Zhang Su watched Zheng Xinyu scurry away, knowing what she was thinking. Since she had no opinions of her own, she wouldn’t randomly express them. That was good enough.
Zhong Xiaoshan, kneeling on the ground, stared hard at Zhang Su. She fully understood the situation now; the man in front of her was her lifeline.
"Brother, handso guy!" Zhong Xiaoshan scooted over and clung to Zhang Su’s leg, looking up at him pitifully. "Handso guy, please save . As long as you let have a al, I’ll agree to anything. I can sleep with you!"
Zhang Su was speechless. If this person had any principles, she was willing to give up almost everything for food. But if she had no principles, she still knew to say this away from others.
"In this situation, who has the mood for that? Get up and take to your place. If there’s anything worth trading, I can give you sothing to eat!"
Zhang Su pulled the woman up and made a gesture to walk.
He liked won, and he wasn’t particularly faithful. Having been through much, won had limited appeal to him, especially in this apocalyptic crisis.
"Well, okay."
Hearing Zhang Su wanted to go to her place, Zhong Xiaoshan looked strange, her eyes evasive as if wanting to refuse, but she swallowed her words and slowly headed for the door.
"Xinyu, I’ll go check out opposite for anything useful. Open the door for in a while."
Zhang Su pushed open Zheng Xinyu’s bedroom door and said.
"Ah... No, I’ll go with you guys!"
Zheng Xinyu was sitting on the floor, unpacking bizarre gifts from fans. Hearing Zhang Su’s words, she sprang up.
Being left alone in the room was too terrifying!
Zhang Su shrugged noncommittally, saying, "Bring a weapon."
Knowing Zheng Xinyu was also going, Zhong Xiaoshan looked even more uncomfortable, repeatedly waving her hand in embarrassnt. "Um, pretty lady, you, you don’t have to go. Actually, there’s not much, let the handso guy go alone."
Zhang Su’s brow twitched, suspecting Zhong Xiaoshan wanted to get Zheng Xinyu out of the way, possibly planning a big ’care session’ in room 802. The question was, should he accept it?
Coincidentally, Zheng Xinyu had the sa suspicion, thinking Zhong Xiaoshan wasn’t up to any good. She secretly glanced at Zhang Su, trying to gauge his thoughts, but Zhang Su seed lost in thought and didn’t react!
Feeling a pang of disappointnt, she cursed inwardly: n really do think with their lower bodies. With a dejected tone, she said, "You guys go. I won’t."
"Co back, we’re all going together!"
Zhang Su grabbed the retreating Zheng Xinyu and demanded sternly, "Why are you listening to her? Listen to , understand?"
A person with no opinions is indeed easily swayed. Zhang Su made a ntal note to constantly instill the idea of "listen to " in her.
"Oh, oh, okay!"
Zheng Xinyu felt a glimr of hope, flashing a rare smile as she grabbed a baseball bat and trotted along behind.
They may have been talking about the sa thing, but their thoughts were on entirely different wavelengths.
The three of them left room 801. After Zhang Su repeatedly confird he had the key, he gently closed the door.
The short distance was brief. As they passed the zombie corpse, Zhang Su felt Zheng Xinyu’s slight grip, likely still not fully accustod. But what surprised him was Zhong Xiaoshan, who walked ahead without any discomfort.
When they exited, Zhong Xiaoshan hadn’t closed the door; once inside, they softly closed it.
"When it was alive, it scared you to death, but once it’s smashed into a bloody pulp, you’re not afraid?"
Walking into the room, Zhang Su asked Zhong Xiaoshan.
"I, I really was a nurse before. In the hospital, I’ve seen many horrific accident victims, so more dreadful than the one at the door. As you said, while alive, the zombie was flesh-eating, terrifying; once a corpse, it’s safer..."
Zhang Su found so truth in Zhong Xiaoshan’s words. With arms missing and heads cracked, they were sent to the hospital; she’d long been immune to such sights.
Zhong Xiaoshan then pointed to the room and said, "Feel free to take what you need; I, uh, just want so food."
"This place is really bare..."
Zheng Xinyu curiously looked around. The phrase "bare walls" depicted it perfectly. The space allocated for a shoe cabinet near the entrance was empty, with just a pair of shoes and an exposed electric box on the floor.
A couple of chairs stood against the living room wall, cluttered with various items, while a broom and dustpan leaned in a corner, and the curtains were tightly drawn.
"Damn it, even a thief would leave five bucks before leaving..."
Zhang Su didn’t linger in the living room, heading straight to the kitchen. It was much the sa, even more absurd as the gas wasn’t connected. Forget storage, the cabinets were nonexistent. Like a raw apartnt, so bare even cockroaches wouldn’t co here.
"Th-things are in the bedroom..."
Seeing Zhang Su’s grim expression erging from the kitchen, Zhong Xiaoshan pointed to the only room with a door.
"You’re really realistic. Even if it’s just a care room, you’d think they’d decorate a bit, damn, this is..."
Zhang Su muttered as he walked towards the room Zhong Xiaoshan indicated, the open door revealing everything inside. A battle-hardened Zhang Su couldn’t help but exclaim.
"You guys sure know how to play!"
The only furnished room in the entire apartnt was the bedroom. The peach-colored the tantalized one’s nerves, with a large round bed in the center. The ceiling featured not just luxurious lights but several hooks.
An indoor swing and a net suspended from above, holding so new, packaged care tools with eye-catching images.
A moderately sized vanity stood in a corner, cluttered with bags, water, keys, and other items.
Hearing Zhang Su’s astonishnt, Zheng Xinyu quickly joined him. Upon seeing the room and the array of ’weapons’ scattered on the floor, even she, who often joked bawdily, blushed.
"This is intense!"
Zheng Xinyu raised her hand to her mouth, giving Zhong Xiaoshan an odd look.
"Director Hu had so issues in that area. He specially renovated it for therapeutic purposes. Unfortunately, before any treatnt..."
Zhong Xiaoshan expected their reaction, her face showing an embarrassed smile as she explained.
"Physical stimulation therapy... really sothing. But I’m not concerned with that. If I can’t find anything useful, I’m sorry, but tough luck."
Zhang Su walked into the room and flicked on the light. Unbidden, images from Wu Lue’s computer flashed through his mind, causing a warm sensation in his lower abdon. But the idea of the zombie horde outside emptied his desires.
