Max entered the ga at 3pm. He didn’t even wait to see how his response stirred the social dia.
For the next twenty-four hours, he remained in the Mana Controlled Circle Room, gaining awe from aspiring mages and mages themselves.
The mages even wondered if they could last as long as Max could, for the dense mana inside would definitely overwhelm their body, possibly resulting to mana deviation.
There were also mages who were inford to disturb Max to join in the celebration of his heroic reclamation of the watchtower, but it was already the norms for mages not to disturb others during their training or ditation.
In the end, Lieutenant himself ca, but Max strategically left the ga before joining after an hour had passed.
After twenty-four hours had passed, causing him to reach his ti limit, Max was satisfied by his active skills’ proficiency levels.
They all reached the advance level.
[Mana Pulse (Advanced)] — a high-energy wave with increased coverage and reliable force.
Area of Effect: 4-ter radius
Damage: 85 attack
Mana Cost: 16 mana points
Casting Ti: 1.5 seconds]
[Mana Thread (Advanced)] — multi-thread manipulation with strong tensile strength.
Thread Count: 4–6
Control Range: 10 ters
Mana Cost: 14 mana points ( 1 mana point/sec)
Casting Ti: 1.5 seconds]
To practice his Mana Thread and Mana Pulse required constant execution that greatly affected the other individual in the Mana Controlled Circle Room.
But they were unperturbed, welcoming Max’s disturbance to their cultivation with awe. They acknowledged that a normal mage, especially those who gained the Arcane Caster Class, only has two active skills—Arcane Bolt and Mana Shield.
They knew that only Archmage Arlen possessed the other two active skills but had not once seen him executing them.
But now, Max was giving them a free viewing of what the other two active skills were like.
Watching Max from a distance practicing his skills, they understood the disparity between him and them. Max hadn’t reached his limit in the first-class yet and they already understood they couldn’t defeat him even when they, ten individuals, banded together to defeat him.
Once Max logged out and hadn’t returned for eight straight hours, he wasn’t aware that his current progression already spread in the Arcane Cottage, shocking the players...
Max, on the other hand, logged out of the ga at 3am.
It was now officially a week since Apocalypse Online had erged, and his progression was worth admiring.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t celebrate as the mont he logged out of the ga, he snuggled to his brother in the bed and instantly fell asleep.
...
March 7, 2028. A week has already passed, but Apocalypse Online remained consistently the most popular discussion in the social dia.
Aside from the pentagon, constantly releasing statents and attempting to debunk Max’s claim that Apocalypse Online was given by an alien, the ongoing events inside and outside of Apocalypse Online remained relevant.
Especially Rhayne and Max’s conflict.
After Max responded Rhayne’s statents through the surprisingly Aethernova’s intervention, Rhayne had not posted her reply, which made them conclude that Max’s response was closer to the truth.
So tried to escalate by adding spices through their conspiracy, inspiring hate to Max.
At this mont, Rhayne was currently being consulted by a therapist her mother brought to their ho. She was not only a licensed therapist, but a worldly renowned one, gaining recognition globally.
As much as her mother and her other children wanted to accompany Rhayne on her consultation, the therapist suggested otherwise.
She assured them that she would silently record their conversation.
As they were waiting, Margaret was having discussion with her other children, asking the identity of the individual who hard her precious daughter.
Her other children had no clue—they were too busy in their own real-life work that they barely paid attention to gaming.
The Sterling family owned the biggest mining industry in Australia, and her children assisted their mother in expanding their business globally.
Rhayne was their youngest sibling, so only she has the freedom to enjoy without worry about their family business.
In other words, she was the most spoiled in the sibling.
The mont they heard of what had happened to her, they imdiately returned ho but before they could have a conversation with her, the therapist already arrived.
Margaret and her children started to inquire Rhayne’s butler.
Rhayne’s butler explained. "Miss Rhayne was greatly traumatized from dying in the ga. She told about the hundred percent pain synchronization of the ga. She died by having her face obliterated by a spell, so I can only imagine what it felt like..."
Jakob Sterling, the oldest sibling, frowned. He asked, "Shouldn’t you feel anything from those circumstances?"
Rhayne’s butler nodded. "Yes. Neurological function should cease before the brain register any trauma. But it’s a ga. I speculated that what happened inside the ga forced the players to feel what they shouldn’t have. Miss Rhayne told that the hundred percent pain synchronization was only possible to prevent players from fighting against each other as the ga inford her—which ans, it’s a punishnt.
That’s why I can only imagine what it felt like to be in her circumstances."
The atmosphere turned somber. Margaret was filled with worry for her daughter, as she did not have a chance to talk with her earlier. She was also filled with fury just thinking of the individual behind her daughter’s trauma.
She said, "Have you already find out who it was? We must punish them!"
Rhayne’s butler hesitated.
Margaret noticed and frowned heavily. "Speak."
Rhayne’s butler gulped and replied, "Miss Rhayne strictly advised not to do anything against him. She said it was her fault, but she won’t apologize for him.
What do you think I should do, Madam?"
Margaret was surprised. She gritted her teeth. Suddenly, her eyes widened.
She asked, "How did she say it?"
Rhayne’s butler tried her best to recall Rhayne’s expression.
She said, "She seed to be determined."
"That’s good." Margaret nodded. "Rhayne is a kind child. She definitely won’t let this matter go."
"So, what do you think we should do, Mother?" asked the second older sibling.
Margaret glanced at her and smiled. "Our Rhayne is growing up. She can take care of this matter herself."
She glanced at Rhayne’s butler and said in a stricter tone, "Continue to update us. If she feels helpless, only then we’ll intervene."
Rhayne’s butler nodded, determined to help her master at all costs...
