Moreover, her space could now not only grow crops but also raise livestock.
She already had chickens, fish, and ducks in her space, and a few days ago, she’d even gotten several pigs to raise.
Although the numbers weren’t large, since they could be raised in her space, she didn’t have to worry about them dying.
After raising them for a while, the animals would multiply, and then they wouldn’t be short on at either.
So even if Caeluna’s people never had to go out and fight others for supplies again, what she had on hand would be enough for them to survive.
But they didn’t need to know all that. After all, she had to give them so motivation from ti to ti.
It wasn’t that Stella Sterling was being arrogant.
Although her earlier words had been partly intended to provoke them and stir up their emotions, they were also what she truly believed.
It was, indeed, their honor to be able to join Caeluna!
The crowd remained excited for a long while before finally quieting down. Now, their gazes on Stella Sterling were completely uniform.
They were all filled with respect and adoration.
In this post-apocalyptic world, anyone who could promise them a full stomach was worthy of their respect.
Every one of them looked at Stella Sterling, waiting for her to speak again.
Seeing that her objective had been achieved, Stella Sterling didn’t waste any more ti on the matter.
She had soone bring the boxes that had been placed to the side and set them down in front of the crowd.
Then, she had them opened one by one!
"HSSS—"
As the contents were revealed one by one, many in the crowd gasped in shock!
It wasn’t just them; even Caeluna’s veteran mbers and the ones opening the boxes stared with wide eyes.
Seven Locke and Julian Fletcher were no different. They had been the ones to carry these boxes back, but without an order from Sterling, none of them had dared to open them and look inside.
Now that the contents were laid bare for all to see, they finally realized what it was they had been carrying.
They all wondered if they were seeing things.
Seven Locke and the others had always known that Sterling possessed firearms, but even after being with Caeluna for over a year, they had no idea just how many the group actually had.
As box after box was opened, their initial shock slowly gave way to numbness.
’Where did Sterling get so many guns and so much ammunition?’
’And now that she’s laid them all out in front of us, what is she planning to do?’
Everyone’s breathing grew heavy. Once the initial shock had passed, they all turned to look at Stella Sterling.
They all knew Stella Sterling wouldn’t display these items for no reason, so they waited for her to continue.
"Everyone, Caeluna will be making so big moves in the near future. As such, conflicts with other factions will be inevitable."
"And these are the weapons I am issuing to you. I hope that every single one of our mbers cos back safely."
Upon hearing this, the crowd grew even more excited, their breathing becoming heavy once again.
For the guns they were about to receive, and for Stella Sterling’s words.
These things—these weapons—were the foundation of a base’s survival.
Normally, any other base would have hidden such things away, not daring to let anyone know of their existence, let alone their location.
Yet here was Stella Sterling, displaying them so openly and even preparing to issue them to her people. How could such magnificent generosity not leave them in shock?
But what moved them even more were Sterling’s words...
The calst people at that mont were Black Swan, Stephen Lawrence, and Shane Lawrence!
The expressions on the faces of the eight people who had previously wanted to leave changed drastically. Their eyes burned with envy as they stared at box after box of ammunition.
Regret began to well up inside them. ’Perhaps we shouldn’t have been so quick to make a decision. We should have waited a little longer.’
Stella Sterling had Stephen Lawrence and Shane Lawrence pick out their portions first, followed by Julian Fletcher, Seven Locke, and their group.
After them ca the first group of people who had joined Caeluna. Stella Sterling even gave weapons to their family mbers.
The second group of new mbers, however, did not receive any.
It wasn’t that she wouldn’t give them any, but that they would have to wait. Stella Sterling announced that when they were sent out on missions, they would naturally be issued weapons as well.
Alternatively, they could also be issued a gun if they submitted a request for a special reason and it was approved.
No one expressed any dissatisfaction. They all felt the decision was perfectly reasonable; after all, they had only just joined, so Sterling’s choice was logical.
Besides, since they would be issued guns whenever they went out, what was there to complain about? This was a asure to ensure their safety to the greatest possible extent.
Stella Sterling then turned to the logistics personnel. "You may be in logistics, but there are no weaklings in Caeluna. From now on, you will train like everyone else in your spare ti."
"If you perform well, you can also receive a gun. Everyone in Caeluna Base must be capable of combat."
Her words thrilled the dozen or so people in that group. They had never even considered the possibility for themselves and were stunned that Sterling had thought of them.
Another cheer erupted from the crowd.
Once they had cald down a bit, Stella Sterling addressed those who had received guns. "I have given you these guns, but I want you to rember that they are for fighting our enemies, not our own people. Use them with caution."
"From now on, after you use your weapon, you will return and register its usage at the Armory. As long as it was a legitimate use, the ammunition you expended will be replenished."
Now that the guns had been issued, a system needed to be established to manage them. There had to be clear regulations for their use and distribution in the future.
After she finished speaking, Stella Sterling issued a decree. From that day forward, Caeluna would establish an Armory. All weapons would be stored there, under the managent of Stephen Lawrence, who would be assisted by Julian Fletcher and Seven Locke.
The three n whose nas were called were pleasantly surprised.
Stephen Lawrence took it in stride. Within Caeluna, his status was second only to Sterling’s, so no one was surprised that she would entrust him with managing sothing so important.
Stephen Lawrence was still slightly thrilled and happy inside. He had once been just an ordinary man, but it was only because he had followed Sterling that he’d co this far.
Julian Fletcher and Seven Locke, on the other hand, were far more shocked. They had never expected Sterling to make such a decision.
If so many people hadn’t been watching, the two of them would have shouted for joy.
They looked at Stella Sterling with gratitude.
The others looked on, their gazes filled with envy for the two of them.
It was clear that Sterling intended to groom the two of them for greater responsibilities.
"Furthermore, from now on, Caeluna must be more active in the outside world. We will be gathering all kinds of intelligence, especially information regarding top-tier talent. This task will fall to Shane Lawrence, with Black Swan assisting."
"Everyone, starting today, Caeluna sets sail. Prepare to embrace the glory that awaits you!"
