Bai Jixuan narrowed his eyes. He seed more than just dissatisfied with Lei Qian, but Mother Bai was over the moon when she heard Lei Qian’s words.
"There is no need to thank us," said Mother Bai with a simpering smile. "This is what we are supposed to do. Isn’t that right, Yueyue?" For soone who was always looked down on by her husband and never treated like a human being, Mother Bai thought that Lei Qian had done a great job.
What could Bai iyue even say? She could only smile and nod. Though she felt a bit burdened with the gifts that Lei Qian had brought over, Bai iyue didn’t reject them. Because sowhere she knew that Lei Qian was right.
