"Sure," Bai iyue agreed.
"Oh." The nurse looked at the pile of crystal nuclei, and suddenly she couldn't help but feel that she had beco a rich woman. She carefully carried the bag of crystal inside the hospital to discuss it with Shen Zhen and Zhou Hongbei, while Bai iyue stared at the woman walking inside the hospital.
She then turned to walk inside the RV, as she felt hungry. After working for so long, Bai iyue was a bit tired; she turned on her feet and climbed up the stairs.
The zombies around the hospital were more or less cleaned up, and now Bai iyue didn't have to worry about these n eating monsters hurting anyone. When Bai iyue turned to leave, Bai Feng noticed her leaving. He was not far from where she was standing; thus, when she turned around, he noticed her right away.
The second he looked at Bai iyue, Bai Feng pursed his lips tightly as if he wanted to say sothing to her.
But Bai iyue had no desire to talk with him at that mont. Her stomach was rumbling, and she was just a few seconds away from throwing up. Thus, she ignored Bai Feng even though she knew that he was looking at her. She hurried inside the RV and went straight to the kitchen to find sothing to eat.
Fortunately, her brother knew that she needed her snacks and thus packed a lot of them in the kitchen pantry. Bai iyue easily found so egg pudding, so beef jerky, and pickles. As her pregnancy continued to advance, she started craving sothing sour and spicy.
She had just taken a bite of the egg pudding when soone knocked on the door of the RV. Bai iyue paused and turned to look at the door. She wanted to ignore the person who was disturbing her al, but it beca impossible with how persistent the person was being.
Sighing, Bai iyue got up from the chair and walked over to the door of the RV, where she pulled the door open and looked at Bai Feng, who was standing outside the door.
She asked, "What do you want from now?"
Bai Feng frowned when he heard her indifferent tone. However, his gaze fell on the zombies who were lurking around the hospital and turned to look at Bai iyue before saying to her, "Yueyue, are you going to open a hospital?"
"So what if I am? Or what if I am not?" Bai iyue remarked. "What does that have to do with you?"
She couldn't understand Bai Feng and his actions. Biting a piece of beef jerky, she wondered what the purpose of Bai Feng was when he ca to ask for the hospital from her. Don't tell her; he wanted her to help Bai Xue or Chu Xia.
She was not going to do it.
"If you are going to—"
"Because I think we all need it." Before she could finish speaking, Bai Feng spoke up. "My team needs dical resources, and your team has all the resources that can be used to open a hospital. If you use them to open a hospital along with , then it will co in handy for everyone."
He paused and added, "Sooner or later, other survivors would need it as well."
"Do you think that opening a hospital is that easy?" Bai iyue questioned with a raised brow. "Do you think that I can build a hospital for the public just because you asked to?" Her tone was sarcastic as she questioned the man. While biting the end of the beef jerky, she continued, "Opening a public hospital is not that simple. From focusing on the demands of the doctors, including the dicines and many other things."
"What's more, survivors need to pay for the dical resources with either crystal nuclei or resources. Do you think that they would do it?" Bai iyue knew the ntality of the survivors really well. They don't care about the worries and troubles of others; they only care for their own benefits.
She was certain that many of the survivors would try to refuse to pay the debt that they owed the hospital. It would be nothing but troubleso to open a hospital, and Bai iyue had no wish to get entangled in trouble.
"I can help you with that," Bai Feng stated. When Bai iyue raised her brow, he raised his hands and said, "Of course, I will not ask you to hand over the rights of the hospital. I just ant that I will help you around with the hospital; this way, you don't have to worry about the patients refusing to hand over the desired fee."
"Don't worry; I will never let you suffer." Bai Feng promised. This was the first ti he saw Bai iyue talking like an adult and even telling the pros and cons of a new investnt.
"Since you want it, then you can go ahead and help the others to fill the truck," said Bai iyue. Since Bai Feng wanted to help her out, she was not going to stop him. Anyway, she was not worried that the ability users like Bai Feng would refuse to pay the fee; she was worried about the commoners.
They were the most difficult to handle.
They had no ability, no skills and absolutely no supplies. They just knew how to act like hooligans. They would run inside the hospital and lie down, waiting to be rescued. If they were not saved, then they started cursing the doctors and nurses. What was more, the doctors and nurses were sympathetic to begin with. Thus, they would sotis save the lives of these commoners.
However, what they didn't know was that their kindness was often t with nothing but ingratitude; after getting used to living in the hospital, the commoners would refuse to leave and make the hospital their ho. After all, they could easily receive food, clothes and a place to stay if they stayed in the hospital, why would they leave?
