"What happened?" Bai iyue asked in a whisper.
"She was trying to help my brother in cleaning the room," Lei Yan, who was standing outside the room where she was resting, stepped out and answered with a scoff. "I cannot understand what she is even trying to do."
Lei Yan grew up as the princess of the Lei family; she could never understand the mind process of Lu Yin, who grew up as a people-pleaser.
She turned to look at Bai iyue and explained, "My brother asked her to leave politely at first but she refused. In the end, my brother's temper rose and he couldn't stop himself from losing it."
Many people took at Lei Qian as a paper tiger because he was always polite and calm but in truth, Lei Qian's temper was worse than Lei Yan's. He didn't get angry easily but when he did, he could scare off even their father into tears.
Thus, Lei Yan was not surprised when she saw that Lu Yin had been reduced to tears. However, it was Lu Yin's fault. Who asked her to be so stubborn? Did she think that her brother was lacking a hand or leg? He could take care of himself. The one thing that her brother hated the most was when soone tried to force their way into his space.
He didn't have too many taboos but he didn't like anyone trespassing his space without his permission. Even she was not allowed to enter his room without knocking. Who did Lu Yin think she was?
Lu Yin, who was being stared at by countless stares, felt humiliated. She just wanted to help Lei Qian clean up. When they were children, Lei Qian clearly had no qualms when she entered his room without asking for permission but now the sa man was annoyed with her re presence.
Naturally, she blad all of these changes on Bai iyue without stopping to think that she and Lei Qian were no longer children. Not to ntion, in the past, when she entered the room, Lu Yu was with Lei Qian. thus, he had never stopped her but was the situation still the sa as before? Of course not!
Lei Qian didn't want to bother with Lu Yin. He was annoyed and frustrated with her actions but he had no idea what to do to make her stop. He raised his head and looked at Bai iyue before saying, "Yueyue, co here and help . I want to take a bath."
After speaking, he turned around on his feet and walked inside the room.
He left without looking back but as soon as he walked away, Lu Yin turned and glared at Bai iyue as if it was her fault that Lei Qian was not paying attention to her.
Bai iyue rolled her eyes and then followed Lei Qian.
She didn't even want to bother with Lu Yin, this idiot.
Once the two of them disappeared, everyone else also went back into their rooms. Only Dacheng walked over to where Lu Yin was standing and pulled her back inside the room where she was staying.
"What do you think you are doing?" Dacheng indeed asked Lu Yin to show off herself a bit more in front of Lei Qian and try to get close to him but he never asked her to do it in such a fashion.
Even he would be annoyed if he was in Lei Qian's shoes.
"You were the one—"
"I asked you to show your kindness every now and then. Not cling onto the poor man!" Dacheng interrupted the woman from speaking. He gnashed his teeth when he heard Lu Yin bla him for what happened. "Did I not say to you that n don't chase after won who stick their faces to their cold bottom? Look at Bai iyue; she doesn't give Master Lei anymore attention than necessary."
"Don't he treat her better than you?"
Dacheng cursed Lu Yin for being stupid. At the sa ti, he wondered if he should try and get close to Bai iyue. However, after a few seconds, he shook his head and threw the thought at the back of his head.
Won like Bai iyue were inherently proud and cold.
It was impossible for him to fool Bai iyue. Only won like Lu Yin who thought that they were too smart could be fooled!
Thus, even though this woman was a fool, he had no choice but to use this pawn as it couldn't be thrown away yet.
At that ti, Bai iyue was sitting on a small stool and filling the bathtub with water . She was quiet and unbothered on the surface but inwardly, after seeing Lu Yin's clingy actions, she was even more determined to stay away from Lei Qian.
Since the old tis, it was said that beauty was cause of doom for many dynasties. She couldn't be as foolish as those emperors who were bewitched by the beauty of their beloved and lost their throne.
Though, she had no throne to protect, she had a son.
However, the more Bai iyue wanted to avoid the man, the more Lei Qian wanted to cling to her. When he saw that the woman was ignoring him, he trotted over and leaned down before asking, "Yueyue, are you angry with ?"
"No." Bai iyue glanced at the man and answered coldly.
Her eyes swept at his enchanting face and clicked her tongue. No wonder Lu Yin was willing to go to such lengths.
She didn't want to see this beautiful face.
"No, you are angry with , aren't you?" Lei Qian pushed his face in front of Bai iyue. The more she wanted to avoid him, the more he clung to her because he knew that Bai iyue had a soft spot for his face.
Even though she hid it quite well, he found it!
He kneeled down in front of her like a pitiful dog that had been kicked out by his master and placed his hands on her knees while looking at Bai iyue with his starry eyes.
