"Brother Su, where are you going? Wait for !"

"Cough, cough... Buddy, you really are sothing. Don't forget if there's sothing good going on, wait up!"

Soon, the voices of Lu Yubo and Zhao Dezhu echoed from the room. They had been playing poker with Wang Xin when they heard the news and rushed out.

"Buddy, what happened? I was just talking to Qingqing at a crucial mont, it's really frustrating."

In the courtyard, Zhao Dezhu asked in a low voice.

Wang Xin also ran out, looking at the group nervously.

Zhang Su spread his hands. "I found a small problem. It's better if I go alone; having too many people around might alert them!"

He didn't make up any random excuses, knowing that those around him wouldn't believe any nonsense and it would backfire.

The commotion wasn't small; in no ti, more heads popped out from behind the doors.

Everyone's nerves had been taut from the constant travel, and even the slightest disturbance made them anxious.

"Is there really sothing going on?"

"Buddy, wait while I grab the gear!"

Initially, the two thought Zheng Xinyu was joking, but realizing there was actual trouble, they got tense.

"I said I'll go by myself. Rember, act like you know nothing. If you give us away, it's on you two! Disperse, everyone disperse, and rest. I'll let you know if anything cos up!"

With that, Zhang Su started heading towards the courtyard door.

"Hey, what's this got to do with us? The two ladies are the ones saying it!"

"Damn... what's Brother Su planning to do? Zhuzi, sneak after him and take a look."

Lu Yubo watched Zhang Su quickly disappear into the darkness, feeling both curious and worried.

"Screw you, why don't you go!"

Zhao Dezhu gave Lu Yubo a push and looked in the direction Zhang Su left, seeing nothing now.

"Co on, co on, Brother Su told us not to ss around. Don't cause trouble, let's go back and continue playing poker..."

Having spent so ti together, Wang Xin sort of understood Lu Yubo and Zhao Dezhu and, afraid of their impulsiveness, quickly dragged them inside.

Zhang Su couldn't possibly take others with him. While the night seed pitch black to others, it was like daylight to him, capturing every scene as if it were broad daylight.

All he needed was to move stealthily, and no one could detect his whereabouts, making it incredibly convenient. Bringing soone else would be utterly unnecessary.

Earlier, he had clearly seen Zu ng and Zu Tong sneak out of their inn and, after so detours, enter Qingfeng Xiaozhu, the cheapest place to stay.

The little building was completely dark, showing no signs of anything amiss, but with the way the two sneaked around, no one would believe there wasn't so shady business going on.

Zhang Su didn't believe the Zu siblings went there for anything sleazy; if that were true, wouldn't it be more convenient and safer to do it at the inn he managed?

Why go dozens of ters away in the dark for thrills?

Sticking close to the wall, Zhang Su carefully approached Qingfeng Xiaozhu. When he was four or fifty ters away, he vaguely heard voices ahead, but couldn't discern the details because of the distance.

As he got closer, the voices beca clearer.

"What's there to fear with guns? Once we knock them out, all their weapons beco ours!" said an unfamiliar voice, with a chilly tone.

"Their weapons are not only sophisticated, but the supplies on their car are also quite abundant. I suspect they raided a village along the way, all food!"

This voice, Zhang Su recognized, belonged to Liu Dazhi, the chef who had been cooking for them. Although Liu didn't talk much, Zhang Su's enhanced hearing made his voice unmistakable.

"There's nothing to discuss; they killed my brother, and there's a traitor among them. These people must die!" A sinister voice spoke, loaded with a disregard for life.

Zhang Su's heart skipped a beat at this remark!

Suddenly recalling what Zhang Ya told him, if there were no surprises, the speaker was none other than Liang Xiaocheng. Without ti for deliberation, Zu ng's ensuing words confird his thoughts.

"But... Brother Cheng, there's soone I know in there!" ca Zu ng's voice.

"Soone you know? Who?" yet another unfamiliar voice asked.

"My son's forr horoom teacher, Yuwen, the oldest in their group. He was quite nice to my kid," Zu ng said.

"That doesn't count as knowing soone, kill them all!" The voice paused before continuing, "They killed my brother back then and went to Yihe Car Shop to steal guns. Now all their equipped weapons should belong to us. Brothers, it's ti to upgrade our gear!"

"Brother Cheng, you're impressive."

"We're with you, Brother Cheng!"

Scattered complints arose, and Zhang Su silently counted about ten different voices, both male and female.

"ngzi, are you two siblings hesitant to act? Then leave this to Dazhi and Xiaochen. You two rest, don't assist, but if you dare disrupt my plans, you'll die with them!"

"No, no, Brother Cheng, we wouldn't dare..."

