Jiang Haidai was startled when soone called her. She blinked her eyes and turned to look at the person behind her. When she saw that it was the doctor whom Bai iyue was looking for, she politely smiled at Shen Zhen. Other than that, Jiang Haidai didn't pay attention to Shen Zhen.
She was about to turn around and walk away with ng Guo as she was in a hurry to exchange supplies with Bai iyue after handing the crystal nuclei in her hands but before she could leave, Shen Zhen rushed over.
Her eyes were red, her breathing was stagnant and she was staring at Jiang Haidai as if she was looking at a treasure.
Her actions scared Jiang Haidai. She hid her son behind her and questioned in a trembling voice, "What? What is the matter?" She was scared that this woman was trying to find trouble with her but what Jiang Haidai never expected was that the second her gaze t with Shen Zhen, the latter would burst into tears and hug her tight.
"It's great that you are alright. I am so glad that you are alive." Shen Zhen rubbed the back of Jiang Haidai's head. She wasn't surprised that her sister didn't rember her; after all, Jiang Haidai was only three or four years old when she was sent to the orphanage by her parents.
What could a child around this age even rember?
When Jiang Haidai was hugged by a strange woman, she was so scared that her face turned pale, but at the sa ti, her eyes widened and she felt exceptionally familiar in the embrace of the woman who was hugging her.
She didn't know what was going on and simply let Shen Zhen hug her.
When Bai iyue saw Shen Zhen hugging Jiang Haidai, she was a bit confused but as she narrowed her eyes and looked at the two won who were hugging one another, she noticed that there was indeed so similarity between the two.
Jiang Haidai didn't have prominent features like Tong Huan but when she stood next to Shen Zhen, so resemblance between the two sisters could be seen.
Now, Bai iyue was thankful that she hadn't left Jiang Haidai behind or else things would have beco problematic. It was indeed a blessing in disguise.
It took so ti for Jiang Haidai and Shen Zhen to calm down. Realizing that the two sisters needed to talk about so things, Bai iyue didn't intervene and turned to look at the rest of the team before telling them to go up and take rest in the empty rooms.
Of course, they only cleared up the zombies in the reception area, which ant that the zombies on the other floors had been left unattended. As soon as others rushed upstairs,, they heard the cries of the zombies, emanating from all over the place.
Ho Ho.
Seeing this, Bai iyue rushed towards the room that was the closest and dealt with the four zombies. Though it was a saddening end for the family of fours, Bai iyue also knew that there was no point in treating these zombies as living people. She cleared up the young and old together.
Behind her, Lei Qian and the rest of the team also rushed into the rooms that were filled with zombies. Behind them ng Qibao, ng Suisui, Director Feng and Wang Ba rushed into the rooms that were cleared up and started collecting the supplies that might co in handy.
On the other hand, Dacheng stayed close to Jiang Haidai and Shen Zhen. He didn't expect such a twist of events. He thought that this woman was of no use, and in just a matter of a few hours, this woman beca the sister of the one person Bai iyue was looking for with all her strength.
As for why Bai iyue was looking for Shen Zhen, Dacheng naturally had no idea.
However, he didn't believe the casual excuse that Bai iyue gave earlier. He didn't believe that Bai iyue would look for Shen Zhen so desperately just because she was having so problems with her monthly cycle.
And he was determined to break this mystery. After all, only after getting his hands on Bai iyue's secret would he be able to get a chance to control that woman.
Dacheng didn't believe that Bai iyue would dare to go against him once he found out the truth about her secret.
His eyes flashed with a calculative glint and he reached his hand for Shen Zhen to take.
"Hi, I am Dacheng. The mber of this team," with a smile on his face, introduced himself. Dacheng was quite confident in his charm, as he was the most handso man in his village. However, as a frog in the well, he had no idea that Shen Zhen had not only seen more good-looking n than him but she was also resistant to his charm.
She simply nodded at Dacheng and then went to look for Bai iyue. She was naturally happy to find her sister but she could always sit down and talk with her. Saving the patients and the newborn was more important.
More importantly, she had seen many people like Dacheng. Shen Zhen wouldn't declare herself as noble but she was certainly better than Dacheng, who was kind towards others for so reason. Her kindness was out of goodwill, while Dacheng was kind towards others due to his selfishness.
Shen Zhen walked away with Jiang Haidai.
There were not many rooms in the inn but they were enough for the team to rest.
Bai iyue cleared up the room that had the most clear view of the street. This way she didn't have to worry about being taken off guard by other survivors. There was an electric kettle and a fluffy bed in the room, along with a few more things.
Naturally, Bai iyue was not going to treat herself badly. She kicked her shoes and sat down on the bed, releasing a sigh of relief.
