Xiao Wu hadn’t even made his way down the stairs when a hand reached out to snatch the boxes that he was holding in his hands. Xiao Wu was not prepared for it and was startled by the sudden attack. He scrambled backwards while protecting the boxes in his hands. He looked at the woman in front of him and gasped, "Have you lost your mind? Are you trying to get us both killed?"
He was standing in the middle of the stairs; if Xiao Wu hadn’t pulled back in ti, he was sure that he would have rolled down the flight of stairs just now. Even if he hadn’t died, he was sure that he would have cracked his neck by now.
Mother Feng, however, didn’t seem to be listening. She growled at the man before saying to him, "Give the at!"
"I am sorry," Father Feng rushed over as he pulled his wife back. He caught her by the shoulders and bowed in front of Xiao Wu. "I brought her to see the doctors, who would have thought that she would run away from like this?"
After he finished speaking, Father Feng turned to look at his wife and scolded her lightly, "What are you doing? Did I not say that you should stay put and not run away?"
Mother Feng jumped in the air and started pulling and tugging on Father Feng’s clothes. She cried, "I am hungry; feed sothing. Give sothing to eat or I will jump. I will jump!" She jumped on the spot to prove that she would really do it.
Xiao Wu watched the woman hop around and glared at Father Feng before saying to him, "Take her away. Don’t let her cause trouble here, or else I will kick her down."
"Sorry, sorry," said Father Feng.
He then turned to look at Mother Feng before saying to her angrily, "Co with and stop causing trouble, or else I will not care about you."
Mother Feng didn’t seem to hear what Father Feng was saying to her. She glared at him and continued to insist, "I am hungry."
The ruckus that they were causing was so loud that Bai iyue and the rest were alerted.
Bai iyue walked out of the penthouse and saw the ss happening on the stairs; her eyes flashed, and she looked at Father Feng, who looked even more apologetic. He said to her, "I am sorry. I just took her to the doctors, but she ca running here."
Bai iyue nodded. She turned to look at Mother Feng who turned and looked at her; a second later, the woman rushed in front of Bai iyue as she elbowed Father Feng and said to her, "I am hungry. Feed !"
The way she spoke was as if Bai iyue had done so great personal wrong to her, and now it was sothing that Bai iyue owed her. With her hands pressed on her hips, Mother Feng looked at Bai iyue, her voice demanding and loud.
"Just what do you think you are doing?" Father Feng was speechless when he saw the actions of his wife. He rushed to pull her away from Bai iyue, but the latter stopped him.
She raised her hand and said to the man, "It’s alright. She is crazy now; she doesn’t even rember what she has done." With her eyes flickering slightly, Bai iyue turned to look at the woman in front of her.
With a flick of her hand when no one was paying attention, Bai iyue made a little exchange in the barter system. She then took out a at bun and pushed the ’Truth Pill’ inside the at bun and handed it to Mother Feng.
She said to her, "Here. Since you are hungry, I cannot ignore you. After all, you were once my elder. I don’t have many at supplies, but I can share this at bun with you. Eat slowly."
Before Father Feng could say that there was no need, Mother Feng reached out and snatched the bun from Bai iyue’s hand and took a huge bite from it.
"Delicious, Delicious. It’s really delicious." Mother Feng ate as if she had been starving for days, but Bai iyue still noticed that there was sothing wrong with the older woman in front of her.
"You... how can you snatch the food from your junior?" Father Feng was really embarrassed. This woman was really too much.
"It’s alright," said Bai iyue in a calm voice. She looked at the woman who had almost finished eating and curled her lips. She took a look at the watch on her wrist and realised that it was about ti; she said to the woman, "Aunt Feng, are you really crazy?"
"Of course not!" Mother Feng gulped down the at bun and sneered. However, a second later she realised what she had said and her eyes were filled with horror. She wanted to turn around and run away, but it was as if her mouth had beco detached from her body, and she couldn’t control it anymore.
"After the Tiger Gang fell, I was afraid that you would co after and that Father Feng would abandon . So I had no other choice but to pretend that I was crazy."
Bai iyue’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Mother Feng. She asked, "Then does it an that you were trying to fool us all along?"
"Who made this man so incompetent? It’s good enough that I didn’t sell him off after killing him. He should be grateful to for that."
"He can’t even make enough money to raise and my children. If he killed more zombies, then would my daughters sell themselves to those old n? He couldn’t save my son. He couldn’t do anything for our daughters. He even allowed those brats to return ho. If they were under our control, then we could have snatched more supplies in their nas. He is just too honest and simple-minded, which ruined our family."
