Now reading: Chapter 7: Bound on Equip Item from Apocalypse Online: Regression of SSS-Class Summoner, a Game novel by CloverNine.

As far as Max recalled, the scroll was a Bound on Equip item. Since he could not equip the scroll because of the requirent, he failed to bind it. It was also one of the reasons he imdiately gave up and treated it as an object that would change his life.

Since he looted the scroll in real life, it would make sense why it accompanied him and had only been detected once he entered the Apocalypse Online.

Max trembled slightly. Just as I was thinking of searching for the scroll, after I’m confident about the requirents to have a higher success of looting it in one of the dungeons, I didn’t expect it to accompany . It has also been bound by my soul and all I need is to acquire the Summoner Class.

Max trembled in excitent. He also chose the Greyfen Village because of their local dungeon. In his past life, he cleared a dungeon where he fought against corrupted knight remnants using light-attribute spells only to increase his spell’s proficiency.

After defeating them many tis, the scroll dropped as loot. The hidden legacy-class quest class has a title "Radiant Conclave."

It has a brief description about summoning variants of knights with light-attributes. It was certainly a legacy class that the demons feared.

Max’s plan was simple. He would consu a light-attribute magic crystal and developed an offensive related to light-attribute as far as he could rember and utilized it to clear the main quest by killing the demon.

If he failed, then he would try clearing their local dungeon until the scroll would drop as a loot.

Max was confident he would gain the scroll with his plan, but to his surprise, he actually did not need to execute it.

His eyes sparkled in excitent.

Main goal—beco a summoner!

To beco a summoner actually requires an NPC Summoner to grant a mage a second-class advancent quest. The Greyfen Village didn’t have a summoner, but, as far as he rembered, the capital city of the Mirefall Province, where the Greyfen Village belonged to, has a summoner NPC that could help him beco a summoner.

Max finalized his plan. After he beca an arcane caster and cleared the main quest in the village, he would travel to the capital city.

Now that his goal was clear, the first thing he had to do now was earn money to afford the mana sensitivity chamber in the village.

In fact, if he wanted to beco a mage, he must apply as a student for a mage instructor that cost a hundred coppers for a month.

However, Max already has a solid foundational knowledge about magic for beginners. Hence, what he only had to spend most of his money on was the mana sensitivity chamber where he could earn the skill mana sensitivity and mana control and focus on their proficiency.

Not planning to waste anymore of his ti, Max searched for an alchemist who would provide him a mission to harvest marsh alchemical plants outside to earn money and exp.

Max spent three hours straight to complete many quests.

...

Two hours in the ga equals to one hour in the outside world.

Max had been doing a quest to earn money and exp for three hours straight. He repeated the alchemist’s quest for an hour until there was no more alchemical plants outside, helping an NPC search for his dog that gave him five copper coins and 15 exp points, asking a chief if he needed an assistant as his restaurant was flocked with custors during lunch, helping an NPC feed his pigs, and more.

Thankfully, Max knew how to approach multiple jobs that didn’t need qualifications. In the end, after three hours, Max was able to gather 100 copper coins, which was enough for ten hours in the mana sensitivity room.

Staring at his inventory status, which has ten empty slots and showing 100 copper coins beside an old sack bag with rope image, Max bead a smile.

He thought. I still have extra coins left after spending my remaining ti before the 6-hour recomnded continuous use limit.

Max has also reached level 3 after doing so quests.

Not wanting to waste any more ti, Max proceeded to the Arcane Cottage, where the B-Rank Archmage Arlen Mireth resided.

...

The Arcane Cottage was an elevated reinforced stone hut designed to stabilize ambient mana flow in a marsh environnt.

There were mage trainees guarding the wooden gate.

As soon as they saw Max, with his shabby clothes, proceed towards them, they shifted their body movent to release an intimidating aura.

Once Max arrived, the mage trainee asked in a grave tone, "What are you here for?"

Max took out a pouch from his pocket, which ca from his inventory, and showed it to them.

He said, "I’ll be renting a spot in the mana sensitivity chamber. I’m an aspiring mage just like you."

He bead a smile... albeit it was forced and awkward.

The mage trainee stared at him in long silence and finally decided to allow Max to enter.

The gate wasn’t closed, it was always open, so just by opening a path for Max, the latter easily entered.

Unbeknownst to him, other players who noticed him talking with the mage trainees and were actually allowed to enter were stunned.

They had just yet to earn ten copper coins, much less a hundred copper coins to beco a student of an Archmage for a month.

Then, the rumor of a player already earning a hundred copper coins in a span of three hours when the ga had just launched spread like wildfire in the Greyfen Village.

...

Most of the players chose Warriors as their main class. The Warrior Instructor was surprisingly kind enough to give them an hour free of training inside.

Of course, the Warrior Instructor would only give an hour per day to players who couldn’t afford but aspired to beco a warrior to teach them how to swing a sword.

However, to beco an official student of the Warrior Instructor required a hundred copper coins.

It was the sa for other class branches: ranger, mage, and support.

Hence, every single one of them was now aiming to earn a hundred copper coins after spending the free trial from the other instructor.

Suddenly, when a rumor of a player already gaining an access inside the Arcane Cottage, which the mage instructor didn’t even give a free trial, spread to the players in the Greyfen Village, most of them were desperate.

Desperate to know his secret.

When a group of players ca to know about it, the leader asked to keep an eye on the player by waiting outside and learned about his daily activities, so they could copy it...
