Seeing Bai iyue’s appearance, Bai Feng breathed a sigh of relief. At least she was unhard and didn’t seem to be sporting any injuries. As he approached her, he noticed her wary eyes and was slightly startled.
When he saw her last ti, her eyes resembled a newly born fawn. Innocent and naive but after going through what Bai Qingshi and Chu Xia did to her, Bai iyue had beco more and more hostile to him and the rest of the Bai family.
In the past, Bai iyue looked at him with adoration and respect but now she only had vigilance against him.
"What are you doing here?" Bai iyue asked while straightening her neck. "Don’t you think it’s too late for you to co out on a night walk?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Bai Feng couldn’t help but laugh. The entire world had turned upside down and yet Bai iyue was still in the mood to joke with him. He rolled his eyes and an easy smile etched on his lips slowly as he asked Bai iyue, "Why are you here? You should be at ho?"
Bai iyue rubbed her belly as she felt slightly nauseous. Her pregnancy could be considered better than the rest; at least, Little Cai didn’t trouble her most of the ti, but when she pushed herself too much, it was only normal for her to feel sick.
Like right now.
She wanted to throw up because the scent that was wafting off from Bai Feng seed a bit sharp, not to ntion the sll of the zombies and the rotting corpses made her feel like emptying her stomach.
Seeing that she didn’t look too well, Bai Feng said to her, "Go back ho and rest; I will bring what you want." His gaze fell on the zombies that had been killed and the sll that was wafting over to them. Bai Feng understood why Bai iyue was not feeling well and softened his tone.
But Bai iyue shook her head. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Bai Feng; it was the Bai family she didn’t trust. She knew that if half of the supplies were given to her, the other half would be brought to the Bai family and she didn’t want them to have enough to eat their fill.
She wanted them to live like ghosts, where they could neither live nor die.
"I will collect my own supplies; if you want, you can help her," she pointed at Qiu Li, who was silently standing on the side.
Upon being pointed out, she jumped a little and looked at Bai iyue in confusion.
"Who is she?" Bai Feng had never t with Qiu Li and frowned.
Bai iyue glanced at Qiu Li and remarked, "She is my friend." There was no point in avoiding Qiu Li, soone like her—she would co in handy sooner or later. Since that was the case, Bai iyue didn’t mind befriending Qiu Li.
After she finished speaking, she didn’t wait for Bai Feng to speak and charged upstairs.
Seeing her leave, Bai Feng wanted to stop her. After all, Bai iyue was just a little girl; how could she deal with these zombies on her own? But before he could stop her, Bai iyue had already climbed up the stairs and Bai Feng didn’t think it was suitable for him to leave and ignore Bai iyue’s orders.
She had clearly left the safety of her friend in his hands; how could he leave her alone?
In the end, he turned to look at Qiu Li and said, "Co, I will drop you ho and then go and look for Yueyue."
Qiu Li was rather touched when she heard Bai iyue’s arrangents; after all, she knew that if she went back alone, she would be definitely attacked by the residents of the building. Now with soone dropping her ho, she wouldn’t have to worry about it.
On the other side, Bai iyue, who reached the third floor, was like a grand robber. She swept in all the premium apparel as well as the jewellery and the precious stones that were on the fourth floor.
The mont she entered the fifth floor, Bai iyue realised that there were a lot of zombies and she quickly rushed out to clean them up. She raised her knife and chopped their heads like she was cutting down vegetables and wiped them clean.
Once she was done dealing with them, Bai iyue felt her stomach churn and covered her mouth before rushing to the nearest restroom. She threw up until she could no longer throw up and covered her nose.
She looked down and saw the blood that was sticking to her clothes and her throat coiled in disgust once again. Bai iyue knew that she could no longer withstand this rotten scent anymore. Thus, she imdiately changed her clothes into a clean set of clothes and threw away the ones that were dirtied.
She then walked out of the restroom and retrieved an empty bottle before filling it up with water to clean her mouth.
If soone had seen Bai iyue using such clean water to wash her mouth, they would have cursed her until she was drowned in their spit. After all, in the apocalypse, such clean water was extrely precious. Even more so after the tsunami.
Of course, what others thought had nothing to do with Bai iyue. She was never going to wrong herself. In her past life, she was sucked dry until even the last of her worth was taken away from her. If she hadn’t escaped in ti, she would have turned into a ghoul that was neither alive nor dead.
She was not going to treat herself shabbily in this life. After she was done collecting the supplies, she went to look for the warehouse. Of course, she did not empty the supermarket completely, as it would raise suspicions. So, she left so supplies in the aisle and headed to the warehouse, where she found more than ten zombies lurking outside.
When they sensed a human approaching, they imdiately charged at Bai iyue.
