Bai iyue narrowed her eyes when she heard the words of the man. Now one thing was rather clear. Either the man was behind the cause of this trouble or soone else took hold of his notes and started causing this chaos. It had to be one of the two things and she was determined to find the person behind it.
"Do you know anything more?" She turned to look at the man and asked in a soft voice. Bai iyue was not foolish. She knew that she needed Lei Qian's help; thus, she was not only polite with him but she also treated him with a subtle admiration.
As if she was silently telling him how good he was.
Sure enough, that gaze indeed did the job. Lei Qian smiled at her, looking a bit flattered and then said to her, "I do know a little bit but—"
"But?"
"But I don't believe that it will help you. First of all, the man who was fascinated with the Gu worms ended up dying. Secondly, this matter beca a taboo in the army because the man actually died while practicing how to raise Gu worms. I don't think that he is the one behind this."
Bai iyue pursed her lips. Indeed, if the man was dead, then there was no way he was the one who awakened as an ability user who can raise Gu worms. Unless—
"What are you thinking?" Just as Bai iyue was lost in her thoughts, she heard Lei Qian call her na. She raised her head and turned to look at the man who sat next to her and heard him say, "Should you not be praising ? I saved so much of your ti."
He seed quite proud of this achievent as well!
Though Bai iyue felt amused by his actions, she still nodded and agreed with him. She raised her fist in the air and waved it lightly before saying to him, "You are really aweso."
She didn't mind handing so praises to Lei Qian as long as the man brought her necessary information that she needed. It wasn't as if she would run out of supplies if she praised Lei Qian.
"Of course, I am." Lei Qian puffed out his chest and his eyes turned into slits when he smiled at her. The two of them drove back to Jingshi street where they t with Xiao Wu and the rest.
Together they exchanged the supplies. Those who found antiques handed them to Bai iyue who in exchange handed food supplies and clothes to Xiao Wu's team.
Shen Zhen and Zhou Hongbei also got their hands on so good things, which left them smiling from one ear to another.
After regrouping, the entire team returned to the apartnt building.
When Bai iyue stepped down from the RV, she saw Fang Qing following a man. The woman flinched when she saw Bai iyue and lowered her head. Though neither of them said anything, Bai iyue knew what was going on. She curled her lips and looked at the woman who had already followed another man and turned her gaze away without even looking at Fang Qing.
Anyway, Bai iyue didn't feel that she was being too harsh on Fang Qing. In her past life, she didn't do anything to Fang Qing and yet the woman followed the sa path as this one.
This was not the path that Bai iyue asked Fang Qing to choose. She could obviously fight the zombies but she still picked up this path. What else could she do?
The greatest rcy that Bai iyue could show to Fang Qing was to pretend that she didn't see her.
When Fang Qing saw Bai iyue leave, she heaved a sigh of relief but at the sa ti she ended up getting annoyed. Who was the cause of her plight? It was none other than Bai iyue. How dare that woman pretend as if she could not see her!?
Fang Qing was angry but she couldn't even get angry at Bai iyue.
After all, she had seen how skilled that woman was. If she tried to go against that woman, then she would end up dying!
"What a sha," Fang Qing heard the man say with a light-hearted tone. He was looking at Bai iyue and licking his lips in a lecherous way. "If that woman was just like you, then I could have gotten a taste of her too but ... I got you. A yellow-faced woman."
The way the man spoke was way too degrading. It made Fang Qing's face turn red with anger and sha. She wanted to turn around and leave. And she would have done it if she was living in the past. But she knew that she could not do it.
She was starving and there was nothing for her to eat.
Her mother had simply let go after the death of Brother Fang. Not only had her mother gone crazy, she had also beco violent and short-tempered. She looked at the two sisters as if they were so heavy baggage that was resting on her heart and cursed them all day long.
Cursing was still alright but that woman was now beating them up.
Fang Qing was afraid that if she didn't bring back the supplies tonight, her mother might really kill her tonight! Thus, she had no choice but to pick this line.
She was too scared to go outside and fight with the zombies, so what other choice did she have other than this?
Fang Qing hated Bai iyue and she hated Bai Zhan. They were husband and wife and had shared a bed. No matter how an-spirited she was, she was the mother of his children and yet he treated her like this.
Leaving her alone to fend for herself.
Sure enough, she underestimated that man! She thought that he was honest and polite but the truth was that he was the most ruthless one out there.
