Bai iyue raised her brows when she saw Lei Qian protecting her. Even though she could have handled the situation on her own, it felt a bit nice seeing soone else take over the trouble for her.
Old Madam Lei was stupefied when she saw Lei Qian standing up for Bai iyue. At first, she couldn't say anything, but after being nudged by Second Aunt Lei, she puffed up angrily and shouted, "You–You–You unfilial grandson! How dare you stand against your grandmother? Do you think that just because you have awakened so fancy abilities, you can go against —"

"AHH!" Old Madam Lei scread as she jumped back and looked at the burning crater in front of her. Horrified, she stared at the burning flas in the hole in the ground. A second later, she raised her head and looked at Lei Qian, who was looking at her calmly.
"You were saying?" He blinked his eyes innocently and questioned.
"You–" Old Madam Lei was too scared to make a sound, but she was also angry. Her entire body trembled from head to toe due to anger, and she nearly fainted because of how angry she was at that mont. This boy actually dared to attack her!
If she had not been careful, she would have been burned alive just now.
"Brother," Lei Wu eyed the crater with a frown on his face. He looked at Lei Qian and said to him, "You shouldn't do that. Grandma is so old already; if you do such a thing, you will really hurt her."
It wasn't that Lei Wu cared about Old Madam Lei; he just knew that this old woman was his life-saving talisman. If sothing happened to her, then he was worried that Lei Qian would not leave them alone. Lei Wu was very much aware of the things that he had done, and he knew that the Old Lei couple was his only chance at life. As long as they died, Lei Qian wouldn't think twice before killing him along with his mother and father.
Old Madam Lei, however, didn't know these things. She thought that Lei Wu was standing up for her. Angry and affronted, she turned to look at Lei Qian and said to him, "See this! See this? Learn sothing from your cousin. He treats and you with so much respect, and you! Look at how you treat ."
"Then you can leave with him."
Old Madam Lei, who was determined to say so nice things to Lei Qian, was stunned when she heard him; she choked and stumbled on her words and questioned, "What did you say?"
She raised her head and looked at him and asked, "What do you an by leave with him? Where are we supposed to go?"
Lei Qian helped Lu Yu bring out his grandfather from inside his car just as two nurses ca running down the stairs with a stretcher.
He turned to look at his grandmother and said to her, "Grandfather only asked to bring you to safety. He never asked you to stay with ; if you think it's too hard for you to stay with , then you can leave with your precious grandson. Anyway, there is no need for us to stay together."
His lips curled up in a sly smile as he added, "I an it; you can leave if you want. It is not like we have to stay as a family anymore? The world is like this already. Even if I abandon you here, what can you do to ?"
Lei Qian turned around to leave once he finished speaking.
When Second Aunt Lei saw Lei Qian leaving, she turned flustered and rushed to Grandma Lei's side. She said to the old woman, "Mother, we cannot leave. Have you forgotten how dangerous it is outside? If we leave, where will we go without anyone protecting us?"
Second Aunt Lei stayed quiet till now because she was used to seeing Lei Qian being suppressed by Old Madam Lei, but she forgot that the world was no longer the sa. If Lei Qian wanted to abandon them, then he could most probably do it with ease.
Old Madam Lei also panicked when she heard Lei Qian say that they could leave. How could they leave? Without Lei Qian taking care of them, how would they survive?
"Let's follow them." Old Madam Lei naturally was not a fool to leave. She knew that if she left, then she would be killed in a matter of a few seconds. Without her husband protecting her, what was she supposed to do? Could she even survive without the protection of her husband?
Second Aunt Lei was glad that Old Madam Lei was thinking things through thoroughly. If her mother-in-law had thrown a tantrum and run away, who knows what would have happened? They could naturally not stay without her! Lei Qian wouldn't let them.
The family of four chased after Lei Qian and the rest of the team.
"Can you treat his injuries?" Lei Qian asked Shen Zhen worriedly. Now that his grandfather was pushed into the ergency room, the adrenaline rush had cald down, and he was filled with worry.
"We will try our best." Shen Zhen had already asked the nurses to wheel the old master of the Lei family into the examination room. "However, from the looks of it, he has lost a lot of blood.
