A mont later, Zhang Su led the woman to the living room to sit down. Her hand clutched a tissue, sobbing like a mistreated little wife.

She was still wearing a set of silk pajamas, with her slightly long wavy hair cascading over her shoulders. Her slender and curvy figure was one that n admired and won envied, and she exuded a pleasant fragrance of perfu.

Her skin was well-maintained, but her deanor suggested she was around thirty, akin to what’s commonly called a "young mature woman."

"Well, you two are amazing, you actually killed the monster in the corridor. Can I ask what happened?"

The woman asked her puzzled question, sincerely admiring Zhang Su and Zheng Xinyu. Watching them fight the monster earlier almost scared her witless.

Zhang Su kept a stern face: "Stop trying to find out what’s happening. First tell us your story!"

He didn’t want to deal with this woman, but if he let her ss around further, the commotion might attract zombies from even farther floors!

"Handso... I, I am..."

The woman hesitated as soon as she spoke, seemingly having an unspeakable secret.

Seeing the woman’s hesitation, Zhang Su felt irritated again and sneered, "Actually I’ve got nothing to say to you. Just go back and don’t make a noise. Those monsters locate by sound!"

With that, he waved his hand to drive her away.

"Don’t, don’t, big brother, handso..."

The woman hastily waved her hands when she saw Zhang Su’s displeased expression, quickly stood up, grabbed his arm, and forced a coquettish smile.

"Don’t touch , tell your na and age, what you do. I rember 802 was supposed to be vacant, where did you co from?"

Zhang Su withdrew his hand, uninterested in the woman’s sticky pretense. It’s a different matter when he takes the initiative.

"I, I’m Zhong Xiaoshan, 29 this year, I was... I an..." Seeing Zhang Su’s face darken, Zhong Xiaoshan quickly said, "I was a nurse at the Third Hospital, now, now I’m a private nurse..."

Her voice got softer as she spoke, clearly guilty.

"Private nurse?"

Zhang Su squinted slightly, a smile tugging at his lips: "Sounds high-end, but you’re a mistress, right? Xiaoshan, Xiaoshan, you sure live up to your na!"

"Pfft..."

Zheng Xinyu didn’t expect that guy Zhang Su to be so harsh, puffing her cheeks as she tried to hold back her laughter.

"Haha..."

Zhong Xiaoshan laughed awkwardly.

"Is 802 your place or the house of the person you care for?" Zhang Su continued questioning.

Since they were already this far, Zhong Xiaoshan didn’t hold back and replied frankly: "It’s Director Hu’s house, this is my first ti here..."

Talking about this, Zhong Xiaoshan felt extrely frustrated. Her first ti here coincided with this monstrous chaos, really making her head spin.

"Is the Director Hu you ntioned around fifty, tall and thin, with glasses that have a heavy prescription?"

Zhang Su lit a cigarette, looking at Zhong Xiaoshan through the smoke.

"Director Hu doesn’t wear glasses, handso, are you mistaking him?"

Zhong Xiaoshan was slightly puzzled and replied.

Zhang Su nodded subtly, knowing that the man seen earlier was probably the Director Hu Zhong Xiaoshan talked about. He had intentionally ntioned glasses to test the woman.

"Maybe, where’s Director Hu now?"

"Yesterday afternoon, Old Hu gave the keys, asking to co over and wait for him. But then he called in the evening saying sothing urgent at the hospital required him to work overti, working the whole night. When I got up, I couldn’t contact him anymore..."

As they conversed back and forth, Zhong Xiaoshan’s emotions stabilized greatly. She subconsciously tried to cross her legs, but seeing the man opposite her, she reluctantly retracted her fair legs.

"So you were planning to co here and have a fling, but ended up trapped here instead, right?"

Zhang Su looked at Zhong Xiaoshan playfully.

"No... it’s really care, not a fling..."

Zhong Xiaoshan’s expression was odd, finding the term bizarre.

"Handso, what’s really going on? The internet’s gone, the water’s gone, and there are so many creatures biting people, just like a zombie movie. It’s terrifying."

Speaking, Zhong Xiaoshan crossed her arms over her chest, slightly squeezing.

Zheng Xinyu watched the very feminine Zhong Xiaoshan and pouted secretly. She had felt so sympathy for the woman, thinking she’d be helpless facing the disaster alone, but seeing her coquettish behavior now, she found it rather annoying!

Zhang Su calmly looked at Zhong Xiaoshan: "Sis, don’t squeeze. At this critical mont, who has ti to look at that? Is it going to block zombies?"

Pfft...

Zheng Xinyu finally couldn’t hold back her laughter, quickly shutting her lips, but still chuckled, giving Zhong Xiaoshan, who didn’t know where to place her hands, a peculiar look, secretly thinking Zhang Su was too wicked.

"Didn’t you say it’s like a zombie movie? We also think it’s a zombie virus outbreak. As for where the virus ca from, why it erupted, how it spreads, we don’t know either. We’re just in a confusing ss!"

Zhang Su shrugged, speaking sowhat helplessly.

"Then... do you know the scope of this zombie virus infection? I see everything around us is chaotic, could it be affecting the entire Port District?"

Zhong Xiaoshan asked nervously.

Zhang Su licked his lips and took a sip of water, "Prepare yourself ntally. The scope of the outbreak is not just limited to the Port District."

"Ah..."

Zhong Xiaoshan gasped in disbelief, "Does it an the entire Qin City..."

Zhang Su nodded without saying much more. If it weren’t for Zheng Xinyu’s phone briefly reconnecting to the internet and the nurous worldwide netizens, he wouldn’t know the current situation.

Knowing doesn’t an sharing.

"No wonder after all this ti, I’ve only heard two police car sirens and two waves of helicopters. Turns out the whole Qin City is in chaos..."

Zhong Xiaoshan clutched her nightgown, her face growing paler, leaning weakly against the sofa, her expression turning ashen. So answers were already in her heart, just unwilling to admit them, needing others to spill the truth for her to face reality.

"Your observation is very attentive."

Zhang Su thought to himself, you’re pretty good for hearing police sirens twice. I haven’t heard even once.

"Thankfully my parents are in the countryside, with a lower population density, probably safer..." Zhong Xiaoshan muttered to herself, almost questioning Zhang Su and Zheng Xinyu.

Zhang Su waved his hand: "Miss Zhong, what needs to be said has been said. Your parents’ situation is for you to find out."

"Well, you guys..." Zhong Xiaoshan realized Zhang Su was dismissing her, but she didn’t rise, her eyes flicking to the instant al box in the trash, swallowing a bit.

"Do you have anything to eat? I want to buy so, if possible. Frankly, I haven’t eaten in a long ti."

To maintain a good figure, Zhong Xiaoshan stuck to two nutritious als daily, with carefully planned diets — essentially bird food. She hadn’t eaten for 27 hours since yesterday.
