Now reading: Chapter 173: Yang Leo from Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive, a Sci-fi novel by FlamingHorse.

Everyone in that corridor was left with their mouths almost hitting the floor from the shock. How could soone disappear into thin air in front of them?

They all felt as if they had seen a deity. No human being could have such an ability.

The quiet youth wanting to know what had just happened moved closer to Ye Xuan and finally introduced himself.

"Hello, my na is Yang Leo. If I may ask, how did your companion disappear into thin air?" Yang Leo was an associate professor at the physics school of A University.

He had graduated two years ago and was hired because of his excellent results and clean reputation. He was dedicated to his work and didn’t like associating with people too much, which was why he didn’t have many friends.

He lived with his parents and younger sister who was fifteen years old. Their family had not been well-off since he was young as his parents were white-collar workers with average salaries.

They only moved to this high-end neighborhood after he had worked as an associate professor for more than a year and saved so money.

He also took a loan from the bank to add to his savings so that he could afford an apartnt in the community. He wanted to give his parents a better life since they had worked hard to raise him and his sister.

He had not expected that, not long after moving to the apartnt, the apocalypse would start.

But he was grateful that it hadn’t begun while they were still living in their old house, otherwise, things might have been bad.

Ye Xuan looked at this young man who was almost the sa age as him. He had noticed him the first ti when he spoke up for him and Chu Miao when those unreasonable people blocked their way.

He had also noticed earlier that when that person said the child was mutating into a zombie, everyone else ran, but this Yang Leo remained where he was.

He was soone who could think on their own without following the crowd and also had so sense of loyalty and justice. He was worth recruiting later.

He could also feel the energy fluctuations from him, which ant that he was a superpower user as well. He just couldn’t tell what his ability was.

"She can manipulate space." Ye Xuan finally replied when Yang Leo thought that he was ignoring him.

"Manipulate space. You an she can teleport?" Yang Leo asked after thinking about the implications of manipulating space for a while.

As a physics professor, things like speed, space, gravity were concepts that could be explained by various theories. So he easily accepted the possibility of soone teleporting.

The rest of the people around them, however, found it difficult to understand how a full-grown human being could move from one place to another without walking.

That ability was seen as a miracle. And thanks to this ’miracle’, the parents of the mutating boy had more confidence in what Chu Miao said and believed even more that their son would be fine.

The truth was, they just wanted sothing tangible to help them hold on to their faith. If they had no reliance, they knew that they would crambled. So, attaching their faith in teleportation made it easier for them to hold on.

The person who had been plastered to the wall by Ye Xuan had co down at so point and was looking at him with a murderous look.

He was indignant and wanted to take revenge, but he knew that he wasn’t his match. Since he heard them saying they were going to get the girl’s mother, he decided to take revenge on her.

If he hurt the mother, at least he would have gotten so comfort.

This man had repented and blad others for his misfortune without thinking about how he had ended up in that situation. Wasn’t it because he had wanted to harm an innocent child?

Now that he couldn’t do anything to Ye Xuan or Chu Miao, he was planning to hurt her mother, whom he assud couldn’t protect herself.

He was the definition of those fearing the strong and bullying the weak. Ye Xuan, of course could feel that gaze but he didn’t take the man seriously.

Soone at the first level of superpower couldn’t do anything to him even if he just stood there. Not to ntion now that he was a cultivator as well, superpower users, even if the sa level as him could not threaten him.

"What was the superpower you just used to attack that man?" Yang Leo could not help but ask. He hadn’t felt any energy fluctuations that superpower users normally had. So, he had been wondering what Ye Xuan had used.

"I didn’t activate my superpower. He’s too weak." Ye Xuan replied.

Of course, he couldn’t tell him that he had used spiritual energy and not superpower. Cultivation still needed to be kept a secret at this ti, so he couldn’t tell a stranger about it.

Yang Leo didn’t completely believe him, but he had no other explanation. So, he accepted the one given.

Yang Leo had wanted to join their team for a long ti because he could see that following them would help him get stronger and protect his family.

Up to this mont, he had not found a good opportunity to talk to them and state his request. Now was a good ti, but there were too many people around them.

He decided to ask if he could join them once the boy had been treated.

Chu Miao had teleported to the living room of their apartnt then flashed into the soul ring. She had already used her divine sense when she was downstairs to check what was happening and found that her mother was already out of seclusion.

She was milking goats at the milking stand that had been built by Chu Mo and Butler Cheng.

Chu Miao had co to realize that her mother liked the peaceful atmosphere in the soul ring and would spend ti injecting wood energy into plants and vegetables to accelerate their growth and increase their vitality or look after the animals they brought in.
