Bai iyue originally didn’t want to pay attention to the managent of the safe base, leaving it to Bai Zhan, Bai Jixuan and Xiao Wu. Bai Zhan frowned when he heard Bai iyue question them about the construction. He realised that there was sothing wrong, but instead of questioning her about what was going on, he promptly answered her, "It’s going well. We have already started fixing the three remaining gates. And after that, we are going to arrange for the machine guns and the remaining surveillance caras to be fixed around the periter." he paused and asked, "Is sothing wrong, iyue?"
"Nothing." Bai iyue didn’t disclose the matter of spies and cause her brothers any worries. Anyway, the matter of spies infiltrating was not sothing that she needed to worry about. Everyone was looking for a leader who could back them up. Though those spies were following Yu Miaomiao, Bai iyue firmly believed that their loyalty could be bought. She swirled the straw in her apple juice and said, "How are the workers being paid? Are they getting paid?"
"No," Bai Jixuan was the one who answered her. He blinked his eyes with a frown on his face and stated, "When we took those survivors, we already told them that they had to work in exchange for getting a place to stay in the safe place. I was the one who told them that we do not raise any useless person in the base. Everyone who wants to stay here needs to work hard."
Of course, soone like Fu Wan was an exception who was living in the base without doing anything. But then again, that woman’s bodyguard did work around the base to pay for their stay.
