The shops across the street had caught fire from an earlier explosion and were now in ruins. Tragically, you could still see the figures of zombies in the dark wreckage, their arms chanically waving from beneath the debris.
Those zombies seed harmless, but if you got too close, there was still a risk of being bitten. You must handle them with care; danger lurks everywhere.
"We’ll head across the street first, then make our way slowly towards the gas station, and act according to the situation!"
Zhang Su turned to the others and, after speaking, lifted the barrier and gestured for them to move.
Once outside the community, Zhang Su was on high alert, nervously scanning all directions. After confirming the situation nearby, he waved to the group and took the lead, heading for the street.
The street in front of Phoenix International was considered a main urban road, with eight lanes in both directions. Even with many accident vehicles blocking the way, it was still passable.
The cars with their hoods raised high were clearly no longer usable; so even had hoods that had flown off.

From a distance, it wasn’t apparent, but upon closer inspection, many zombies were trapped and unable to escape due to the vehicular wreckage. This imdiately quashed Zhang Su’s plan to search the vehicles.
After the little episode, the five of them successfully crossed the street and took temporary shelter in a burnt-down car wash.
"A car wash can catch fire too?"
Lu Yubo was puzzled by the charred plastic drainage boards on the ground.
"It’s clear the fire spread from the side, and the water’s out..." Zhang Su explained, then led the group in a rough inspection. Only after confirming there were no zombies hidden did they relax.
The car wash was just over a hundred ters away from the gas station in a straight line, but they couldn’t see inside the gas station due to the angle.
"Soone!"
While peering towards the gas station, Zhang Su suddenly whispered before ducking behind the charred wall.
"Who is it?"
Zheng Xinyu instinctively asked.
Zhang Su made a gesture for silence, and within two seconds, he frowned because he heard footsteps approaching them; those guys had obviously discovered them!
