Listening to the words of the woman in front of them, the elderly turned sombre and resigned. Bai iyue turned to look behind when she heard soone call, and frowned when she saw that it was Tong Huan. Wasn’t she taking care of the wall’s construction alongside? Why was she here?
"What happened?" Bai iyue asked, sensing there was sothing wrong.
Tong Huan panted heavily and then said, "It’s—Its..."
Bai iyue arrived at the gates with a dark expression. She looked at the man standing in front of her and questioned, "What is up with you all? Can’t you give so peace!?"
She wondered why she had spent so many months looking for this place if she was going to find out so soon. And those zombies, since when did they beco so easy to kill? It was like they were being looked down upon.
All this hard work, only to be traced down in a matter of a few days.
Bai iyue suddenly felt like she was a clown who was acting smart.
Fox, who was looking around, paused and turned to look at Bai iyue. He smiled at her and bowed in front of her like a gentleman. "It’s a pleasure to et you, too, Miss Bai."
Bai iyue felt quite amused and helpless facing Fox. This man was really sly; even though she had clearly shown her dissatisfaction, he was still able to smile. And as the old saying went, it was impossible to hit a smiling face, and even Bai iyue found it quite hard to hit the face in front of her. Even though she was much more cold-hearted than others.
"Why are you here? No, how did you even find this place?" Bai iyue asked with a hint of annoyance. As he finished speaking, the sound of soone whimpering echoed behind him, and Bai iyue glanced behind him. When she saw the young and old standing behind Fox, she understood what had happened, and she closed her eyes before inhaling deeply. Even without the man saying anything, Bai iyue seed to have understood what this man wanted her to do and why he sought her out.
