Father Lei nodded. However, at the sa ti, he was really worried. He wondered what they needed to do now. But his brain was a mush and he had no idea what to do at the mont, not with everything going out of control. Now that the truth about Bai iyue's pregnancy was out, Father Lei wondered how long it would take for the second branch to make a move.
Lei Qian had the sa thoughts. Thus, when he returned to his room, he couldn't even sleep a wink, even though the entire house had fallen silent. Everything from his fluffy mattress to the dim blue lighting in his room was perfect, and yet he could only roll around on the bed. Every ti he closed his eyes, Dacheng's words would co tumbling into his head.
Bai iyue was pregnant. She was pregnant with his son or daughter. The thought alone was enough to make him sit up straight on the bed. He raised his head and looked at the darkening sky; he knew it was too late for him to go to the Bai family house and knew that there was a good chance that Bai iyue might already be asleep, but he couldn't stop himself.
He got off his bed and stepped out of his room like a man on a mission. It didn't take long for him to arrive at Bai iyue's house. With Mother Bai looking out for him, he had the passcode to their house and could even open the door with the keypad, as his thumb imprint was stored in the mory of the database of the little door lock.
With a click, the door opened, and Lei Qian walked inside the penthouse with his eyes taking in the uneaten al on the table. It was clear that the Bai family were about to eat but couldn't after what happened. And as it was cold enough, there was no point in worrying about the food going stale.
Climbing up the stairs, three steps at a ti, Lei Qian strode over to the bedroom where Bai iyue stayed. He pushed open the door lightly, expecting it to shut. He thought that after what happened at the building, Bai iyue would have gotten a bit more careful about her safety, but the door opened with just a little push.
Seeing this, Lei Qian frowned a little. It seed like he needed to have a little talk with Bai iyue regarding her careless attitude. Before, he never questioned her, but now that he knew that she was pregnant, he knew that Bai iyue was twice as vulnerable.
When he stepped inside, he wasn't surprised to find Bai iyue making bubbles. Those watery orbs were hovering over her bed like crystal balls.
"What are you doing here?" Bai iyue turned to look at him. even though he didn't even step inside and the corridor was perfectly dark, she still sensed him.
Her voice was all it took, as Lei Qian rushed inside and hugged her. His whole body was trembling as if he were frightened out of his wits. He said to her in a low voice, "Yueyue, just let hug you a little. My heart is in a state of turmoil… and I have nowhere to go."
Bai iyue didn't speak. She let the man hug her without pushing him away. Her mind was just as chaotic, and she could feel herself calm down a little in the arms of the man.
"Dacheng... he said that you are pregnant... do you—are you really…" he gulped in the middle of the sentence as he looked at her abdon as if trying to see past her skin.
"I really wanted to stay at ho and co to look for you in the morning, but I can't. My mother kept telling that I should give you the ti and rest that you need, but my heart is in turmoil. Just tell the truth, Yueyue. Are you really pregnant with my child?"
Bai iyue arched her brow and questioned, "How do you know that child is yours?"
"Who else could it be if not mine?" Lei Qan asked, his voice rising a little as he felt a bit upset with the question that Bai iyue asked. What kind of person did she think he was? The night the two of them slept together, he noticed the red spot on the bed and knew what it was at once, and given how angry Su Hu was as he claid to be the one who was cheated on, Lei Qian knew that the woman was carrying his child. How could she even say such a thing!?
Bai iyue was about to speak, but then she saw two hot trails of tears slip out of Lei Qian's eyes and was stunned when she saw that the man had started crying; she was dumbstruck and didn't know what to do with a grown man crying after he found out that he was going to beco a father.
"Master Lei…are you …are you crying?"
"I am not crying." he buried his face in the crook of her neck and cried softly. The warm tears spilt over her bare shoulders, making it even harder for Bai iyue to lose her temper with him.
"You are too much! Yuyeue, if I hadn't found out the truth today from Dacheng, just tell how long you would have kept this thing from ? Would you have even told that you were pregnant with my child?"
It was too much! Seriously, too much! He was certain that if Dacheng had not told him the truth, this woman would have run away with the ball. He was sure of it. When he thought about how he was about to miss his wife as well as his child, Lei Qian wished he could strangle Bai iyue for being so secretive. Why did this woman not tell him the truth?
