When Lu Ling saw the excited look on Bai iyue's face, he snickered in his heart. At the sa ti, he was filled with disdain towards Bai iyue. How dare this woman act all haughty with him? Didn't she act all haughty with him the last ti she walked out of the company?
Though he was looking down on Bai iyue, Lu Ling still pretended to be concerned and attentive. He spoke to Bai iyue like a caring elder, "That's right. There is this little job that you can take; I promise that as long as you do it well, I will pay you generously."
Hehe, of course, he was lying. Once he succeeds in delivering Bai iyue into Mister Clynton's bed, he will get a handle on this woman. Let's see if she dared to act all smug with him ever again.
"Boss Li," Bai iyue stepped close to the unsuspecting man and said to him, "How will I ever be able to thank you?"

"What did you feed ?" He tried to spit the thing in his mouth only to realise that it had actually lted.
Bai iyue was calm as she delivered the ruthless truth, "New poison that I got from the black market."
"What!?!" Lu Ling was stunned. He looked at Bai iyue with shock in his eyes—this woman—she actually fed him poison? Did she not fear death?
"Bai iyue, you!" Lu Ling raised his voice but when Bai iyue glanced at him, the man didn't dare to utter a peep. It wasn't his fault; the look that Bai iyue gave him was filled with murderous energy. It was as if he dared to say one wrong word; this woman would skin him alive.
"Don't get agitated; as long as you listen to , you will be fine."
Lu Ling's expression turned gloomy; he never thought that there would co a day where he would have to lower his head in front of Bai iyue.
He asked with a sullen look, "What if I don't?"
"Your body will slowly start rotting and your organs will start failing one by one. Within a month you will die."
Lu Ling:!!!!
How did this woman co up with such a poison?
"Stop lying to ." Lu Ling was terrified but a part of him didn't believe that Bai iyue would dare to harm him like this.
Hearing his words, Bai iyue was amused. She curled her lips and said to Lu Ling, "I am not asking you to believe after all; it's not my life that is in danger."
She paused and added, "You can get a diagnosis if you want." With an evil yet seductive smile on her face, she said to Lu Ling, "But the result will not change. However, since you were so nice to , I will give you three days. If you want to survive,"
She took out a list of weapons as well as a yacht that she wanted and showed it to Lu Ling.
"Deliver these at the warehouse D in the southern city. Once you fulfil the order, I will send the antidote to you."
Once she finished speaking, Bai iyue headed out of the ward without wasting another second.
Lu Ling, who was left inside to ponder and digest Bai iyue's words, clenched his fingers in anger and disbelief. Of course, he didn't believe a single word that ca out of Bai iyue's mouth.
How can such a poison exist? And even if there was one, how could Bai iyue get her hands on it?
He didn't believe that there was anything wrong with him.
"Just wait, Bai iyue," Lu Ling spat on the ground. He was humiliated when he thought about how he was played by Bai iyue. "Once I get out of the hospital, I will deal with you."
Bai iyue was not bothered by Lu Ling and his curses. She headed out of the hospital when she received a call from the police station, telling her that Bai Qingshi wanted to talk to her.
When Bai iyue heard the words of the police officers, her eyes flashed. She knew what this rotten man wanted to say to her and refused imdiately, "Officers, do—do I have to et with him? If I see him, I am worried that I will rember the day when he pushed ... "she stifled a fake sob, inciting the sympathy of the police officers.
They not only agreed to let her skip this eting but even scolded Bai Qingshi for being shaless. After offering Bai iyue a few words of comfort, they ended the call.
"Humph, do you think that I still have ti to play with you?" Bai iyue sneered as she looked at the dark screen.
The next morning,
Bai iyue woke up covered in a thin layer of water. Her eyes flashed as she tried to get up from the bed, only to realise that she was actually suffering from high fever! What was this? Was she awakening before the apocalypse or—was the date of the disaster pushed ahead?
Bai iyue had no idea but she decided to start stocking more resources as quickly as possible. She got up and ordered a bowl of porridge; since she was not feeling well, Bai iyue had no choice but to take things easy for the ti being.
Once her ability awakened, one of her worries would ease.
She had just finished eating the porridge when the doorbell of her apartnt rang, causing her to frown. Who was disturbing her so early in the morning? Bai iyue pushed herself off the couch and walked over to the door, where she looked at the visitor on the intercom.
Her eyes widened and her heart started to beat fast and hard.
