With their changed relationship, it was only right for Shen Zhen to care about Bai iyue.
"I have not thought about it yet." It wasn't that she didn't think about it; it was just that she had no desire to bring Lei Qian with her. If that man ca with her, he would only cause more trials and tribulations for her. Sothing that she didn't want.
What's more, after the harsh words that she said to Lei Qian, Bai iyue wondered if that man would even want to talk with her, much less go outside and join in a hunt. Bai iyue didn't care about it. She didn't mind if Lei Qian no longer talked with her; as far as she knew, Bai iyue knew that she would be able to collect the supplies on her own. She didn't need anyone to help her.
"I think I will co with you." Sensing Bai iyue's rejection, Shen Zhen decided to follow her instead of asking her to take Lei Qian with her. There was a good chance that the woman might rush out on her own and end up causing a brawl on the street.
Shen Zhen didn't know why, but sothing about Bai iyue made her really nervous.
When Bai iyue heard her words, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why?"
"Well, I don't think it's safe for you to go outside on your own." Shen Zhen licked her lips and lied. But her eyes were flickering so much that Bai iyue cottoned on and smirked, "And you are worried that I will do sothing that I shouldn't?"
"And I am worried that you will do sothing that you shouldn't." Since she had already been caught, Shen Zhen decided to co clean in front of Bai iyue. There was no other choice.
She then said to Bai iyue, "What's more, we are the ones who brought these many people with us. I think it's our responsibility to take care of the babies and the children." Shen Zhen was truly worried that Bai iyue would push her body. This woman was truly capable of tossing around. Shen Zhen witnessed it firsthand in the hospital. Bai iyue killed those zombies without showing any consciousness of being a pregnant woman. She wondered how Bai iyue would act if she let her go on her own alone. She might end up tossing the entire street!
This woman tossed around so much when she went to the hospital with an entire team. Shen Zhen couldn't even imagine the good things that Bai iyue might do if she were to go alone.
When she saw that Bai iyue was not responding and looking at her with an uplifted brow, she clasped her hands in her lap and then said to her, "I an—Zhou Hongbei also said that we should keep our accounts clear from the start."
"I understand," Bai iyue curled her lips and nodded. "There is no need to say anything more. Doctor Zhou is right. By keeping the accounts clear, we don't need to worry about our relationships straining."
When Shen Zhen heard Bai iyue agree with her suggestion, she heaved a sigh of relief. She parted her lips and said, "I have arranged for your vitamins; I placed them right under the cabinet that's right next to your room."
"I got it—"
Bai iyue hardly replied when soone shouted from outside and told her that it was ti for dinner.
"I am coming," replied Bai iyue as she turned to look over her shoulder. She then turned to look at Shen Zhen and said to her, "Let's go. We should eat sothing first."
Shen Zhen agreed. The two won went downstairs while discussing the matter of the hunts with one another.
As they stepped down the last stair, they found Bai Zhan and Bai Jixuan arranging a small picnic table in the middle of the room. Zhou Hongbei and Doctor Cui were helping around where they could, as they felt quite awkward eating without working. The two n helped around while the children rushed to the kitchen to get the disposable plates and chopsticks.
The two won sat down at the tables set by the Bai brothers, along with the rest, as the dinner started. It didn't take long for the Lei parents and Mother Bai to take their leave, along with Bai Zhan, as he needed to get his sons to sleep. Once they were gone, Zhou Hongbei and Doctor Cui heaved a sigh of relief.
They finally reached out to pick up the bottle of wine that was sitting right in front of them and poured a generous amount of it into their glasses. n, no matter what, could not deny good wine.
Doctor Cui turned and looked at Lei Qian, who was elegantly eating his rice, and cleared his throat. he said to him, "Master Lei, do you want a sip of wine? I think it is pretty good."
"Of course, it's good." Lei Qian raised his head and looked at the glass that Doctor Cui was holding. "Yueyue brought it with her when she went on the hunt last ti." After speaking, he raised his head and looked at Doctor Cui proactively, as if he was trying to show off how well he knew Bai iyue.
Doctor Cui was simply speechless by his actions. He looked at the man with a polite smile on his face, and he remarked, "It seems like Miss Bai is really excellent."
As soon as she finished speaking, Lei Qian turned vigilant. He narrowed his eyes. "She is indeed excellent, but what's that got to do with you?"
"I was just praising her." Doctor Cui found it hard to keep his smile intact. He wanted to simply befriend Lei Qian through Bai iyue, but it seed highly impossible.
"I know that she is worthy of praise but there is no need," Lei Qian stated. "Yueyue is not soone who does things for the sake of praise. She is just excellent like that; everything she does —she does it flawlessly." and even if she wanted to get praised, he was here to praise her!