"It's best not to dare. Dachao, take the two of them to the room next door, and don't let them leave even a step! According to the original plan, Dazhi, Xiaochen, tomorrow morning you guys..."

Zhang Su stood in the distance, listening to their plan clearly, then slipped quietly back to the courtyard of Wangshan Inn.

The shocking news was conveyed to everyone, making those who were already sleepy suddenly wide awake!

The zombie horde attacks directly, humans ambush without integrity; everyone felt a chill upon hearing Zhang Su describe Liang Xiaocheng's plan.

"Damn it, we should have checked every room this afternoon!"

Lu Yubo gritted his teeth.

"It's no use, those people are clearly avoiding us. Are you sure they're hiding in Qingfeng Xiaozhu? Could it be that they were in the mountains earlier and just ca back while we were resting at night?"

Zhang Su shook his head. Obviously, they were in the open in the afternoon, while Liang Xiaocheng was hidden.

"You still managed to discover it. Brother Su, you're aweso, haha!"

Wu Lue was very impressed.

Zhang Ya looked at Zhang Su with a strange expression, spread her hands, and said, "Brother Su, I wasn't aware of any of this..."

"I believe you didn't know." Zhang Su nodded, knowing this had nothing to do with Zhang Ya.

"Seems that the guy at the gas station said the inn was here... What a narrow path for enemies!"

Tan Huajun recalled the earlier encounter with Liang Dacheng and his people at the gas station.

Those who knew about that matter also couldn't help but marvel at the coincidence of fate.

Zhang Su had previously thought he wouldn't encounter Liang Xiaocheng again in this life, yet, just when he was about to forget that guy, he popped up!

"Wait a minute..." Qi Xiaoshuai scratched his head, puzzled, pointing outside, "There are so many of them, where are the cars? There wasn't a single car when we arrived."

"Maybe... they broke down on the road, walked here, or they're hidden sowhere, who knows..."

Wang Xin imdiately gave a flimsy explanation.

"Alright, let's not worry about that now! Since we already know their plan, they're going to be unlucky. Tomorrow morning we..."

The next morning, clouds were thick and mist was thin, with everyone waking up slightly late. It wasn't until 8:30 that everyone ca out of the guest rooms, starting to do exercises in the small courtyard, parking lot, and mountain path.

Zhang Su went further down the mountain to check, discovering two zombies wandering the fields on the south of the self-built road, but didn't bother due to the distance.

"Good morning everyone, knotted soup and at buns have arrived!"

Chen Minwen and Liu Dazhi pushed two dining carts slowly from afar, one cart holding a stainless steel canteen soup pot, the other steaming stears.

"Oh wow, we haven't even ordered and the food's already here? Boss Zu sure knows how to run a business! Hey, where's Old ng?"

Breathing in the fresh mountain air, Zhang Su stretched and chatted with the two as they approached.

"Old ng and the others are tidying up, so Dazhi and I ca over to deliver breakfast. You must be hungry, co and try my buns, they won't disappoint."

Chen Minwen warmly invited everyone to the dining room. Liu Dazhi, still with the sa solemn look from yesterday, had a slight smile on his face.

"Alright, let's go, everyone co and try Master Chen's skills!"

Zhang Su invited everyone to head to the dining room.

The farm accommodations on Celestial Horse Island have their own dining areas for guests. So premium rooms are equipped with kitchens for guests to cook on their own, and so have barbecue grills in the garden for atmosphere.

A dozen people gradually took their seats, and soon, steaming tomato knotted soup and at buns were served, with an enticing aroma.

"Enjoy, everyone, we won't disturb your al."

After the rush, Chen Minwen and Liu Dazhi pushed the carts away without lingering.

If the two were observant enough, they would notice one issue: ever since Zhang Su's group arrived on Celestial Horse Island, there has never been a mont when all personnel were gathered in one place; there were always two or three people positioned at different spots as guards.

Yet, at this mont, everyone in the restaurant along with a dog was all present together!

"Damn, isn't this tiring? A whole big pot of knotted soup and they spike it with rat poison, it's inedible, what a waste of food."

Once Liu Dazhi and Chen Minwen pushed the cart away, Zhao Dezhu stirred the knotted soup in his bowl, grumbling.

"Wanna taste one, Good Fortune?" Lu Yubo split a at bun to tease the little dog.

Corgi Good Fortune gave Lu Yubo a human-like side-eye, as if looking at an idiot.

"Ten minutes until the plan starts, think about what each of you needs to do. Damn, these buns are really aromatic!"

Zhang Su split a at bun and sniffed it, raising the bun in his hand, saying, "The filling is really good, hey, does rat poison have no sll?"

Everyone shook their heads, unable to answer that question...
