"Are you alright, Boss?" Xiao Wu asked. He had been working at the penthouse for a while now, but he had never seen Bai iyue while he was working, which made him wonder whether the woman was injured. Now that he saw her sitting in the dining room, Xiao Wu was finally relieved.
As long as the boss was alright.
"I am alright." Bai iyue nodded. She looked at his grimy appearance and questioned, "What are you up to?"
"Ah, we are cleaning the third floor of the building," replied Xiao Wu with a smile. After Shen Zhen decided that they were going to open a hospital, they had to clear up the entire third floor and combine all the floors into one. Once they were done rebuilding the entire space, he and his boys spent the rest of the ti clearing up the debris and making the place squeaky clean.
Now that the floor was more or less clean, they had emptied the guest rooms that they were occupying in Bai iyue's house and had arranged for the babies and the children to live in the makeshift hospital that they had made.
Three nurses were now taking care of the babies in the incubators. They were in charge of feeding, cleaning and changing their nappies. Two nurses were given the responsibility of taking care of the children from the orphanage. They were supposed to note down their weight and height, as well as take their blood samples. In case the child was suffering from malnutrition or any kind of illness, the doctors would take care of them.
For now, only the children and the babies were being taken care of in the hospital. As for the rest of the floor, it still needed so cleaning.
The white bedsheets and blankets that were brought back from the hospital needed to be washed and cleaned. Currently, only half of them were washed and were now drying in the greenhouse, as there was no sun outside, and they were using the heating chanism of the greenhouse to dry the clothes.
Of course, because Tan Jiu was heavily injured, they had to arrange for a bed in the temporary hospital.
"He is not well yet?" Bai iyue was quite surprised, as she thought that Tan Jiu would have gotten better by now that his condition had stabilised.
However, Xiao Wu shook his head and replied, "According to Doctor Shen, he was out in the open for a long ti, and the doomsday virus caused his wound to fester; thus, it would take a long ti for him to get better."
When Bai iyue heard his response, she humd in response. It seed like Tan Jiu was a level two ability user, which was why his condition was still a bit serious.
"That's not all," Bai iyue heard Xiao Wu say. "You might not know this, Boss. But a lot of survivors under Master Bai Feng are coming to the hospital for treatnt."
Most of the survivors were commoners, but there were so whose heads were on their shoulders, and they knew that they could not sit idly and eat. These survivors were the ones who had been helping Bai Feng and his team and thus had so supplies and crystal nuclei.
Because they had so severe injuries while escaping from the zombies, they didn't think twice before rushing to the hospital the second they heard that there were doctors who could help them with their wounds.
Now, everyone, even ng Guo, was so busy that they were flying all day long. And because they were also taking care of the ng siblings, they wished they could sprout three more pairs of arms.
The hospital was so busy all of a sudden that even Mother Bai had to stop working in the greenhouse and help out Shen Zhen and the rest of the nurses.
"So fast?" Bai iyue asked as she finished wiping her lips on a napkin. She glanced at the empty living hall and understood at once where everyone had gone.
"That's right," Xiao Wu nodded happily. "Everyone was worried about doing nothing and relying on you all day long, boss. Now that they have sothing to do, no one wants to stay idle."
The nurses who were just taking care of the babies and the children while relying on Bai iyue to feed them were filled with renewed enthusiasm. They were so excited that they made a list in the middle of the night regarding all kinds of treatnt.
Of course, with the current situation, it was not ideal to open the hospital, but the doctors and the nurses could no longer sit still. Once the idea of opening a hospital was firmly pressed in their heads, they wanted to get it done as soon as possible.
Even though they knew that it would be troubleso with half of the dical supplies not arranged, the doctors and nurses wanted to do sothing other than sit and wait for their next al.
"What's more," Xiao Wu chuckled. "You have no idea. A few of the patients are just there to have fun. They can see that the doctors and the nurses want to do sothing; thus, they are playing with them by coming to the dical facility room to get a checkup."
Anyway, the price of a small checkup was not too high. It was only two crystal nuclei; thus, they could afford to play around.
When Bai iyue heard Xiao Wu's response, she let out a yawn. She was not eager to go and see full-grown adults playing like children. She nodded at Xiao Wu and shared an apple with him before going to her daily tasks.
She needed to work out, as she had been pushing it off for a while now.
And she also needed to fill the water tank, as the water consumption of her family was not a joke.
However, as she was climbing up the stairs, a sudden thought struck her mind and Bai iyue's lips curled up in a delightful smile.
