He walked from behind his wife and bowed deeply towards Mother Chu and Chu Miao, "Thank you so much for your help. If you need anything from in the future, even if it is sacrificing half of my life, please just ask. I will not hesitate." His voice was hoarse from emotions and you could hear it crack a little as if he was suppressing a sob.

For a man to reveal such emotions, it was obvious how much his son ant to him.

"Please don’t do that. Your son is fighting for his life himself. I only assisted a little." Mother Chu didn’t feel like she had done anything significant. The amount of spiritual energy she had used was almost negligible. It was the boy’s efforts that saved his life.

However, Li Wan and her husband didn’t think so. They knew that without that little effort she ntioned, their son would have died. So, they didn’t take it for granted. They were people who knew how to be grateful.

They vowed in their hearts that if the Chu family needed them in the future, they would not hesitate.

Upon seeing the boy return to normal, the people who were there to watch the show dispersed and only Li Wan, her husband, and son remained as well as Yang Leo.

Yang Leo was actually quite surprised that the child could be saved. But witnessing this scene, his resolve to join their team beca even more resolute. It seems that in this family, no one was simple. No matter how they looked or their age, they were not to be underestimated.

Seeing that the irrelevant people had left, he walked up to Mother Chu and saluted her.

"Hello auntie, my na is Yang Leo and I live on the twelfth floor." He introduced himself to mother Chu and the others.

He had already introduced himself to Ye Xuan, but he felt that it was necessary to introduce himself again.

"Hello Yang Leo." Mother Chu replied with a smile. He likes this young man who was polite even though he looked aloof.

"Mom, let’s go back. There’s sothing I need to give to Ah Xuan. I’ll co ho as soon as I give it to him." Chu Miao said once she saw that everything was settled.

Yang Leo knew that he had to make his request now before these people disappeared into thin air and he wouldn’t know how to find them. Since there was no power anymore, the group chat for their building no longer worked. Finding soone who wasn’t on the sa floor was difficult, especially since the upper floors were inaccessible.

"I would like to make a presumptuous request please." Yang Leo blurted out when he realized that they might teleport away any second.

Chu Miao stopped talking and turned to look at Yang Leo. She had a good impression of him and wanted to hear what he wanted to request.

"What’s your request?" It was Chu Hao who asked the question.

Taking a deep breath to steady his inner turmoil, Yang Leo opened his mouth and said, "I would like to join your team."

When he said this, he didn’t have much hope because he had realized that compared to these people, his strength was diocre. But he had to take a gamble.

What if they agreed? For his family, he would do anything.

"Why?" Chu Miao asked. She had indeed thought of recruiting him, but she didn’t expect him to also want to join them.

"In this current world, working alone is not feasible for survival. I have a family I want to protect. My parents and little sister don’t have much strength.

If I keep working alone, I won’t achieve much. So, I thought I should join a team as there is strength in numbers.

There is a team that has been ford in our building with the building manager as the leader. They have only gone out to scavenge for supplies twice, but both tis when they ca back so people were missing.

They said that they were ambushed by zombies, but the truth was that they ran and abandoned their teammates as soon as they faced danger. They thought that with fewer people, the supplies they got would increase.

I don’t want to join such a team. I believe that I can make so contributions to your team and in return, I can collect enough supplies for my family and also protect them." Yang Leo was straightforward and didn’t hide his thoughts.

He knew that people like the ones in front of him didn’t need flattery. He just needed to speak the truth. And indeed, his gamble had paid.

Chu Miao was also straightforward. Since the person had stated his expectations and didn’t hide his intentions, she accepted him directly.

"What is your superpower?" She asked as she could feel the energy fluctuations around him.

"Telekinesis." Yang Leo replied and at the sa ti, a thick stick that had been left on the floor a few ters away from him flew to his hands.

Indeed, he could move things with his mind. Seeing this, both Chu Miao and Ye Xuan thought that his superpower could be useful.

They looked at each other and Chu Miao turned around and smiled as she said, "Welco to the team, Yang Leo."

Yang Leo was overjoyed. He had not expected everything to go so smoothly. Indeed, strong people didn’t need so many excuses. They accepted him and he didn’t say many words, he just promised in his heart to work harder and contribute to the team.

Li Wan who had been watching and listening to the whole exchange also plucked her courage and also stated her request.

"Miss, can our family join you too? My husband and I don’t have superpowers, but we can do any duties given to us. We are also not afraid to go out and kill zombies.

Even without superpowers, we can fight." Li Wan had a serious expression on her face and her husband was the sa. They were indeed not afraid to fight. She and her husband had already gone out twice before to look for supplies because they were afraid that their son would starve to death.
