Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive Chapter 540: Plans for the Future
"I used to bla your grandfather for teaching you from a young age that a general protects the weak. So, you grew up thinking that you are a general who needs to protect others.
I thought that habit had been kicked after the truck accident thing. But it seems you have been the sa regardless of which lifeti you live." Mother Chu felt defeated by this daughter.
Chu Miao didn’t refute her mother. She was indeed always bothered when she couldn’t help others. And in this case, these could be considered her own people.
Chu Miao thought about her plans to leave earth once the apocalypse ended and realized that she couldn’t hide it from her family.
Her mother knew her too well. She had probably noticed sothing amiss already.
"Mom, what would you say if one day I decide to leave?" She asked cautiously.
"Leave? Leave where?" Mother Chu didn’t exactly understand the question, so she asked for clarification.
"I an leaving this world..." Chu Miao hadn’t finished her sentence when her mother widened her eyes in shock.
"Sweetheart, even if the deaths of those people have affected you, you shouldn’t take it so hard." Mother Chu said urgently as she grabbed Chu Miao ’s hand.
Chu Miao realized that her mother had misunderstood her aning.
"No no no mother. That’s not what I ant." Chu Miao imdiately corrected her mother before she went on a tirade about how life was precious and stuff like that.
She used to listen to those speeches all the ti when her mother was doing charity work.
"I was saying that, if I chose to go to a different realm. With cultivation and everything that has happened, you must have already realized that earth is probably the lowest plane there is that humans can live on.
Since I have a mission here, I have to finish it before I am able to ascend. However, I was thinking that once my mission is complete, as cultivators, it’s going to be challenging to live among ordinary humans.
So, we should probably go to a place where we can advance our cultivation quickly." Chu Miao hurriedly explained her thoughts.
Mother Chu examined her daughter and sighed once more.
Chu Miao might indeed want to go to a place where she can further her cultivation. But the real reason she was thinking about it so much now and even talking about it was because the deaths of those people had affected her.
She must be thinking that if they were all cultivators, then they could have had a way to save themselves.
Human lives were too fragile and her heart couldn’t handle the loss.
"If you want to go, you can go, honey." How could Mother Chu hold her precious daughter back? Especially knowing that she was hurting inside.
"Would you like to co with us?" Chu Miao asked.
She just couldn’t force her family to leave earth just because she wanted to go back to the Immortal Realm. Earth is all they ever knew and leaving might be challenging.
So, she needed their consent.
"Of course, our family will always be together. No matter where you want to go. We will go with you." A deep and mature voice ca from the door.
"Daddy." Chu Miao smiled at the sight of her father who had just entered the RV.
She hadn’t seen him since the battle began.
Now looking at him, his aura had beco sharper than before and it was also stronger.
Obviously, he had made a small breakthrough in this battle.
"Hello may dear. Wherever you want to go, just say the word and our whole family will follow.
What is most important for us, especially after experiencing the apocalypse, is being together as a family." Chu Mo said as he rubbed his daughter’s head just like he always did since she was young.
"Whichever world you decide to explore, count Grandpa Li in." Another older and wiser voice ca from the door.
As it turned out, her grandfather, father, grandpa Li, the Butler, and a few others who had co from the Soul Ring had arrived earlier and heard Chu Miao’s discussion with her mother.
They felt bad for the burden she had to carry at such a young age and supporting her unconditionally was the only way they knew to comfort her.
Chu Miao looked at the small living room that was now crowded by people who cared about her and supported her and a smile grew on her sad face.
"Thank you everyone. Then we have to work harder to end the apocalypse so that we can go sowhere better for cultivators.
I promise you, you won’t regret it." Chu Miao said with a bright smile.
Just then, footsteps were heard outside.
Gu Fan knocked on the door lightly before pushing it open and entering.
"Sister-in-law, Liang Wei has sent the preliminary report." He said directly.
"How many?" Chu Miao asked as the smile slipped from her face, reverting back to the serious leader she was.
Gu Fan took a deep breath then said, "A little over three thousand confird recruits. Quite a good number of them are awakened survivors with different types of superpowers. About eight hundred of them.
The others are survivors who insisted on joining the sect and following Boss.
But, casualties were also unavoidable." He lowered his voice as he said the last sentence.
Chu Miao closed her eyes briefly again before opening them.
"Prepare to register them. They can join the sect directly once we go back." She ordered.
These survivors had been through a lot and she didn’t want to make them go through more tiring bureaucracies.
"Alright, I will go and start right away." Gu Fan accepted the mission and left.
After Gu Fan left, Chu Miao leaned back again and her gaze drifted into nothing.
She looked inward and found the nascent soul sitting in the sa ditation posture as before.
Even so, its posture was not as stiff as before.
It seed to have heard Chu Miao’s conversation with her mother.
Chu Miao hesitated for a mont before speaking inwardly.
"I won’t abandon you again."
The nascent soul said nothing, but the slightly turbulent spiritual sea around it cald down.
