Soon, days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months. Bai iyue was now seven and a half months pregnant. The temperature in the city had once again reached new heights, making them bully the air conditioners to the point that almost all of them started to creak under the pressure. But even then, they could feel the heat.
And during this heat, the one who was having the most temper tantrums was none other than Fu Wan, who had finally reached closer to her due date.
With Fox never returning to the base and his debt piling up, Bai iyue had no chance of sending this woman out of her safe base. As annoying as it was, she was not heartless enough to just toss this woman out, for the heat wave had caused another rise of the zombies outside the safe base. Fortunately, they had created a sturdy circular wall around the safe base, which acted as a barricade and a protective layer against the zombies.
However, despite the peace that she was living in, Fu Wan still had sothing to say about the conditions in which she was living at the mont. Even though the base was not as bad as she thought, at least the bodyguards didn’t have anything against the base and the arrangents. If anything, it was much better and more developed than the safe base where they were living; only Fu Wan, who had a quarrel with Bai iyue on the first day she ca here, had sothing to say about the base and its arrangents.
She kept crying that the mansion, which was handed to her later on, was not big enough, like Bai iyue’s, or that living there was boring, that the water supply was way too much, and that the garden was not beautiful enough. She had never lived in a mansion as dirty as this before. And to make it even worse, every ti she sent a complaint to Bai iyue, the woman would send Xiao Wu down to the mansion.
And the man would only tell her two things.
Firstly, Fox had not sent them any crystal nuclei for the last three months, which ant that she was living for free here and that the water supply and the electricity that she was getting for the ti being were them being charitable and kind. If not, they would have kicked them out on the second day.
Secondly, they were never asking her to stay, and she could leave at any point. There was no need for her to stay here and bother them. If she wanted, she could pack her bags and walk out of the base the second she decided that she didn’t want to stay here.
Lastly, Old Master Bai could live here, and so could she.
Fu Wan naturally knew that the zombies had beco more powerful than before. If she went out, it would be equivalent to getting her skin peeled off her body. And the child in her belly would get into danger as well. She couldn’t leave this place!
But that didn’t an that she liked it either.
Sitting in the air conditioner, she rubbed her forehead and felt rather upset over the fact that the water heater had stopped working, but instead of sending soone to co and fix it, Bai iyue asked her to make do with it, as she would be leaving the safe base very soon.
When soone walked inside and set a plate in front of her, she casually lifted her head and saw the food that was placed on the plate. Her arched brows furrowed, and she glared at the man who had arranged the al for her. She angrily snapped at him, "Why vegetables? Do you want and my child to starve? You know that I am pregnant with the child of your eldest master, and you are feeding this rabbit food!?"
It had been months since she had had at!
The bodyguards had another headache upon hearing this. They looked at one another and had no idea how to deal with this woman. She was the one who refused to pay for the at after she got into another heated quarrel with Bai iyue after the latter refused to send anyone to fix her water heater. Bai iyue’s stance was not wrong.
Fu Wan had been exploiting the electronics in the mansion without giving them a break. What was more, she was careless with how she dealt with and used things. ’Do you all think the electrical equipnt can be fixed just because you demand it to be fixed? We need a lot of material and supplies, and on top of that, you have ssed up the water heater for the fourth ti. The part that is required is no longer at the safe base, and I am not sending soone to bring that part from downtown when the zombies are running rampant! Do you want to watch soone die just because your spoiled miss cannot get hot water? Just take out the crystal nuclei and purchase the hot water from soone. Stop badgering !"
Bai iyue was simply livid when they went ahead and told her that the water heater had broken for the fourth ti, and for a second, they thought that she would kick them out. To make things worse, when they relayed this matter to Fu Wan, she blew up her top and went to confront Bai iyue.
In the end?
’If you want soone to go and get that electric part, then you might as well endanger the life of your bodyguards. I am not you; I am not a spoiled brat who would do such a thing. I care for my people. I will not be sending anyone to put their lives on the line for your bratiness."
And that was how Bai iyue K.O.’d Fu Wan when the latter tried to pretend that she was wronged and bullied by Bai iyue.
