response.
