Even though the world was coming to an end, Shen Zhen couldn’t give up on her responsibility as a doctor. Wasn’t this the reason why Shen Zhen saved her life the last ti? The two of them had nothing to do with one another and yet Shen Zhen fought with Bai Qingshi when the man was determined to leave her alone and let the child die in her belly.

Shen Zhen left her ho to look for her sisters but not once did she give up on saving the lives of the people in need. This was why Bai iyue was a bit tempted. What if Shen Zhen went to the city hospital? After all, that hospital was where most of the patients were admitted before the tsunami.

Since that was the case, then there was a chance that Shen Zhen went there.

What was more, there was also an orphanage not far from the hospital. Shen Zhen must have gone looking there in hope that she would be able to find at least one of her sisters.

Bai iyue tapped her fingers, her thoughts steering towards the children in the orphanage. Though there was a chance that the children in the orphanage might already be dead, what if so of them survived? Then they must be waiting for soone to rescue them.

She was now a mother and the maternal instinct was overflowing in her heart. When she thought about how those children might be starving and hiding in a dark room to avoid the zombies, Bai iyue couldn’t help but think of saving those children.

Though she didn’t want to bring freeloaders into her house, those children were different from grown-up adults who didn’t have the strength to protect themselves.

But the penthouse was in a ss at the mont. The trip to the city hospital was not a small one either. It would take at least more than six hours for her to reach the city hospital, as it was at the centre of the main city. More importantly, the City Hospital was where most of the patients of the city were admitted.

It must have beco a zombie concentration centre by now. If she were to head over to the City Hospital now, then she was worried that she wouldn’t be able to return in a day or two. It would take at least three days to deal with the entire crowd of zombies and save the children in the orphanage.

Bai iyue couldn’t stay away from her ho for so long. If she went out, then those survivors would try to snatch the supplies from her mother, and with Bai Qingshi among them, he would use his position as her and her two brothers father to suppress her mother.

At least with her here, he would think twice before making a move.

And taking her mother out with her was even more out of the question. If no one was left behind to guard the penthouse, those bastards would make her house a lair of bandits.

She needed to wait a bit longer. Once her two brothers get strong enough to protect the house on their own.

Until then she could only think of guarding the house.

But—suddenly another thought swept up in her head, what if the children couldn’t hold on till then? Shen Zhen was a smart woman; she could hold on until soone rescued her. But those kids might not be able to hold on!

And if one of those kids were Shen Zhen’s sisters, then it would be even double the loss. What if Shen Zhen once again went down the sa crazy lane? Saving as many people as she could just because she failed to save her sisters?

She frowned, wondering what to do in this situation.

While Bai iyue was worried about saving innocent lives, ng Qibao headed out of the penthouse to bring so chilli oil that he had saved from the refugees. Since it was not sothing that could fill one’s stomach, others hadn’t bothered with it either.

As soon as he climbed up the stairs, he ran into ng Anzhi, Bai Xue, Su Hu, and the rest of the bedraggled survivors.

When ng Anzhi saw ng Qibao, her eyes lit up. She was about to call her cousin when she saw the oil on his mouth. Even if ng Anzhi was dumb, she was not stupid. She soon realised what was going on and her expression turned cold.

"ng Qibao!"

Seeing ng Qibao’s mouth covered with oil and spices, ng Anzhi couldn’t help but yell angrily. She had been waiting for Bai Feng to return and bring the supplies with him but Bai Feng never returned and they couldn’t contact him as there were no network signals in this building. But no one dared to go out and take the risks.

Thus, everyone was huddled in the safety of their houses and didn’t eat a bite of food. Their stomachs were rumbling and were about to stick to their backs, especially hers. ng Anzhi was so hungry that she was about to faint.

Her scream was loud enough to penetrate the walls of the penthouse as ng Qibao had opened the electric door but let go when soone moved forward and let the door shut close.

These people could cause trouble for him but not for Bai iyue and her family.

ng Suisui heard her cousin’s scream and pursed her lips. Her fingers holding the chopsticks trembled. She quickly placed them down in the bowl and then rushed out of the house with Bai iyue following behind her.

She too wanted to see what kind of trouble Bai Xue was going to cause this ti around.

Yan Wanning exchanged a look with her two sons, who looked back at her and then chased after Bai iyue. Even if their sister could deal with this trouble, they couldn’t sit back and do nothing. Thus, they chased after their sister imdiately.
