It turned out that the Lei family was also attacked by these rats and Lei Yan tried to deal with them. But unlike Bai iyue, she had awakened for the first ti. She didn’t know how to control her powers, causing the entire house to be turned upside down.
And it didn’t help that Lei Yan was scared of rats.
"You can deal with zombies but you are scared of rats?" Bai iyue felt amused after she finished listening to Lei Yan.
"Don’t laugh, Sister Yan," Lei Yan whined with a sad look. "They are not normal rats, are they? They are half zombies as well; its really terrifying."
Bai iyue understood what the girl was trying to tell her and her lips twitched even more. She then said to Lei Yan, "Try to deal with the rats manually first. As for using your powers, try to control them slowly."
"For now, just try to kill these rats without using your powers and block whatever opening of pipes is left open or else more rats will co inside."
As she spoke, she sent the theory that she had written to Lei Yan and handed the Lei family a few small guns and sticky traps. She asked, "You can use guns, right?" She didn’t want to beco an accomplice in an indirect murder unless it was Lu Yin’s who was glaring at her as if she had murdered her parents.
"I can," Lei Yan nodded as she took the guns and handed them to her parents, Lu Yu and even Lu Yin. Of course, Lu Yin was not willing, as she grew pampered and thought that it was disgusting to kill rats. However, Lei Yan didn’t care about her likes and dislikes.
If Lu Yin was a pampered princess, then so was she; wasn’t she using her hands to shoot and kill rats? Who was she showing that expression to?
Lei Yan looked at the frowning Lu Yin and sneered, "You better kill at least one rat or else you are sleeping in the corridor tonight! I am not going to let a freeloader stay in my house."
Lu Yin’s face turned pale when she heard the words of Lei Yan. She knew very well that the situation outside was more than just chaotic. The water had receded but in place of it, these man-eating rats have appeared. Those who were living in the corridors were already in danger of being bitten by the zombies but now, with the appearance of the rats, things had turned even more dangerous.
If she was kicked out of the penthouse, then how would she survive? Thus, Lu Yin lowered her head and obediently followed Lei Yan. While Mother Lei and Father Lei thanked Bai iyue for her help before chasing after their daughter.
Bai iyue didn’t care about what happened with the Lei family; she would help them when she could for the sake of them being the blood relatives of her little Cai Cai. But other than that, she wouldn’t go out of her way to suck up to them.
She finished laying down the traps in the corridors and walked inside her house while ignoring the screams that were coming from downstairs.
After entering the house, she checked up on her mother and brothers. They seed to be sleeping peacefully; even her two nephews were deep asleep while hugging their dad. Bai iyue smiled and then walked out of the room before heading to her own.
She changed into a more warm set of clothes and then hurried downstairs, where she filled as many water containers as she could for her family to use. She didn’t want her mother to leave the house with her two brothers in search of food.
She also filled the refrigerator enough to last for three days.
After she was finished with these tasks, she took a flathrower and rushed downstairs.
During the day her family didn’t want to let her go outside because of this, Bai iyue couldn’t go and find Shen Zhen. Although the apocalypse had just started, not everyone was as fortunate as her; she was worried that sothing might happen to Shen Zhen before she could get hold of her.
However, just as she reached downstairs, three n ca charging at her. They were being followed by the mutated rats.
"AHH! You bitch, get away from there—" The man in lead wanted to throw Bai iyue to the rats for the sake of escaping but before he could catch her, Bai iyue raised her hand and shot the three n right at the centre of their foreheads.
Once the n fell down on the stairs, she turned on the flathrower and let the flas rise to life like wild beasts that devoured the n and the rats that were chasing after them.
Bai iyue didn’t turn off the flathrower until it was too hot and the rats and n were turned into a charred ss. Only then did she turn it off and kick down the corpses.
Dozens of mice that were eating the corpses of those who were hurled downstairs by these n were terrified of the high temperature and ran away.
Because Bai iyue did not want these corpses to turn into zombies, she burnt them with her flathrower and then cleaned them up.
Once she reached downstairs, she took out her inflatable boat from her backpack and then rowed it away. However, as she was busy with her own thing, she did not see that there was another boat coming towards the building. And on the boat were none other than Bai Qingshi, Su Hu, and Bai Feng.
With the flashlight in their hands, of course the three n saw Bai iyue row the boat away but none of them stopped her. Bai Qinsghi, who had gone outside to find supplies for himself, looked like he had not washed himself for days.
His hair was a ss and there was blood splattered on his clothes, making him look no worse than a refugee.
Su Hu was in no better condition if anything; he was looking like a bedraggled rat.
Only Bai Feng frowned when he saw Bai iyue leave alone in the middle of the night. He slowed down the motorboat that he had found after a lot of searching and turned to look at his father and Su Hu. However, he was bound to be disappointed, as these n didn’t care about Bai iyue at all!
