No wonder she thought that this woman looked way too stupid. Who would offend soone for the sake of an actor? One who didn’t even know her.
"You don’t need to apologise for her actions," stated Bai iyue calmly.
ng Suisui’s face turned even redder because she understood the underlying aning of Bai iyue’s words. Just because Bai iyue asked her not to apologise, it didn’t an that she did not mind ng Anzhi’s rude actions.
She was willing to forgo but not forgive!
Though ng Suisui wanted to speak up for ng Anzhi, she hesitated and then changed her words. Though Bai iyue was not soone who would attack soone for no reason, why provoke soone so dangerous?
Anyway, Bai iyue and her cousin would hardly et ever again; thus there was no need for her to worry about ng Anzhi.
"Is there sothing else?" Bai iyue asked when she saw ng Suisui standing in the sa spot without saying anything.
ng Suisui snapped out of her daze before bowing in front of Bai iyue. She said to her, "Thank you for helping us just now, Miss Bai. If you hadn’t stepped forward, then we would have suffered a loss—"
"AHHH!!"
"Save , cousin! Save !"
ng Suisui was still speaking when ng Anzhi ca running towards them and behind her were a bunch of n who were hiding in the parking lot.
These n were all holding iron bars and so of them even had knives in their hands.
When Bai iyue saw the group of n, her eyes turned cold and she turned to look at ng Anzhi, who stiffened and lowered her head guiltily.
It was not her fault. These n suddenly cornered her and demanded that she give them money. When she said that she had no money, they were about to kill her.
It was only when she told them that her cousin had purchased a lot of good things that they let go of her but in return ng Anzhi had to bring them to her cousin.
So why was this woman looking at her like that? She was just trying to save her life.
Bai iyue glanced at the woman and looked away, her expression chilling down another two degrees. Very good, the apocalypse had just started and people were already showing their true faces.
"Pretty ladies, throw those bags down and run away. We only need the food."
When ng Qibao saw that soone had co to snatch food from them, he turned to look at ng Anzhi and snapped harshly, "Are you stupid? Do you not know how to hide when sothing like this happens? Why did you bring them here? Are you that foolish?"
"She is not foolish," Bai iyue threw the shopping bags in the hands of ng Qibao. She knew that this man was a scaredy cat and there was no way he was going to join the fight. So, she might as well use him as a free coolie.
At the sa ti, she glanced at ng Anzhi, whose face had gone paler than the moon and sneered, "Instead she is really smart."
ng Suisui was not a fool; she at once understood what Bai iyue was trying to say. Her expression changed as she turned to look at ng Anzhi with a wary look in her eyes.
When ng Anzhi saw ng Suisui looking at her, she felt even more guilty. However, she knew that she could not fall out with ng Suisui and ng Qibao at that mont. Her parents were abroad and she was living with the ng siblings. As she was a student, she was relying on ng Suisui and ng Qibao.
So, she suppressed her guilty conscience in her heart and then said to ng Suisui angrily, "Cousin Suisui, do you really think that I am such a person? She is clearly trying to sow discord. Don’t you know what kind of person your cousin is?"
"We know very well; that’s why we are suspicious," muttered ng Qibao. Though he relied on his sister as well, he would never do anything that would harm ng Suisui!
"You—"
"Enough!" The leader of the thugs sneered as he looked at the ng siblings and Bai iyue. He raised the large butcher knife in his hand and threatened them, "You all better not waste my drop the things in your hands and run or else —"
He made a swiping motion across his throat with his knife, which scared the ng siblings. The supermarket was in a remote place to begin with, and with the lashing rain and the stock running out, it would be a surprise if soone helped them.
In fact, it would be good enough if soone didn’t take advantage of them and joined these thugs to snatch their groceries.
ng Suisui turned to look at Bai iyue, who had dropped her groceries in ng Qibao’s hands and whispered, "Miss iyue, you can run away. I have a stun gun in my bag. I—I can hold these people until you call the police."
ng Suisui was worried that Bai iyue would be agitated because of these thugs after all; her reputation had been ruined by a bad man just a few days ago.
And given how these n were leering at Bai iyue, ng Suisui was sure that they did not have any good intentions.
ng Suisui was indeed really scared but when she looked at Bai iyue, whose arms were thinner than hers, she tried to suppress her fear. After all, she was older and stronger than Bai iyue; she could definitely deal with these n for a few minutes, if not seconds.
But ng Anzhi was really dissatisfied with the decision of her cousin.
Though she was scared by the sudden appearance of these thugs, there was also a little selfish and cruel idea of making these thugs ruin Bai iyue in her heart.
After all, this woman made her idol go to prison while she was freely roaming without any guilt. She deserved it!
On the other hand, Bai iyue had no idea what was going on in ng Anzhi’s mind. If she did, then she would have buried this woman in the ground here and now.
Such that she would not beco a threat to her unborn son in the future.
Unfortunately, she didn’t.
