"That’s a great idea. Everyone will think that after splitting the supplies everyone only got a few. So, they won’t be too brazen." Zhao Lu for the first ti showed an overwheld expression. It looked like his emotions were on overdrive.

"Alright, big brother, get the supplies. I have to go to their house and assess the place so that when I teleport while bringing at and vegetables I don’t go to the wrong place." She added with a laugh.

After completing their short eting, Chu Miao went out to wait for her brother who was storing the other supplies.

Standing outside with Ye Xuan, they started talking about their mission the next day.

"What ti are we going to pick up Qi Long tomorrow?" Chu Miao asked while leaning against the wall outside Chichi’s apartnt.

Ye Xuan standing in front of her replied with a gentle voice, "They should be leaving the base early. Even though it is on significantly higher grounds, there should still be so flood.

I don’t think their plan to drive will work, but since they have already sent the coordinates of the place we are supposed to et, we can just go there earlier."

"Are you worried about so issues?" Chu Miao asked as she sensed that him going so early had more to it than ets the eye.

"The military leaders are no longer trustworthy. With Qi Long requesting discharge from the army while the leaders see them as their personal fighting force, it might bring resentnt and so undesirable actions." Ye Xuan explained his concerns.

His concerns were not in vain. The military leaders were using their soldiers as weapons to fight for power instead of finding a solution for the citizens.

"Okay, we can use the small yacht my grandfather bought. It will be faster navigating these flood waters that have increased so much." Chu Miao offered what little help she could.

She hoped that they could arrive earlier and if anything happens, they could protect the new mbers. She had deep respect for soldiers who are dedicated to serving their country and upholding their oath.

After Chu Hao ca out, they helped the two others carry their supplies to their houses. From there the three people including the Chu siblings and Ye Xuan teleported to the nineteenth floor in Ye Xuan’s apartnt.

It was Chu Hao’s first ti in Ye Xuan’s apartnt but wasn’t overly polite. He sat down and asked his sister to divide the at and take out so vegetables for the others.

Chu Miao couldn’t be bothered with him and asked him to go ho if he had nothing better to do. After all, everything needed was with her in the soul ring.

She used her consciousness to locate the cooling boxes she had ntioned and filled them with different types of at, both fresh and marinated. She also added pieces of fish head for the soup she had talked about earlier.

Once the coolers were full, she brought them out and placed them on the floor. She then started filling so baskets with vegetables such as cabbage, radish, carrots, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and eggplants.

There were other varieties but she only provided these few to avoid more suspicion. She filled so other baskets with fruits including strawberries and gooseberries.

Once she was done, she had Chu Hao put them in his space as she stood up.

"I’ll take him to deliver the food then I’ll be back in a mont." Chu Miao said to Ye Xuan before leaving.

She was only leaving for a few minutes so she didn’t even wait for his reply. As soon as Chu Hao placed all the baskets and coolers in the space, she grabbed him and teleported to the sixteenth floor where Zhao Lu lived.

Knocking on the door, it was as if the people inside were waiting for them as it was opened imdiately by Li Wan.

She was smiling from ear to ear and one could hear her son’s laughter. It looked like he had survived and was doing well.

The truth was Li Wan had indeed been waiting at the door since Zhao Lu ca back and said that Chu Miao would bring them at and vegetables.

It wasn’t because she was eager for these things but she wanted to thank her for saving their son. She was well aware that if it hadn’t been for Chu Miao and her mother, her son would have turned into a mindless flesh-eating creature.

She couldn’t imagine her son like that and she knew that she would have chosen to kill him herself so that he doesn’t harm others and she and her husband would have followed their son.

So, she was extrely grateful to the Chu family because they didn’t just save their son, they saved their entire family.

Looking at Chu Miao at the door, a huge smile appeared on her face as she stood aside to welco them.

"Co on in. Little Ji has recovered and would like to thank you in person for helping him." Li Wan said with a smile.

She was indeed happy. With her son recovering and her husband coming back with so many supplies, it was a blessing in disguise.

Chu Miao walked in and expressed that they had to deliver supplies to the other families and couldn’t stay. Moreover, it wasn’t necessarily to thank her specifically.

"We are a team now. Your problems are our problems as well. No need for thanks." She comnted as she motioned for her brother to unload the Zhao family’s share.

"I still have to thank you and your mother. We were not related in any way when you chose to help. So, our family should be grateful." Li Wan insisted.

She had a clear idea of how selfish people had beco. She had run out of fever reducers and pain killers when her son’s fever refused to subside even after a day and a night.

She didn’t just run to the top floors to seek help, she had probably gone to every floor but nobody offered help, apart from Yang Leo’s house where his mother said the pain killers and fever reducers in their house were not fit for children.
