"This is your first ti, correct?" Archmage Arlen asked while staring at the first target board in a daze.

Max thought. I an, in this life...

He responded with a nod, "Yeah."

Archmage Arlen glanced at Max while tilting his head in confusion.

As Max t his gaze, Archmage Arlen frowned.

He asked, "Then, what did you expect?"

Max was silent. He didn’t know what to respond.

Archmage Arlen sighed helplessly.

He turned towards the target board and replied, "In fact, you don’t need to hit the bullseye. You just need to hit the target board. I even thought your first mana sphere wouldn’t reach the target board, but here you are, showing your astuteness."

Archmage Arlen was utterly surprised by how Max launched his mana sphere. After conjuring the sphere above his palm, Max ford a burst of compressed mana behind it, which pushed the mana sphere forward.

In other words, Max had instinctively applied the Law of Mana Propulsion.

It was the earliest and most ancient thod of launching mana projectiles. Before structured spellcasting was developed, mages relied on pure mana compression to propel their constructs. Later, the introduction of spell structures allowed projectiles to follow predetermined paths and be infused with elental properties.

Archmage Arlen found it funny at first as he really thought Max would attempt throwing the mana sphere, but what he did was out of his expectations, increasing the accuracy on his first attempt.

Archmage Arlen could shake his head and sigh.

He said, "Do it again. The first one was recorded, don’t worry. After all, it consus your mana a lot."

Max nodded. Thankfully, he had 70 mana in total and he consud 20 mana each attempt.

The two remaining tries were not much worse than the first, but it was not satisfying for Max, who always aid for the dead center.

He could only grumble in annoyance.

Archmage Arlen rolled his eyes on how displeased Max was.

He said, "Alright. You showed very... very.... Very satisfying performance. Here’s your reward."

Archmage Arlen raised his hand forward and the ring on his index finger glowed a strange white light.

Max wasn’t blinded at all, not even blinking throughout the process.

He knew what the ring was. It was a storage ring, similar to a player’s inventory.

Four books appeared out of thin air and were being thrown towards Max.

Max grabbed each of them and absorbed it into his inventory.

Archmage Arlen seed not surprised, as though he had already anticipated it.

After the four books, another badge was thrown to Max. It was the badge with an insignia that symbolizes the Empire’s acknowledgent to a citizen who attained the Arcane Caster Class—a D-Rank Mage Class.

Archmage Arlen bead a smile at Max, as the badge swiftly passed through Max’s grasp and glued to his chest below his na badge.

He said, "Congratulations, you are now officially a mage."

...

Currently, all the players were grinding EXP to acquire their first class advancent. They couldn’t help but be excited to finally gain their first class.

So wanted to beco a swordsman, so wanted to beco a mage, a healer, and an archer.

Most of them were talented, already almost reaching their first class advancent.

While they were in the middle of grinding, they abruptly paused when a global broadcast was triggered.

Every player heard a voice, every player saw massive texts in the sky, accompanied by fireworks that were so loud they imdiately caught their attention.

[World Announcent]

[Congratulations to Player [Max] for becoming the first to awaken a D-Rank Class—Arcane Caster in the Mage Path.

He earned the following Title: {The First Awakener} and {The First Mage}

A new path has been opened to all players.]

Every player wondered about the identity of the first player to acquire their first class.

Most of the pro players wondered the most, trying to recall if there was soone with the nickna, Max.

There were many of them, of course, but they found it difficult to determine who was the real one.

Unfortunately, out of every Max they knew, Maximus Grant was not included.

His status remained hidden until he would publicly reveal himself.

...

Max, on the other hand, felt smug. Despite being in an enclosed space, the texts above were conspicuous and the fireworks and the voice uttering the texts were deafening.

At the sa ti, the system’s notification continued, but it was now echoing in his head.

The wall of texts began to manifest in front of him.

Max was not only satisfied from the world announcent, but the effects of equipping a title was more rewarding to him.

In his past life, he never earned a global achievent title.

He might have earned a title, but that was also a title that any player could learn.

The effects were minimal—hell, it only has a single effect.

He smirked. So, this is the effect of earning a global achievent title, huh? No wonder, every organization would go crazy to recruit a player who earned it.

In his past life, Spencer Lewis also gained quite a significant global achievent.

However, that doesn’t an Spencer was the Rank 1 player.

Nevertheless, he was worth to surpass—from every inch of his nerves.
