Bai iyue's eyes widened in surprise as she stepped back.
Her eyes, however, were fixated on the woman who was writhing on the floor. She wanted to reach out and pull Murong Yue from the ground but it was too late. The woman clutched her heart as if she was in great pain before her eyes rolled right back into their sockets and all of her struggles suddenly ceased.
A second later, Bai iyue noticed a mutated centipede wriggling out of the mouth of the woman. Her eyes narrowed when she noticed the mutated centipede that had three heads and imdiately froze that thing to death.
Once the thing was gone, Bai iyue stared at the corpse in front of her with icy eyes. No wonder she couldn't find any trace of that organisation in her last life; soone had awakened the skill of refining Gu!
Damn it!
When Bai iyue thought about this tricky skill, she felt her head ache. If the underlings of that organisation were fed and controlled by the Gu worm, then Bai iyue didn't believe that she would be able to find any traces for the ti being.
After all, even if she did find soone, how was she supposed to make them confess?
"Damn," Bai iyue cursed as she ran her fingers through her hair. She stared at the corpse on the ground and kicked her on the waist before muttering, "I thought that you were so big shot but it seems like you were nothing but a puppet."
Bai iyue had experienced and seen all kinds of ability users but she had never thought of such a power ability being awakened. It would be impossible for her to deal with these Gu worms.
The best was to find this ability user and kill him or her.
For now, she wanted to see what good things Murong Yue was hiding in her room.
The things were easy to find. She looked around the small bedroom and soon found a pair of real estate certificates, cash, gold bars, watches, and jewellery.
There was also three car keys, which Bai iyue imdiately pocketed. As for the rest, apart from the luxury items, she dropped everything else back in the cabinets.
Bai iyue then walked out of the courtyard and headed down to the kitchen, where she cleaned out the entire cabinet along with the pantry. To her surprise, she actually found fresh boar at stocked in the freezer. How could Bai iyue leave such a good thing behind?
She placed it all inside the space pocket that she was carrying with her.
Behind the kitchen was a small bar. It seed like Murong Yue knew how to live her life. The liquor that she had stocked was of high quality and there was also so high-end coffee.
She rummaged around a bit more and soon found a pack of condoms that was hidden in the small room. Though she was pregnant, Bai iyue had never really seen the ways of the world. She looked at the pack of condoms in her hands and had no idea what was going on in her head but soon she was filled with curiosity.
Before she knew it, she had opened the pack and taken a look inside of it.
BANG!
The sound of the door opening behind her echoed in the small love room. Bai iyue who was sitting on the heart-shaped bed, raised her head and looked at Lei Qian, who was walking over. In five or six steps the man ca to a stop in front of her. He looked down at her and questioned,
"What are you doing here? Do you know how worried I was just now?"
"What are you doing here? Did I not ask you to return?" Bai iyue asked with a frown on her face.
"You did but I didn't want to leave you behind," Lei Qian honestly replied. He looked at the box of condoms in Bai iyue's hand and his head went blank. Why was this woman holding this pack of condoms? Was she planning on doing sothing with him?
He sowhat absentmindedly asked, "What about you? Why are you here? Didn't you say that you were going to return in just a while?"
"I was going to return in a while." Bai iyue blinked her eyes and dropped her gaze into her hands. She could not understand why Lei Qian was staring at her hand with such a fierce look in his eyes but that was until she saw the pack of condoms.
Because she was too lost in her thoughts, she didn't even rember the thing in her hand!
As if burned by the box in her hands, she dropped it on the table and said to Lei Qian with an awkward smile, "I think we should leave. It wouldn't take the guards to realise that there is sothing wrong here."
She stood up to walk out of the room but she was hugged by Lei Qian, who reached out and brought her in his embrace.
"You—" Bai iyue was stunned when she felt the man hold her by her waist. She was worried that the man would hug her too tight that he would squeeze Little Cai, so she imdiately stopped him from hugging her. But the man was stubborn as well.
Just as she turned to leave, he caught her wrist and pulled her back and hugged her from the front. He said to her, "Where do you think you are running away?"
He was a little anxious but as he looked at Bai iyue who was trapped in his arms, he curled his lips and smiled at her sweetly. "You ca to this room and even sat down with that box in your hands. Tell what you were thinking, huh? Were you thinking sothing naughty now that you have a husband?"
He was still mad about Bai iyue's rotten words that she told him the last ti. He had been waiting to teach her a lesson ever since then and finally got a chance!
